Love

It had been three months since they started living in Romania, and they knew that Steve was searching for them both, knew that he also wouldn't find them with the abilities that they both had to remain hidden and 'missing' almost. Aurora tried her hardest to help Bucky with her powers, under his request, he asked her to give him back the memories he had of her and make them the way they were meant to be and she did that, it was the easiest thing to do, all the other stuff was impossible.

Bucky was stunned to see the things that Hydra had changed, he didn't think that it was as bad as it was, he remembered his life in the 40s with her, it was only her face that he could remember, he couldn't really remember anyone else yet. Bucky also remembered her in Hydra and the relationship they built together, it was easy for the memories of each other to be brought back due to the promise. Everything else was harder to find, he wrote in books, he had a whole two books dedicated to Aurora and the things that he remembered about her on his own.

For the most part, Bucky had instead decided to figure things out himself, even though Aurora knew a lot about what he did, the man still didn't want her to see him in that light and didn't want her to feel upset or hurt about what he did.

Bucky waited for Aurora to come out of the bathroom, he fiddled with the chain that he had hanging around his neck, he wore their wedding rings around his neck, always having it hidden under his shirt and out of view, Aurora didn't know he had them. He wanted it kept that way, he was ready to be open with Aurora, but he just wasn't completely there yet.

Aurora walked out, the brunette was humming a song under her breath, Bucky watched amused as she danced around the kitchen grabbing something to eat. She had been perking up recently she seemed much happier, ready to conquer the world if she really wanted to, he didn't know what it was but he definitely knew that Aurora was doing better the more she felt this way.

Bucky walked over to the brunette, she glanced at him with a smile forming on her lips, Bucky held her hand and smiled to himself feeling the simple act of physical touch. He loved holding her hands, it always made him feel special, he didn't really understand why it did make him feel special, it just did.

"You want anything to eat?" Aurora asked meekly, Bucky shook his head, watching as she finished making the rest of her meal.

"How's it going?" She questioned, Bucky glanced at her, a smile forming on his lips as he smiled at her.

"Good."

"That's good." She smiled, feeling giddier seeing his happier look, Aurora continued to hold hands with him as she sat on the couch. Bucky fiddled with the girl's hand, much like she did with his, Bucky placed the plate to the side and turned completely to the brunette.

"What can I do for you, Buck?" The girl asked, copying his actions and turning her body to be facing him. He took a breath, scared to make the suggestion, Aurora waited for him patiently to begin and stared at him kindly as he began.

"You can say no if you're not ready, I'm not pressuring you to do anything I'm just making a suggestion." Aurora nodded, waiting for the words to escape his lips.

"Come to the market with me, I want to take you out, show you what it's like and obviously you don't have to but I want to go out with you, I want to be with you and spend time with you outside of this apartment." Aurora tried to contain her blush, the brunette man chuckled at her reaction, yet still waited to hear her words.

"I'd like that," Aurora whispered, Bucky could still see the nervousness in her eyes, he understood it and would do whatever it would take to make her feel comfortable with being outside.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah. I'm sure."

They decided to go right away, Jessie seemed to be more comfortable being out in the open than Aurora was, she looked more relaxed and definitely looked like she missed it. Bucky held Aurora's hand the entire time they were outside, while she did look happy, he could also see the doubt in her eyes and watched her need to check over her shoulder every few seconds.

Bucky smiled at the brunette as she led them into a bakery, the smell hit their noses, and their stomachs started grumbling at the smell they could practically taste. Bucky grabbed some cash out of his pocket, softly holding Aurora's hand as they walked to the counter and asked for three dishes for each of them in Romanian.

He thanked the lady working on the counter, then handed Jessie some Cozonac, handed Aurora a traditional Romanian Apple Cake and held onto some plum dumplings for himself. They walked down to a small park bench, Aurora honestly would Bucky's enjoyment of plums adorable, he always bought some whenever he went to the market and always came back home with a bunch of them.

Aurora quite enjoyed the treat Bucky got for her, he seemed to just know the types of food that she would and wouldn't like. It made her feel special knowing that he paid attention to her food preferences and knew what she liked just in general.

"Thanks, Buck," Aurora whispered softly, smiling at Bucky as he gave her a nod, then used his sleeve to wipe away some crumbs off the corner of her lips. A group of men boastfully laughed loudly, Aurora jumped at the sound, and Bucky grabbed her hand and made her look into his eyes.

"Don't worry, you're okay, I've got you." He pulled her into his chest, cooing lightly until he felt her relax in his hold, Aurora thanked him softly staring into his eyes and he stared right back. The two were both thinking along the same lines, both wanted to go forward with the action they both have been wanting to do for a very long time and just as they started leaning forward, Jessie interrupted them.

The two both faced Jessie, Bucky holding Aurora's hand in his lap, giving a friendly smile to the girl as the two adults waited to hear what she had to say.

"I hope you say yes to this and I hope you don't get mad because I did this behind your back. I want to go back to school, there's a boarding school not too far from here and I've got a really big scholarship to last me until I'm done with compulsory education, neither of you has to do anything, I really want this... please Rory."

Aurora stared at her sister shocked, she didn't really know how to answer, Bucky poked Aurora softly and she glanced at him and then took note of the expression he had.

"How did you find this?" Jessie took a breath, knowing her sister needed to know everything before she agreed about if she would do anything or not.

"I was looking for a school, I applied for applications and I got this one. It's legit. Please, Rory, they don't need you to be there or anything, they don't need your credentials. It's a program for children without parents, please, Rory."

Aurora agreed to it once she saw the location of the school, and realised that it was real and not fake. Her sister deserved to have a life, she gave it to her, giving her the life she wanted and needed.
