[So, this is a one shot, because I wanted to add this in. It takes place after this mission has ended.]

You came to the training rounds with Boruto. You and him have been arguing on which is better, hamburgers or [insert favourite food].

"-urgers are way better! They are yummier and besides, way healthier than the thing you eat!

"What do you mean?! One, the hamburger you eat has the same nutritional value as cardboard. Two-"

"Hey guys!"

A happy Sarada approached you.

"Hey Sarada!"

Lately, she's been looking radiant. With her dad and uncle in the village, she couldn't be happier. Boruto too, his dad has been coming to visit the house more often.

"Sorry, did I interrupted something~?"  Mitsuki said.

The three of you screamed. After realizing it was Mitsuki, you calmed down, so did Sarada and Boruto.

"Mitsuki! Don't scare us like that! I almost got a heart attack ya know!" You scold.

"Sorry. Anyway, the festival."

"Yes, the festival! It's today, right?" You ask.

"Yup, the New Years Festival! The time where everyone gathers around and play games until the night." Konohamaru sensei say, suddenly appearing.

"Eep! Oh, it's just you sensei. Are you coming?" You ask.

"Yeah, I'm coming."

"Do you have a date?" You ask mischievously. You wink at your teammates. They caught on.

"Yeah Big Bro! Maybe like Aunt Hanabi? Oh, I don't know... You seem pretty good friends~" Boruto teases.

"Shut it Boruto!" Konohamaru say, blushing.

The four of you laugh as Konohamaru try to compose himself.

"A-anyway, we don't have any missions today, so you can have fun now!" Konohamaru disappears.

"Man, was old man Kakashi always like that? Dad told me something about it." Boruto noted.

"Eh, who knows. I'm off to help mom. Be at the training grounds at 4.30-ish. Bye!" 

Sarada left the scene.

"I should go to. I need a Yukata." 

Mitsuki left the scene.

"Don't tell me you're going to leave too!" Boruto complained to you.

"Nah! You wanna spar?" You ask mischievously.

"Hell yeah!"

Fight. Start!

It was evening. You and Boruto fell to the ground, gasping for air. After the tournament (which was a tie), you both started training. Halfway, you began to tease Boruto about, what else, Sarada. Which resulted in him chasing you around. He caught up, but you tripped, which made him trip.

" Ma...man..." Boruto heaved heavily. "At least.. you don't... have the time scroll now..."

"Ha... yeah... we would be back... in the past!" You let out a breathless laugh.

"Anyway, what time is it?" Boruto seemed to get his breath back.

"About 4. Why?"

You saw Boruto's face changed to a panicked expression.

"Oh crap! The festival!"

You pause, and start to panic too.

"You're right! Dammit! Sarada and Mitsuki are gonna be pissed!" 

"Well, catch ya later!" 

Boruto left the scene.

"You too!"

You left the scene. 

Once you arrived at your house, you hanged into the yukata (a lightweight kimono) your mother insisted you wore ("It looks so good on you, honey!" She said after you tried it on). Not having the heart to disappoint her, you put it on. You wore a purple yukata, with flower designs and a  dark purple obi (sash or belt) around your waist. You wore a hibiscus purple flower pin and tied your hair into a bun as Kanzashi (hair decorations). And of course, tabi and geta (socks and sandals), to fit in with the Japanese vibe. 

You glance at your reflection from the mirror you bought at the flea market.

I look good.

You quickly dash out of the house. Your mom is out with a friend.

You go into the training field. Sarada is there, along with Boruto and Mitsuki. They wear the Yukata too, according to their color scheme ( Sarada red, Boruto black with pink stripes, Mitsuki blue).

"Hey guys! You look good!" You compliment.

"Thanks. Now, let's go! I can't wait to beat you Sarada!" Challenged Boruto.

"As if."

"What do you mean, I'm sure I can beat you!"

"No you can't."

"Can."

"Can't."

"Can."

"Can't."

"Can."

"Can't."

"Can."

"Shut it! Are we going or not?!" You complain.

"Right! Leggo!"

You ended up having fun. You beat Mitsuki in catching fish, but he beat you in throwing shuriken's.

In the end, you won some good food. Sarada and Boruto disappeared off to somewhere.

"Hah! I win Mitsuki!"

"Right."

"I won!"

"If you say so."

"Thank you! Now, where is Borusara?" You turn to find your friends missing.

"Maybe on a date?" Mitsuki suggested.

"Yes! We have to find them, FAST!" You squealed.

"I know a place." Mitsuki dragged you out of the crowd and into a quiet hill.

"Yooo! This is cool!" Your words echo though the space.

"Shh. They might be coming." A tree is present nearby. You and Mitsuki climb up the tree and wait. Soon enough, Boruto and Sarada appeared.

"Eh? This place is so nice, Shannaro!" Sarada exclaimed.

"I know right? Mom used to bring me and Himawari here all the time." Boruto chimed in.

"Must be nice."

"Yeah." 

The two stayed in silence for a while.

"Right, the countdown starts now!"

"10!"

"9!"

Boruto got closer to Sarada.

"8!"

"7!"

"6!"

"5!"

"4!"

"3!" 

Boruto seemed to puck up the courage to do something.

"2!"

"1!"

Boruto grabbed Sarada, made her face him and kissed her. One short kiss.

He pulled away immediately, face red and turned the other way.

"So cute so cute so cute so cute so cute so cute!" You squealed as you shake Mitsuki. He doesn't look bothered.

"Happy New Year!" You say cheerfully.

"Happy new Year!" He replied back.
