Types of Time Travel
Explanation: Based on fictional media that has any form of time travel in them
1. Closed Loop:
>What is it?: Closed Loop time paradoxes is when time travelers go to the past and make their presence and actions part of the timeline but has issues with free will
>Examples: Philip J Fry impregnating his grandmother(Futurama), Sarge telling himself to stab Achilles in the foot(Red vs. Blue), Maltruent's battle across time only to be defeated by Ben Tennyson(Ben 10 Omniverse), Luz and Lilith helping Belos in the past(The Owl House), and Jaune Arc becoming the Rusted Knight(RWBY)
2. Multiverse or Alternate Reality:
>What is it?: Multiverse or Alternate reality time line is when two separate time lines when traveling back in time
>Examples: Doris the Helping Hat making helping hats for everyone in the past(Meet the Robinsons), Babs and Barry tried to fix all of their regrets(DC Superhero Girls G2), the Reds and Blues saving Washington from being shot in the neck(Red vs. Blue), Wolverine stopping Mystique from killing Trask and destroy any signs of the Sentinels(X-Men: Days of Future Past), and The Flash saving his mom and created the Flashpoint Universe(DC Comics)
3. Flexible Timeline
>What is it?: What is the flexible timeline is when a time travel undos their existence by ensuring that their parents never met, but has time to undo the damage they have done to the flow of time.
>Example: Back to the future 1, self explanatory
4. The Absolute Point
What is it?: An Absolute Point is a point in time that cannot be changed no matter what you do in the past to change it, attempts to change it would lead to the destruction of the timeline itself. The specifics of the Absolute Point is based on the timeline it's in such as the person, object, or a group of people. However if an event has been prevented in the past, it would still happen in the future.
Example: Dr. Strange preventing the death of Christine Palmer(What if?), The death of Tony StarkI(What if?), The First Avenger(Captain America: The First Avenger and What if), The radioactive Spider-bite(Spider-Man Media), innovations in Stark Industries technology(Iron Man 1 and What if), and Nuclear bombs mutating Godzilla(Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah movie)
5. Unconventional Timeline

>What is it?: According to the video above, this kind of timeline has a non-sensical pattern and it exists separate from a conventional timeline. These kinds of timelines can have conventional rules of time null and void due to its unconventional pattern. You can have Mondays and Fridays in April and December at the same time and not at the same time, while it's Christmas, Halloween, and your birthday on the same day in this week and next week
Example: The time in the TVA(Loki tv series) and Jeremy Bearimy(The Good Place)
6. Deleted Timeline
>What is it?: It's similar to the Multiverse or Alternate Reality timeline but instead of having two existing timelines, the original timeline would be deleted from existence either by cosmic or artificial means. Deleted timelines can happen either by going to the start of the alternate timeline
>Examples: Erasure grenades destroying timelines(Loki tv series), Sonic destroying Solaris with the help of Shadow and Silver(Sonic 06), and the combined power of SCP-055 and SCP-579 preventing the events of SCP-5000
7. Imprisoned Loop
What is it?: An imprisoned loop is a time loop can be in one timeline or in multiple timelines with the expressed purpose of containing something that might be a danger to other timelines or universes.
Examples: The Sentry sent to the beginning of the Zombie Outbreak in Earth-2149(Marvel Zombies), Ragna the Bloodedge being sent back in time to become the Blackbeast(Blazblue), or Maltruent repeating his own defeat(Ben 10 Omniverse)
