Chapter 5 (English)
Otherwise the evening was actually really very nice. At some point we went home. Cliff showed me my room and then went to bed. I changed my clothes. Ellen and Linda had given me a few more things. The room was nice. Potted plants and pictures. I looked at the pictures above the bed. Bon. He looked funny. I would have liked to meet him. He would have been a funny guy, even if, as far as I know, he wanted almost everyone in his bed. I lay down on the bed and soon fell asleep.
*
When I woke up, it was still dark outside. I looked at the clock. No wonder. It's only 3 in the morning. The time change is really terrible. When you come to Sydney from England. Everything so weird. I'm not a bit tired. I got up and went down the hall. Small tea lights stood on dressers to light the corridor. It looked very nice. I went down the stairs to the kitchen and sat on the chair with a sigh. What had just happened earlier? Brian said he loved me... There was something like fear in his eyes. Was he afraid that I wouldn't love him? I love him! Or ... oh no! What if he thought I just wanted him for his money!? No! I don't even want to think about that. But why did he react that way? What was the matter? A small tear rolled down my cheek. There was a loud rustling and I turned around anxiously. Something trudged into the dark kitchen. I only saw the silhouette. It was small. That...thing, went to a closet and opened it. Light streamed into the room and I closed my eyes for a while. It was so disgusting. When I opened it again, the person looked at me closely and we both screamed in fear. He / she had probably just seen me too. The refrigerator door closed and it was dark again.
"Phew. Man, what was that?" Oh. So that was Angus. The refrigerator opened again and we screeched for a while before we stopped. Angus looked like he had reached into the socket. His hair was sticking out in all possible directions. He was just wearing an undershirt and underpants that were way too big. I blushed a little. He looked cute! But not romantic. He's not my type. He was holding a bottle of milk. Oh, the famous milk bottles. He has one on every photo from the 70s! That's why, as a child, I always drank a lot of milk. "Arlene?" He asked uncertainly. I nodded.
"Yes?" He closed the refrigerator. Suddenly the big light came on and he stood in front of me. I shrank back a little! Crap! Does he want me to die of a heart attack!? He walks around here like Phantomas in the old black and white films. He sat down next to me.
"Did you cry, Arlene?"
"I...what? No. Of course not. Don't be ridiculous." I said quickly.
"You know...I...I have problems too. You don't have to be ashamed of it." Was that a serious conversation? With Angus Young? Seriously? The guy had a serious side? That's something completely new.
"What problems do you have, Ang?" I asked. He smiled a little, because, it was the first time, I called him that name.
"Well...you know..." His eyes watered. I took him in my arms.
"I'm here for you." I had to smile a little as I remembered Malcolm saying that to me today.
"You know...I just miss Bon." Angus whimpered against my shoulder.
"Angus, I...were you in love with him?" I asked carefully. He looked at me alerted.
"How do you know?" I smiled.
"You were so happy in every photo. You know..."
"Please don't hate me." He said quietly.
"What!? Of course not!"
"Thanks." He muttered against my shoulder. He was still crying a little. "I'm scared that Ellen doesn't love me. You know? Bon never found out that I love him. Though I know he loved me too. I was just afraid to tell him." I nodded a little and stroked his hair.
"Angus...Ellen loves you. The way she looks at you, the way she touches you...she just loves you."
"But... then why is she so weird?" He muttered.
"What do you mean?" I stroked his back. When he looked at me with those watery eyes and the slightly trembling lower lip, he looked so cute! God! So cute!
"I do not know."
"Angus, you just have to take care of her a little more. She wants affection. Do you understand? The way Malcolm treated Linda. You have to hold her hand. Kissing her and telling her that you love her. You do love her, don't you?"
"Naturally! I love her! Of course!" Angus shouted immediately. I smiled. Yes, he wasn't lying. He loved her.
"Just take care of her a little and she won't be angry as often."
"Thank you, Arlene." He said happily.
"No problem." I smiled.
"But...what was going on between Brian and you today? I know you only came to us today and that I only got to know you today. But...Brian loves you." My heart paused for a moment before it started beating again and I gasped.
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutely. It is very clear from the way he looks at you. It wasn't just me who noticed. But also the others. Do you love him?" I nodded miserably.
"Angus, I...I never lost my memory."
"What do you mean?" He asked, stroking my hand. I smiled weakly.
"I'm from the future." He looked at me with wide eyes.
"You're kidding me."
"No." I sighed and told the whole story. "Please believe me. I don't lie."
"I believe you. I'm just a little confused." Angus muttered. "What... what will happen to us in the future? Will Mal's child be healthy?"
"Yes. It's going to be a girl." I smiled.
"Aw." Angus purred softly. "What will she be called?"
"Cara. And Mal will have a son named Ross."
"Aw." I smiled at Angus. "What happens to the band?"
"You will hold a concert with the Rolling Stones...you will be inducted into the Rock'n'roll hall of fame..."
"That's so cool!" Angus exclaimed excitedly. I giggled. "Will I still undress at the concerts?" I laughed.
"Yes. But you stop at the pants. Believe me, it's better that way." We laughed.
"What is happening to us? How do we look in 2020?"
"Well... you know... in 2020 there will be a virus. The corona virus. Lots of people die from it." Angus nodded a little.
"Does one of us die from it?"
"Not until now. I also hope it stays that way." I said. Angus smiled.
"Are we all still alive?"
"Angus...I think we should stop." I said carefully.
"Answer my question and I'll stop." I took a deep breath.
"You won't like that."
"What am I not going to like?" He asked a little anxiously.
"Malcolm is dying." His eyes widened.
"M ... Mal?" He asked softly.
"Yes." I nodded.
"A... of what? And when?" There were tears in his eyes.
"Of dementia. 2017." Angus was crying into my shoulder again.
"B...But...I love him. Even if I always tease him. He mustn't die."
"This is life, Angus. We are born and die." I said softly.
"He won't remember me, will he?" He asked quietly.
"Dementia sucks, Angus." I nodded. He whimpered.
"Love sucks too." He said then.
"What do you mean?" I asked.
"Let's just take you and Brian as an example. You love each other and you are unhappy." I smiled a little.
"We've known each other for a day, Angus. Give us time. I hope we get together." He nodded. "Keep my secret to you, Angus."
"Yes. Of course." He nodded.
