V《 Chamber

◇▪~《 ¤ C h a p t e r 5 ¤ 》~▪◇

❝ ᴄʜᴀᴍʙᴇʀ ❞

Warning : Violence up ahead. I am censoring some words which are not appropriate for some readers.

A dark, hateful staring contest was what seemed to be happening between the two gorgeous women. One in a revealing blood red, and the other, in a charcoal black dress as its lace train, touched the marble floor.

Tension filled the air as both remain silent, glaring down at each other but one decided to shatter the glass of silence. "Nice dress you got there, sister. I bet men will be drooling over you." Valentine sarcastically said as her eyes scrunched in disgust at her sister's revealing dress. At this point, Valentine thought that Lethania could just be naked.

As expected, Lethania smirked back, unaffected. "Well, that's true. I can sleep with any amount of men I want," She showed off and played with her violet hair. "Unlike someone..." She trailed as her eyes slowly met Valentine's. Lethania then smiled proudly. "Who slept once with a man who became a pathetic corpse." Lethania sneered, arm crossed on her chest.

It was quicker than what Valentine had assumed-Lethania's mocking of her dark past-She didn't expect her to start so soon. Valentine clenched her fists in anger, gritting her teeth.

"Well, at least I get to have him. Your so-called alluring beauty doesn't seem to attract him." Valentine shot back, catching Lethania off guard. Her mouth twitched at Valentine's words and Valentine smirked, claiming her victory.

"Now sister, I suggest you go your way to calculate how many men you sleep with the past centuries and leave me alone." Valentine snapped, turning around to walk off but she halted after hearing what Lethania said.

"September 1, the year 1997 ." Lethania's voice echoed throughout the dark hallway as her smirk formed. She won't back down and she was determined to claim back her victory.

Valentine turned around, eyes widened in shock. She knew exactly what the date meant and she was shocked by how she found out about it. She gritted her teeth as she sent Lethania a death glare.

Lethania tilted her head as her mischievous grin grew wider. She won't back down till the day she could send her sister back into the chamber. She wanted to hear her scream of pain, feel the pain-The one she had experienced-longer than her last one.

"You think I won't find out this, sister? Unfortunately for you, I am not that stupid." Lethania proudly said as she walked closer to Valentine. "Ah...but, I can't deny that you are quite clever at hiding that. Just, you underestimate me too much." She chuckled.

"What do you want, Lethania?" Valentine growled. Fire is burning wildly in her but she tried her best to contain it.

Lethania scoffed at her. She scanned her judgingly before leaning in, her breath fanning Valentine's ear. "what I want...is your despair." She whispered and leaned back, smiling proudly.

Valentine's red snake eyes glowed in anger, her glare never faltered from Lethania. Her grin started to bug her out and her patience was starting to fail her.

Then, without any warning, she grabbed onto Lethania's neck and slammed her on the ground. Lethania coughed at the impact and Valentine's tightening grip. Valentine's knees pressed against her stomach, preventing her from moving. "Big mistake, sister." She snapped as she glared down at Lethania's blue snake eyes.

"At least, I-- I never regretted my--my mistake." Lethania stuttered, having difficulty in speaking as she was choked.

Just that sentence, Valentine was brought back to her past memories. The torturous memories filled with screams of horror and people's cheer of agreement. The screams were her own. Only hers, while the others cheered in excitement upon his death.

The day he was killed, her whole world fell apart. Centuries later, she still remembers; the people's cheer, her screams, their merciless faces and his last words.

"No! Please, I beg you! I will do anything you want! Let him go!"

"Guards! Do it!"

"No!!!"

"I love you."

Why? Why did you say that? You should have begged for your life to be saved but you didn't. If I could just go back, I would have chosen to not meet you in the first place. Then, you wouldn't have to die this cruelly.

Her tears streamed down her cheeks slowly as her red eyes turn dark like maroon. She felt weak and her hands trembled in fear.

"Ah look, tears," Lethania said, not a single hint of sympathy in her words. "Devils aren't supposed to shed tears, remember?" She questioned, sarcastically.

Feeling Valentine's grip on her neck loosened, she pushed herself up, nearing Valentine's ear once again. "No matter how much your cry and mourn for his death, you can't change the fact that his death is your fault." She whispered in her ears and Valentine flinched at that. Looking at her weak figure, Lethania laughed hysterically.

Valentine's eyes widened as she recognised. the laugh - The laugh of a betrayer. Something in her snapped and her eyes glowed, expressing her anger. "I hate that laugh; I hate it, I hate it, I hate it." She chanted the words in her mind and she then tightened her grip on Lethania's neck again, slamming her back to the ground.

"I TOLD YOU TO SHUT YOUR FILTHY MOUTH!!!!" She yelled, eyes daring Lethania to speak again.

"But what if I don't? Ah... I really want to meet him again. Should I pay a visit?" Lethania challenged her, smiling amusingly.

Fuming with anger, Valentine was tempted to smash her jaws to shut up her mouth. She grabbed onto her chin tightly as her blood lust grew bigger and bigger.

Lethania's blue eyes glowed brightly and a wide smile plastered on her face. "Just do it; do it! I can't wait to hear your scream when you're back in the chamber. He will be mine if you are not there - mine!" Lethania planned in her mind, excited for Valentine's end.

However, things went unexpectedly and thankfully different. "Okay, that's enough show for today." A male voice can be heard. Knowing who it is, they both didn't turn to look at him.

"Tch! Fucker!" Lethania cursed in her mind as her plan was ruined.

"Stay out of this, Sollace." Valentine snapped, not sparing a glance at the angel standing beside them.

"Let her go Nephele." Sollace sighed as his serious eyes fell on both females.

"Don't call me that. That's not my name--"

"Name or not, your action is forbidden. Do you want to go back to the chamber?" Sollace snapped back, calmly.

Unlike the environment he was in, he looked brighter as he was an angel. He dressed in a full white suit and his hair took the colour of blonde. His eyes were grey and his big wings glowed brightly behind him. Then, another person walked up beside him.

A female dressed almost the same as him. She was wrapped in a fine white dress as her long blonde hair rested on her shoulders. Her eyes were similar to Sollace that one could mistake them for twins though they were siblings spiritually.

"Lady Valentine." She greeted

"Millah." Valentine greeted back with heaviness. She didn't at all appreciate their presence.

"Pardon my brother, he is not that great in conversation. He doesn't mean it." Millah bowed, elegantly and Sollace sighed at that.

"Well, he looks like he actually means it." Valentine snapped back, letting Lethania go as she stood up. Her eyes glaring at the angels in front of her.

"Don't worry, Lady Valentine. I will teach him some lessons later." Millah said and Sollace remains unbothered.

"You better," Valentine scoffed. "What are you angels doing here?" Valentine asked, wanting to know why they had to come all the way here to disturb her when she was trying to kill her sister.

"We have business here in the underworld. So, we came here, and you guys are blocking our way. Plus, that behaviour of yours needed to be put to a stop." Millah explained and Valentine shot a glare at her.

"Be grateful, that behaviour might be recorded down. Stop causing nuisances." Sollace said under his breath, adding fuel to the fire.

"What did you say?! Nuisance? Repeat it and I will rip your wings off! See if you can still call yourself an angel!" Valentine yelled as she grabbed onto Sollace's collar with her trembling hands, pulling him closer.

"Lady Valentine, please calm yourself down. Control your emotion. You know extreme emotions are not supposed to be shown by you." Millah tried her best to calm her down as she grabbed Valentine's hands, gently.

Sollace's emotionless eyes stared down at her burning eyes from his height and later noticed a small crack on her face. Valentine then let Sollace go with a harsh push, snapping another glare.

"Mind your own fucking business next time." Valentine snapped and walked off. Her heels clicked as they hit the marble floor. Slowly, the clicks faded away as she walked farther and farther. Millah turned to look at Lethania who was still laying on the ground. "Lady Lethania?" Millah called, finally brought her attention to her.

"You know, for once, I agree with her," She said as she sat up. She cocked her head, eyes glaring at them. "That you guys should mind your own business." Lethania continued and stood up, quietly walked away.

Sollace watched her slowly walking away and Millah sighed. Like before, the clicking sounds of heels faded away as she walked farther.

"I did say Nephele should be grateful but, shouldn't Lethania be the most grateful? Considering we saved her before anything get worse. Strange how she reacted to our help." Sollace complained as he turned to look at Millah. She kept quiet as she watched Lethania disappeared into the darkness.

"Because they rather work together than to agree with the likes of us."

The moon, bright and beautiful. Way up high in the black ocean. Jimin stood there, silently as both his hands were in his pockets. His emotionless eyes stared up at the illuminating moon in the black sea.

The cold night breeze blew his hair, causing it to flutter slowly. Today was like any other day - a hard and dreadful day but, he was waiting for someone; someone who could maybe save him from this darkness.

He looked down at the flickering lights of the city as he stood near the edge of the school's rooftop. The suffocating feeling of emptiness and loneliness urged him to give up but he ignored it, holding onto his last hope. He sighed and closed his eyes, feeling the cold night breeze.

Then, the sound of a door creaks caught his attention. He opened his eyes turning around to meet the beautiful girl in front of him.

Her beautiful eyes gazed up at him and they glinted under the bright moonlight. The night breeze hits her, causing her hair to dance with the breeze, displaying more of her pale smooth skin. They both kept quiet for a minute, staring into each other's eyes but not so long after, she decided to speak up.

"Jimin, I-I...." She stuttered, unable to bring herself to say the truth. Jimin silently waited for her as he stared at her, memorising every detail of her face, in case he couldn't see it any longer.

"Why do you want to meet me here?" She asked, pushing away her original intention. She looked away, hiding her face from him as she was scared that he could read what she was thinking by looking at her. She rubbed her arms to keep them warm but the cold breeze kept blowing.

Suddenly, a big hand pulled her and she was brought into Jimin's embrace. Slowly, the cold went away, leaving her with the warmth of Jimin. Her eyes widened and her body stiffens but later, she relaxed.

She could hear her heartbeat, beating rapidly with his that was calm and steady. She missed this. She misses his warmth so much, but she knew she didn't deserve it.

Jimin rested his head on the crook of her neck and nuzzled on it. She would love to stay like this all day but being in the same space with him was enough to help her hate herself immensely.

Every second passed by with him, she felt more and more worthless. She tried to push him away but he held her tighter. She attempted again but still, he won't budge.

"Jimin please, let---"

"I love you."

The three words caught her off guard. Her heart thudding, loudly on the inside as she hoped he didn't hear it. Her eyes widened as she stuttered out, "W-what did you say?" She asked, to make sure what she heard was right or if it was her hallucination.

Jimin released her from the hug but his hands were still holding onto her arms. She finally looked up at him and she met his beautiful brown orbs, gazing down at her. The more she looks at it, the more she lack of energy to contain her emotion.

"You heard what I said." He chuckled weakly and hearing that struck her heart.

"B-but, why?" She asked out of disbelief and confusion. She couldn't believe it. The crush she loved for so many years, she couldn't have expected to want the same feeling in return. It was too much for her to handle. So many things had happened causing her emotions to be twisted. She should be happy but instead, she was scared.

"Do I need a reason to love you?" Jimin asked, smiling. No matter how much he smiled, his eyes revealed it all. The depression was hidden within and like what he wanted, he managed to hide it from her.

He wanted to hear the words from her mouth. The three words that could save him from this hell hole, bringing him back into her arms words. He prayed for it, that way he could stop the urge and put his trust in her again.

"I-I...Jimin...I...I am sorry--" She stammered. The emotions she was trying so hard to contain started to overflow. The mask she was wearing started to crack.

"That's not the words I want to hear," Jimin said under his breath, almost inaudible. She looked at him and felt something unusual but she ignored it as her emotions had covered it rather quickly. Her second mistake.

"I-I am sorry, Jimin. I--"

"Come back, please. I want her back," His voice cracked and her eyes widened at that. She opened her mouth to speak again but was cut off. "I want my *** back!! GIVE HER BACK!!" He yelled, scaring her. She flinched and quickly moved away from him. Her hands trembled but she was quick to hide them.

She then noticed that he was trembling too. He was covering his face with his trembling hands and she knew, he was crying. He was in pain too but she never pursued that thought. All she cared about was that she suffered enough - In other words, selfishness.

She walked towards him slowly, closing in. She bit her lips as her teary eyes fell on his face. "Tell me, everything you did is not true," Jimin said with his unsteady voice. He kept clinging onto his last hope, not knowing the rope was on the verge of snapping.

She looked up at him as her eyes couldn't lie. She never wanted this but she had no choice. "No. I did it willingly." She said and looked away so Jimin couldn't see her eyes that are revealing the truth. Her third and last mistake - not telling the truth.

She sighed. "Look, Jimin, I--"

Abruptly, Jimin pulled her and before she could comprehend, Jimin pressed his lips on hers as his hand clutched onto her hair, pushing her head as he deepens the kiss.

Her eyes widened in shock and butterflies fluttered in her stomach. Her heartbeats raced when Jimin moved his lips on her while his free hand kept her at bay.

She knew this was not right and had to be stopped, but her whole body turned froze at his touch and without any warning, her emotions took control. Her lips started to move along with his and she melted into his warmth. Tears streamed down her cheeks as her grips on Jimin's sleeves tightened.

They both kiss passionately under the bright moon, did not care about the cold wind who fought against their warmth. Jimin turned his head as he deepened the kiss, nibbling her lower lip.

She enjoyed it and wished the moment lasted longer but Jimin released the kiss to catch his breath. He then rested his forehead on hers and both breaths fanned each other lips.

That's when she couldn't hold it anymore. She forgot everything; Who she needed to protect. All she wanted right now was to spit the truth. But, it's too late. Her last chance was given and shattered by no one but herself.

"Jimin I am so sorry! I am really sorry! I--I--t--they--"She stuttered, unable to let it out because it was hard.

Jimin leaned in and she closed her eyes, thinking he was going to kiss her again but instead he leaned near her ear as his warm breath fanned it, sending chills down her spine.

Then, he whispered, "Remember, all this happened is your fault."

Her eyes widened and her heart sank. Before she could process what he had said, Jimin took his steps backwards. Her eyes widened even more, knowing where this was going but her whole body froze, ignoring her begging heart.

When Jimin reached the edge, she finally spoke up. "Jimin! No! Please listen to me--"

"I had listened enough. Everything that had happened between us, the smile, the laugh, the jokes; everything. I will acknowledge that as your acts." He said without any hint of emotions.

"Wait, Jimin please let me explain--"

"Goodbye.....****"

She screamed his name as she ran ahead with all her might but even that, her hand couldn't reach him. It was too late, she failed to catch him. Her face of terror was the last thing he saw before everything went black.

"GAHH!!!" Jimin woke up with a loud shout as sweats flowed down his forehead. He was panting and his eyes were widened, trying to comprehend what he just dreamed of. He had his weird dream again. This time a scarier one.

"What is this dream? It felt so real." He asked himself.

Recalling the dream, he gulped as he felt his surroundings vividly and the emotions he held. The moment he jumped down, fear struck him and most of all regretted inflicting such pain on her. "Her....who is she?" He questioned. He couldn't hear the name that left his lips in the dream, and he didn't know why.

He was drained by the whole nightmare but he couldn't bring himself to sleep again so he decided to work instead. He got off his bed and walked towards his closet. Opening it, he took out a shirt, removing the hanger and later wore it. He then took the lamp on the desk and lit up the candle.

He opened the door and it creaked, revealing the dark corridor. The dancing fire inside the lamp fought against the dark, allowing Jimin to have a clear sight of his surroundings. He closed the door behind and walked forth.

After a few minutes of walking, he finally reached the stairs and he climbed them as his footsteps echoed in the dark space. Reaching the top, a dark oak door caught his eyes and opened it, revealing the big library.

He took his steps into the silent library, thinking he was the only one there. Not until he noticed a sleeping figure on the couch. "Right, she exists. Freaking Valentine surprise gift shit." I muttered under his breath, groaning after. He blew out the candle in the lamp and later placed it on the table nearby.

He then walked over to her as his eyes were on her, frowning at her position of sleeping. She was curled up into a ball as if she was trying to keep herself warm from the cold. Jimin felt uneasy seeing her in an uncomfortable position. Realising what he felt, he shook off the thought, trying to walk away but halted when he heard a soft whimper.

He turned around, looking at Y/N and he noticed her shifting uncomfortably. He walked back to her, crouching down to his level and met her frowned face. He tilted his head as his eyes softened seeing her struggling in her sleep. "Is she having a nightmare?" He asked himself.

Later, he decided to wake her up. "Hey, wake up. Hey!" He cooed and he shook her gently.

Unexpectedly, she woke up with a scream and hid behind her arms. Jimin flinched at that but he tried to keep himself calm for her.

"Hey, it's okay. You're fine." He asked as he reached out to hold her shoulder. Before his hand touched her, she flinched. Her eyes widened as they shot up to look at him and he noticed the hint of fear in it before she quickly looked away.

"I-I know..." She stammered as she held her body, protectively.

Jimin later frowned. "You look like you had just seen a ghost. What's wrong?" He asked, earning Y/N's pair of eyes.

"Well, I think I am looking at one." She said and Jimin's lips twitched.

"Why did I even bother to wake you up? Now I wish you will sleep forever." He groaned as he pinched his nose bridge.

She was about to say something when a loud bang came from the door. They both flinched towards the sound and their eyes caught Valentine leaning weakly against the wall. Her head was lowered, shielding her face from Jimin.

Jimin then stood up, crossing his arms. "Finally decided to show up, huh?" He huffed as he walked towards her. "Don't you dare run off now-" He stopped talking when Valentine looked up.

Shivers ran down his spine and he backed away, starting to panic. Oh, how he wanted to run so much but he couldn't. The worst thing was, he forgot where he had put the book.

Valentine's eyes were different. They were dark red. Cracks were seen on her face as bits of it dropped. Black liquid oozed out from the cracks on her face, staining her pale cheek. Black veins can be seen on her neck, travelling down her arms. Her body twitches as she walked closer to Jimin.

Jimin gulped as he held his breath. "Shit! Not again."

Idk why I cried when I wrote Jimin's dream part😢😢

Also, I gonna change some things *sighed* so Jimin has blonde hair in this fanfiction. In the first chapter, I said he has black hair then I said he has navy blue hair. What's wrong with meh??😂 so now, it stays blonde. Hope it didn't cause inconvenience.

Today's chapter is not that great but I hope you still like it!💖 Thank you guys for reading!😘💕
