If there is one good thing that has come out of the world ending, than it has to be sleeping in. In the last week I have gotten more sleep than in the last year.

After getting dressed in my same white t-shirt and jeans, I make my way into the kitchen. Anna and Hunter are siting at the table drinking coffee. Anna notices me and waves.

"Jack, sit down, we want you to help us with something." I walk over to where she is sitting and take a seat.

"What do you need help with?" Since they let me stay with them I have gotten to know them pretty well. They have known each other since they were in middle school, and Anna came here after quitting her job as a scientist at NASA.

"Well, we were thinking that since you were an engineer you could help us work out the specifics of what we are trying to build."Anna pulls out designs for what looks like some sort of space shuttle.

"What is it?"

"A way out." Hunter chimes in.

"I don't understand, a way out of what?" I ask still clueless to what they are implying.

"A way to survive Jack!" Anna explains, "What if we could escape it, escape the Sun."

"But to do that you would have to get out of the solar system, right?"

"Right, but with a ship like the one here," She points to the design "we could make it."

"Well in theory yes, but it would take an immense amount of fuel and strength to get through the atmosphere and across the system."

"Yeah, and where would we get the resources?" Hunter questions. We both simultaneously turn to look at Anna.

"Hunter."

"Yes Jack?"

"Who do we know that works at NASA and still has access to the building?"

"But that would be theft." Anna says realizing what we want to do.

"I prefer to call it borrowing without permission but that works too." Hunter retorts.

"To be fair most people's sense if morality went out the window right after the broadcast." I say trying to convince her of our plan.

"Fine I'm in." She states reluctantly.

We spent the rest of the morning deciding on a plan of action. We've decided that we will approach from the forest behind the main building. Anna will enter and open the door, if she encounters anyone she will say that she is just picking up a few things. Hopefully that is believable enough. She will make sure to leave the door open for us, a few minutes later we will make a run for the door. By then Anna will have given us access to the storage rooms, Hunter and I will sneak into the room and gather what we need and load it into Hunter's tuck that will be parked out front.

Now all we need to decide is when, when would be the best time to go steal NASA's things.

"First things first we should finalize our plans for the actual ship itself." Hunter said pacing infront of the table.

"You're right" I look down at the table. Since we started planing it has been filled with papers upon papers of plans and designs. In fact we have been planning for so long my brain was starting to hurt.

"I think this design might work." Said Anna as she quickly finishes drawing something on a sheet of paper. Hunter takes a minute to look it over.

"Jack come look at this I think she might be onto something." I turn my head to get a good look at what Anna has drawn. Going through all of the possible problems in my head, the plan seems to check out.

"Yeah, that could work." I shrug and turn to look at Anna. "Let's do this!"
