Rainbow Dash's POV

We had just arrived at Soarin's place, and already I could see the amazement in Fluttershy's face. Although the others hadn't even been here before, I found my attention fixated on Fluttershy the whole time. I shook my head and laughed a little... I really need to stop paying so much attention to a girl who I won't even end up with in the end...

I pulled out my cell, and dialed Soarin's number, hoping he would pick up. Luckily he answered on the third ring.

"Yo, Dash! Are you and the gang still here yet? I wanna meet them already!" He yelled through his side of the line. In the background I could clearly hear the sounds of people cheering, laughing - and singing along to the music playing.

"Yeah, we're waiting outside for you to get here! You can bring Spitfire along too - I want her to meet the new girl..." My voice wandered off, and I could hear Soarin' chuckle. "What?"

"Nothing," he said, even though we both knew it was something. "We'll be out in a couple minutes - see you in a bit, Dash!" With that said, the line was cut off and I pushed my phone back into my front pocket. I spun around and saw Fluttershy smiling at whatever it was Pinkie Pie and Twilight were doing.

"All right, guys - Soarin's going to be out any minute with Spitfire." I said. I noticed everyone nod in approval, and as I looked over to where Spike, Rarity, and AJ were standing, I realized that Applejack had eyes on Rarity the whole time. I laughed, capturing the attention of the trio.

"Whatcha laughin' at Dash?" Applejack questioned with a slight glare. I simply shrugged and smirked at Applejack, then glanced at Rarity quickly. It took her a moment to finally interpret the situation and once she did, I swear she could not stop blushing. "Shut yer face, you little..."

Tears began to well up in my eyes and I was about to burst out in a fit of laughter until a certain couple came walking from behind me.

Fluttershy's POV

"Whatcha laughin' at Dash?" Applejack's heavy country accent filled my ears, and I curiously looked at where Applejack stood. There, I noticed her glaring at none other than Rainbow Dash, who looked as if she were about to burst out into a heavy fit of laughter. She made a gesture at Applejack with her eyes. "Shut yer face, you little..."

"Hope we're not interrupting anything," Everyone focused their attention at the couple standing behind Dash. The guy who spoke was rather tall with a lanky, but muscular build. He had navy blue hair that was styled into a messy, yet perfect mohawk. His eyes were a gorgeous emerald color, and looked full of life and joy. He wore a white muscle shirt that had a picture of an apple pie, with a pair of grey jeans and black DC shoes.

"Believe me, yer not," Applejack replied to the teen, and stared at him confusingly. "Pardon, but none of us have ever met ya, before. Mind tellin' us yer name?" The blue haired boy chuckled and held his arm around his girlfriend that had shoulder length, tousled orange and yellow hair. Her eyes were being hidden by a pair of shades.

"Name's Soarin'. I'm Rainbow Dash's best buddy in crime. Isn't that right, Skittles?" He nudged Dash's side with his elbow and in an instant, Rainbow Dash blushed and glared at him. I couldn't help but giggle at how adorably she reacted.

"Ah - so you're the new girl everyone's been talking about, huh?" Soarin's girlfriend asked me with a side smile. She removed her sunglasses, revealing magnificent amber colored eyes that sparkled with curiosity. I shyly nodded and backed away a little behind Twilight. "Fluttershy... Right?"

"Y-Yes..." I stammered out quietly. The girl chuckled at my futile social attempt. Smooth move, Fluttershy...

"You don't have to be shy around us. I'm sure we'll all get along just great! I'm Spitfire, by the way - another one of Dash's closest childhood friends." Spitfire waved at me and smiled. They seem friendly enough. I just don't understand why I'm so shy around people that are very nice.

"I haven't met any of the others - what are your names?" Soarin' questioned the rest of the gang with a slight laugh.

"Name's Applejack." She said to him, and outstretched her hand. Soarin' gladly accepted the hand shake then looked over at everyone else. After everyone else introduced themselves to him, he began to turn around the other way towards his home.

"All right, guys. Well have fun at the party - the pool's in the backyard and there towels out there too in case you need them. The third floor is off limits, by the way... Anyways - have fun!" Soarin' laughed then began to walk back inside whilst holding Spitfire's hand in a loving manner. They look so adorable together.

"How about we head inside now? I feel awkward just standing here..." Rainbow Dash spoke up, and laughed awkwardly. Everyone agreed with Dash, and we soon finally decided to follow Rainbow into the mansion. Once we opened the door, we were greeted by a severe population of different teenagers - some I recognized - and a loud blast of music. The whole room reeked of food, and alcohol and I couldn't help but watch as a few drunk teens began swaying back and forth, soon collapsing onto the ground hilariously.

"Hey kid you've got a lot of potential!

But I think its time to move up, so go on and blow us away with your sound!

Now you're everything that we've come to love.

You taught us to move, so we'll show it off.

Just drop us the beat!"

Several teens in the room cheered and clapped as that one song came on and I could clearly hear Rainbow Dash singing along to each and every lyric with a beautiful melodic voice I never thought she would have. Pinkie Pie joined in with the singing and clapped along with the beat of the music. Everyone formed a circle around the pair and I couldn't help but back away from everyone.

"Fluttershy! Where you going?" I heard Twilight shout out through the loud, catchy music and walked over to me with a concerned look on her face. Since I knew I wasn't at all that good with shouting, I simply shrugged at her. She seemed to get the hint, and soon she walked by me and we pretty much started to walk around the large house.

"Drink up, last call, before the sunrise sets the scene, of empty bottles, heavy hearts.

The memories of broken dreams.

We were so tired, yet so alive

Wrapped up in lies like sheets of another one-night stand."

In a matter of seconds, I looked over at Twilight and saw her singing along with the song. I stared confusingly at her, and at everyone else. What's with this song that just drives everybody crazy in such an invigorating way?

Twilight and I soon walked into the kitchen where a whole buffet of food was being served at. Different people were casually sitting and talking with each other, while some couples were making out in several places of the room, making me feel pretty uncomfortable. The sound of the music began to beat in my chest, and I came to realize that I just wasn't meant for this kind of lifestyle.

Before I could walk away, Twilight tugged at the edge of shirt and held a red plastic cup in front of me, gesturing me to drink it. I slowly took the drink and examined it. The contents looked and smelled like fruit punch...

"Don't worry - I'm sure there isn't any alcohol or drugs in it, Fluttershy," Twilight said, reassuring me and poured herself a cup of the same fluids. We both took a large sip of the drink and we began laughing at my own silly thought of it ever being drugged. "Let's hang outside. I'm pretty sure it'll be much calmer out there than here."

I silently agreed with her idea then smiled. It was absolutely nice of her helping me out like this when I knew I was at my most insecure moment. The song that had been playing when we entered was still going on, but there wasn't any sign of the others. Hopefully they're all right...

Twilight grabbed hold of my hand as she pushed through the crowd in hopes of finding the door to the backyard. The lights were dimmed on this side of the house, but the swarm of people remained. I looked to my right and noticed Spike and Rarity cuddling on the black leather couch with a drink in each hand as they talked and laughed. Well, at least we know that those two are okay.

I scoped out my surroundings and noticed a few of my own classmates wandering around the room aimlessly, laughing at nothing in particular. I suddenly heard a loud crash from the opposite side of where Twilight and I both were. We spun around and saw a group of jocks laughing their heads off as one of the bulky guys was laying flat on his back on top of a table that was once unbroken.

I giggled a bit, and we soon found the sliding door that would soon lead us outside. Before either one of us could even open up the door, an unfamiliar voice called out to us.

"Hey!" Twilight froze on the spot, and spun around toward the voice just like I had. I looked over at the girl who called out to us. She had a smile on her face, but it went away when she saw me - probably confused as to who I was.

The girl looked absolutely stunning, with wavy red and yellow hair that stopped at her waist. She wore a black leather jacket with a pink tank top underneath. On her chest, was a tattoo of a sun. Half of it was yellow while the other half was a crimson red. She wore an orange skirt with two stripes on the side. In addition to that she had on black and purple knee high boots.

"Oh? You're the new girl, right?" She asked sounding rather curious. A smile formed on her lips and her face softened as she giggled a bit. I nodded and noticed how her blue-green eyes shimmered with the light. "Heh, I'm Sunset Shimmer. It's nice to meet you!"

"U-Um... Same to y-you." I unintentionally looked down at the ground feeling more anxious than ever. I felt Twilight pat my back reassuringly.

"It's all right... Sunset - this is Fluttershy. And also, she happens to be in the same chemistry class as us," Twilight said to Sunset. I looked up and noticed that Sunset's eyes lit up almost immediately.

"That's great! That'll probably give us some time to hang out together and get to know each other and all... Sorry, if I may seem pretty... Off? I guess... It's just that I ran into some trouble a year ago... But other than that, I'm always open to making new friends." She flashed a small smile then looked back at Twilight.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow, Twi... I'm already heading out. All of this," she gestured towards basically everything around us. "Tired me out and all... Well, if you're not busy, we should hang out sometime - if you're okay with it, you know? Or if you're not busy and all." Her voice trailed away, and I noticed a faint blush appearing on her cheeks.

"Sure thing. I'll text you when I get home from the party," Twilight said in response. Her face had reddened just a tad.

"O-Okay, sounds great! I-It was nice meeting you Fluttershy! I'll see you both tomorrow in class. Bye!" She waved a small goodbye to us, and began to walk away into the crowd. She seemed nice enough, but I couldn't help but feel as if something was going on between her and Twilight. A crush, maybe?
