The crisp November air carries the scent of fallen leaves as she approaches the imposing brick structure of Barton Academy. Morena navigates the hallways filled with students, the sounds of laughter and chatter enveloping her. She feels out of place but is determined to find her mother. She stuck out like a sore thumb, wearing a fur trim jacket in a crowd of uniform-clad boys. She glances at the classroom numbers on the doors but becomes increasingly confused. In a moment of distraction, she accidentally pushes open a door and a room full of boys turned to face her, which made her even more embarrassed. The teacher, whom she recognized as Mr. Hunham looked from the chalkboard.

"Can I help you?", he asked.

"I was looking for room 314. Do you know where it is?"

"Yes. Mr. Tully, would you mind showing this young lady where room 314 is located?"

A tall, curly-haired boy stood up from his seat and walked towards her. Once he closed the door behind them, the two began to make their way down the hall.

Morena knew that the name, Angus Tully sounded familiar. She remembered hearing her mom bring him up while discussing work with someone a year ago. It was the first time she actually saw the student in person.

"So, why are you at this school?", Angus asked.

"I'm supposed to meet my mom for lunch". Morena explained. "She's a Spanish teacher here"

"So, you are Ms. Alvarez's daughter?"

"Yeah", she nodded her head. He told her that he had her Spanish class the previous year. Angus didn't know what to make of Morena. He thought that the girl dressed pretty loud and the odd way she would tuck her hands inside her sleeves, but at the same time, found her beautiful.

"I've heard some stuff about you"

"Really?"

"Yeah. Some people say that you are kind of a troublemaker".

"So, what do you think of me?", he inquired.

"I don't know", Morena said. "Maybe, I need to get to know more". Finally, they finally made it to room 314. "Well, there it is", Angus said as they stood in front of it.

"Yep. Thanks again, Angus", she bid him farewell before entering the room.
