Chapter 11: Group Chats & Green Day

A/N: Wow, you guys are totally lucky! I updated today! Sadly, I wasn't able to introduce any fan favorite characters, or Original Characters made by you guys :c But hopefully at least one of each will be introduced in the next chapter. The picture in this chapter is a drawing I made of my OC, Monstarr Power!!!!!!! :D Her Pegasus form, AND her human form! Sorry the drawing is terrible >.< But have fun reading you guys! :3

Upon arrival at the parking lot, I shakily hopped on and slid on my helmet while setting the second headgear between my legs. I started up the motorcycle, and soon began to drive away from the school parking lot, and into the street. All the while, I couldn't help but think back about the situation that just occurred not too long ago.

After what seemed like ages, I had finally arrived at my house: A massive, white three-story mansion. The exterior was beautifully decorated with a small garden out in the front, along with a ten foot high stone water fountain that was perched at the center of the circular cobblestone driveway. A few big emerald green hedges stood around the area of my house, making it look like nature's fence.

I drove up on the driveway, and parked my motorcycle beside my sky blue convertible. Once doing so, I placed both helmets back onto the seat of my vehicle. Afterwards, I began to look around for any sign of my dad's truck. And to my luck, he was out. A sigh of relief escaped between my lips, as I began approaching the front door of my house, which was painted a vibrant red color.

My fingers slipped down my front pockets, and pulled out a single house key. I popped in the key inside the lock, and it opened with a small 'click'. Finally, I twisted the bronze colored doorknob and stepped inside my home. A gust of icy air slapped my face as I walked in, and the sensation didn't really bother me since my family loved the cold. Shutting the door behind, I slipped the key back inside my pocket and observed my surroundings.

The living room consisted of a large black, leather circular sofa that seemed to take up a little less than half the room. Atop the wooden flooring was a floral rug that covered most of the space here. Several feet away from my sofa, was the family 50'' HD television that neatly sat on the mahogany table it was on, and had two long speakers that hung from the wall on each side behind it.

I honestly never really spent most of my time here in this room unless I was having a sleepover with my friends, band mates, or family (which was usually only on holidays). I let out a breath I didn't know I had been holding, and turned to my left and ascended the wooden staircase until I reached the second floor of the house which was home to me and Scootaloo's separate bedrooms.

I walked down the long empty hall, and observed some old family memories that were hung up on the wall neatly. Several of them consisted of Scootaloo and I when we were younger. I stopped in front of one that always stood out to me the most... A family photo of the four of us: Mom, Dad, Scootaloo, and me. We all wore matching blue jerseys and were closely packed together. The one thing we shared the most, was a smile.

Usually, these kinds of things I would brush off. I mean, they're just pictures after all. I just couldn't help but feel lonely just looking at it. I must have been eight years old when that was taken. It was the age when our family got along. We didn't have a care in the world during that small period. Then that all changed, when our parents suddenly refused to talk, much less make eye contact with one another. She always snapped at Scootaloo and I for reasons still unknown to this day.

I was ten when my mom packed her bags and left home one afternoon, and the following day, she was pronounced dead on national television due to a failure of the plane's engine, that cost over fifty lives of other innocent people.

We were left with my dad, who constantly blamed us for the loss of his wife. He consistently drank, beat us whenever we were in his sight, and often came home with different women every week. The same cycle has been going on for seven years now, and I've always been the one to take the beatings. I always pushed my sister out of the way, because now, she was the only family member I had that I truly cared about.

I turned my gaze back onto the floor and soon began walking towards my bedroom door that was conveniently next to Scootaloo's. I rested my hand on the doorknob of my door, as more thoughts continued to flood my mind. Slowly, I opened the door, and stepped inside my room.

I closed the door behind me, and looked up once more. My room was painted a soft shade of blue, and had several posters pinned up on the walls - some of which were posters of Nirvana, Green Day, Blink-182, and My Chemical Romance. My twin-sized bed was sloppily made, the black bed sheets were pretty much all over the place along with some of my dirty laundry.

At the right side was a white desk with a variety of notebooks and school books neatly stacked on top of each other. A small lamp was placed at the edge, along with a coffee mug filled with my pens and pencils. At the far corner of my room was my guitar amp, and my prized blue electric guitar - complete with a red customized fret board with yellow lightning strikes on every couple frets.

Next to it, was a black Fender acoustic guitar with a grey 'X' at the edge of the body of the guitar (made from duct tape) and seemed to have collected dust over the course of the weeks.

I sighed once more, and removed my flannel and tossed it onto my bed and plopped myself down onto the black swivel chair that sat in front of my desk. I wanted the day to be over, but at the same I didn't. What if Gilda really did transfer back to Canterlot High? What would happen to me and my friends then?

"Why did this have to happen..." I muttered to myself and rubbed my face with both hands. I continuously thought to myself about this, and wondered if she came back to have revenge. Before I could over think things a lot more, my cell phone went off, scaring me to death.

I pulled the device out of my pocket, and saw that the caller was none other than Scootaloo herself. I swiped the screen, and brought the phone up to my ear, "Hey - shouldn't you be in class?"

"Hey, shouldn't you be in school?" She responded back, and I couldn't help but laugh.

"Yeah, but the nurse said I could come home for the rest of the day today," I said with a smirk. "Looks like that kind of stuff only happens to awesome people like me."

"Oh, whatever... Anyways, Applejack told me what happened, so I decided to ditch class for now to talk to you and ask if you're okay or not. You know? Just like a good sister would do," She replied to me, and I could clearly hear the smile in her voice.

"Yeah, thanks for that, squirt - and just to answer your question, I'm fine. I just passed out this morning, because I wasn't feeling good at all." There was a long pause on the other line.

"Sure. Okay. I honestly don't buy it, but I'll leave you alone about it."

"Thank you. Now get back to class. Dad's going to be pissed at me for missing half a day of school; I don't want him getting after you too for missing a class. Okay?" I stated to her, and made sure to have a stern tone of voice. Scootaloo groaned in annoyance on her line, and I chuckled in response. "Yeah, thought so. Now get to whatever class you have right now."

"Fine... Oh, and if you're having band practice today, can I invite Apple Bloom, Sweetie Belle, and her boyfriend too? Pleeeeaaaaaase?" Scootaloo whined, and I just agreed so that she would return to her studies already. Finally, we both hung up.

For a full moment, I just sat there wondering what I should do about Gilda. Obviously, I can't hide it from my friends because this is a Hell of a big deal once you really think about it. Maybe getting together for another band practice would be a good thing today. Crap, I don't want to leave Fluttershy alone though... I'll just keep texting her so she won't feel lonely today. Plus, I've been dying to talk to her since we chatted back at the nurses' office.

I nodded at myself, then rolled the swivel chair over to my bed to retrieve my laptop from under the covers, and set it down on my lap as it began turning on. While it was starting up, I rolled back over the desk and put the laptop on the desk's surface. A minute or two later it was up and running, and I quickly opened up the internet browser. I opened up a new tab, and logged into Equestria Daily.

Not many people were online apart from Aria Blaze, Spitfire, Sunset Shimmer, and my long distance friends which were Lightning Dust, and Silver Struckk (Monstarr's girlfriend). Without much thought, I opened up a new chat with Sunset Shimmer, and added Monstarr, Applejack, Spike, and Pinkie Pie into the conversation.

Group Chat: SS, Starr, AJ, Spike, Pinkie

Started: 12:37p.m.

Rainbow Dash: Hey guys. Just thought I should let you know that today we're having band practice today after school at my place again.

After sending the message, I was about to close the laptop, until a small beep was heard. I looked back at the conversation and saw that Sunset Shimmer had replied to it.

SS Shimmer: Glad to know you're doing okay (: and I'm up for it. I have nothing else to do all week long. Hopefully the others will be able to make it too.

I smiled, and began typing up a response before another notification sound was heard, and someone else had responded.

AJ Apple: Yeah, thank god you're all right. I'll go back home after school to get my bass, and then I'll drive over to your place.

Rainbow Dash: Thanks guys & just letting you know, Apple Bloom is coming to my place with Scoots, Sweetie Belle, and her boyfriend... I kinda forgot what his name is.

Pinkie Pie: His name's Button Mash. Duh! Gee, Dashie! Where have you been?

SS Shimmer: well, she DID pass out during school today so...

Pinkie Pie: hahahaha oh yeah! Can't believe I forgot about that.

Rainbow Dash: OH YEAH. Okay now I remember :P

Starr Power: DID SOMEBODY SAY 'BAND PRACTICE'?! ;D

Pinkie Pie: MONSTARR. YOU'RE HERE.

Starr Power: Damn right I am. Boss Guy let me out early today. Said that I should come back to GC later to help him restock some new guitars that are being shipped here.

SS Shimmer: agh! I seriously can't wait for my new guitar to get here!

AJ Apple: I got my new bass yesterday actually

Rainbow Dash: Everyone's getting upgraded except for me. Smh.

Pinkie Pie: Don't worry, Dashie! I haven't upgraded my set either. (:

Starr Power: Oh hey, Sunset - your guitar should ship in tomorrow morning :3

SS Shimmer: Oh HELL TO THE YES

Spike 'the Dragon': Guys, you need to chill the Hell out sending messages. Almost got in trouble with Miss Cheerilee >->

AJ Apple: Well look who decided to show up

Rainbow Dash: About time, Spike! So what's the deal? You guys up for band practice tonight or nah?

Pinkie Pie: YUP

AJ Apple: Already agreed on it (:

SS Shimmer: Same ^

Starr Power: Sure mate

Spike 'the Dragon': Yeah. I'll tell Twilight to drop me off at your place.

Rainbow Dash: All right, cool. Well I'll let you guys get back to work :3 see you guys after school.

After we all said our bye's to one another, I logged out of ED, then opened up my music library. After scrolling through all of my songs, I finally decided to play the song Holiday by Green Day. I quickly turned on the speakers while the song was loading, and finally the song played full blast. I smiled, and hopped off of the chair I was sitting in, and jumped straight onto my bed.

Once I was on, I reached under my bed to grab a comic book, and soon began reading another issue of 'The Mane-iac'. Pretty soon, all the worries I had soon came to a complete halt. Now, I can focus more on meeting up with my band mates, and reading about what the Power Ponies will face against the Maretropolis super villain.

Hm... Maybe I'll order pizza.
