Chapter 6: Thursday Morning
Let's just say that I didn't get much sleep thanks to Rainbow Dash. We both stayed up until three in the morning just texting. Although Dash and I had several different interests, she was still amazing in my opinion. I honestly still couldn't believe what had happened last night at the party.
I sleepily rubbed my eyes and sat up in bed, and looked over at my alarm clock. It read 7:13AM in a bold black color. I stretched my arms and back, then began to get up from my bed to pick out an outfit for school today. I opened up my closet and looked through my clothing and finally pulled down a pair of black skinny jeans, along with a white spaghetti strap top.
After changing into my outfit for school, I slipped on my usual white Converse and slung my messenger bag over my shoulder, then grabbed my cell phone. Even though my bus came to pick me up at 8:50, I still got up really early.
I exited my room, and into the hallway where I was greeted by my brother, Featherweight. Despite our three year age difference, he practically towered over me with me being only five foot six inches, he was five feet eleven inches. His hair was similar to Angel's, except his was wavy and chocolate colored just like his eyes.
"Hey, Fluts... Have you seen the case for my camera? I can't find it anywhere," he asked me with a hint of sadness in his voice. He held his Kodak camera in his hands and as I looked into his eyes, I swear my heart shattered. If anything, I honestly dislike seeing my family members upset.
"Sorry, I haven't... Have you checked the kitchen? Or your closet or your room? Your backpack?" I questioned him, and he nodded his head at every suggestion I threw at him. He sighed in disappointment, then began walking back to his room.
"Make sure you start getting dressed. Your bus comes to pick you up at eight. It's already seven thirty..." I said to him in a hushed voice. I heard him chuckle.
"Yeah, yeah. I know sis... Oh, and by the way - you left your jacket in the living room. I'm guessing mom forgot to tell you again," He said with a laugh. I smiled and replied a simple "Okay" before he shut the door to his room.
I advanced toward the living room and sure enough found my favorite light green hoodie laying flat on the sofa. I pulled off my bag and slipped on my jacket. The right side of the jacket had three pink butterflies printed on the fabric, and was a little big but cozy.
Just as I was about to get comfortable on the sofa, my phone buzzed in my front pocket. I pulled it out, and saw I had a new text message... From Rainbow Dash.

Gooooooood morning! Up and at em' Flutters! (:
I felt my heart flutter and a smile spread out onto my face again as I began to type a response:
Good morning, Dashie :)
I locked my phone, and patiently waited for another response. In less than a minute, my phone vibrated once more. She sure was a fast texter...

Wow. I honestly thought you were asleep right now xD what's going on?
I smiled, and once again sent another reply:
I thought you would be asleep at this time too. Lol! And I guess you can say I'm stuck waiting for my bus to come get me... I have to wait for another hour until it stops by my house :(

Oh, that sucks.. I'm already leaving my house. Want me to go pick you up? We can hang out at the gym if you want to - or we can hang out at the park near the school. Your choice :)
I thought about it for a good minute. I didn't want to be a bother, but at the same time... I actually found myself wanting to be with her. I bit my lip anxiously, then looked back to the screen of my phone. Perhaps, spending more alone time wouldn't be so bad...
Sure. I'll tell my mom that you'll be picking me up :) I hope it's not too much of a bother for you though..
After I pressed on 'Send', I waited for a few seconds before my phone vibrated once more.

No way! Of course, it won't be a bother (x I'll be at your place in ten minutes.. Maybe less.
I grinned, then placed my phone in the front pocket of my jeans and slung my messenger bag onto my shoulder again. As if on cue, my mother came walking into the living room with Angel sleeping in her arms. She flashed a small smile at me, "Morning, Shy."
"Good morning... Oh, um... M-My friend Rainbow Dash is going to pick me up for school. So, I won't be going on the bus today. She should be here in a couple minutes," I said to my mom in a hush, as to not wake up Angel.
Her eyes lit up in an instant, and her smile widened, "Oh, that's wonderful! Will I get to meet her? Is she nice? What grade is she in? How old is she? Oh... Is she pretty?"
My whole face flushed a dark shade of red once my mom bombarded me with several questions. "Y-Yes... And she's really kind actually. She's a junior and she's the same age as me. And um... I g-guess you can say she's really pretty..."
As my mom was about to reply excitedly, the sound of an engine running began to fill our ears. The sound grew louder, but stopped abruptly. My mom and I looked at each other in confusion, until there came a few knocks on the front door. I already had an idea of who was behind that door...
My mother gestured for me to open the door, so I did. My stomach was already doing flips from my nerves, and I just wanted to see Dash already... I grabbed the door handle and opened it and we found ourselves looking at a figure that was familiar to me, but foreign to my mother.
Rainbow Dash. She stood at the door way wearing a white band t-shirt with a black and grey flannel over it. She also wore torn denim skinny jeans that had suspenders hanging down, along with matching worn out black Vans. Her rainbow hair was perfectly messy, and her magenta eyes were glowing with happiness.
"Hey, Fluttershy. Ready to head out...?" Her voice trailed off as she noticed my mother standing behind me. "O-Oh. You must be Shy's mom?"
"Yes. Yes I am. And you are...?" I knew my mom was trying to intimidate Rainbow, and I knew it was working like a charm, because Rainbow was already a nervous mess.
"I-I'm Rainbow Dash. The one and only!" She awkwardly laughed and scratched the back of her head. The awkward Rainbow Dash was actually very adorable if you ask me. "I um... J-Just came by to pick up F-Fluttershy for s-school - that's if you don't mind! You know?"
My mother gave Dash the stare, and I could already sense the fear coming from her. A few seconds later, my mother burst out laughing just like I had. Rainbow stared confusingly at the both of us as she played with the ends of her flannel nervously.
"I'm just messing with you, dear. Of course I don't mind that you take Shy out to school. Just be safe on the road," My mother said with a laugh. I'm surprised we hadn't woken up Angel or anything... I looked at Dash and saw her sigh out in relief. She flashed a smile at me, and I couldn't help but blush.
"Heh... All right. I'll take care of her, don't sweat it." Rainbow Dash said casually, then motioned me to go with her.
"Okay, it was nice meeting you! Have fun at school you two. Bye!" My mother waved at the both of us and finally shut the front door. I stood beside Dash feeling awkward. She looked beyond attractive with that punk rock look...
"Ready to go? I brought an extra helmet for you, so you'll be protected," I froze... Helmet?
We both walked to the driveway, and sure enough there was a black Harley Davidson motorcycle that looked as if it were just purchased. I stared in awe at the vehicle... Those motorcycles were pretty pricey. Sometimes I wondered how Dash was able to afford such expensive items.
Rainbow Dash walked up to me, and held a black helmet in front of me with a small smile on her face. I slightly blushed, and glanced over at the vehicle once more.
"You haven't ridden a motorcycle or...?" Rainbow Dash laughed, and motioned me to come closer, which I had no problem doing. She lifted the helmet above my head, and carefully put it on my head. Once she put it on, our eyes locked and we both flushed red.
Rainbow cleared her throat nervously, and guided me to the motorcycle. She effortlessly got on, and gestured for me climb on back. Slowly, I got on and handed her the other helmet which was also black, but this time had the signature cloud and rainbow lightning strike on the side of it. Once she pulled it on she said a few words to me that made my heart beat faster than ever, "Put your arms around my waist. It'll keep you safe."
I anxiously wrapped my arms around her torso and once I did, I found myself not wanting to let go. I felt more comfortable than I ever felt before. She laughed, and soon she turned on the vehicle and we were off. I swear... Riding on that bike with Dash was the highlight of my life.
Quick A/N: Awwww <3 I love this ship way too much oh my god ;-; <3 The picture I added is actually how I pictured Rainbow's motorcycle to look like cx
