Chapter 1: School Hours

After generously showing me all around the school (which was quite a bit confusing with some of the twisted hallways and hundreds of doors in each floor) we luckily got to our first period classes before the bell had rung. First period was EQ History, and at this point, Iâm absolutely dreading the rest of my classes â considering the fact that most of them might ask me to introduce myself in front of my new classmates.

The second bell of the day rung out, signaling that it was time for us to get moving to our second period class. While most of the students scurried out, I was barely putting my notebook and pencil back into my messenger bag. I looked up and noticed Twilight waiting patiently for me at the doorway, flashing me a quick smile.

Once I walked down the row of desks I finally made it out of the classroom where we were met with a mob of teenagers of all grade levels and ages. Most of them were pushing and shoving each other to either get to class, or to just be plain rude.

"Stay close to the wall... It'llsave your life," Twilight muttered to me. We both laughed and walked alongside the wall until we both ran into a boy who appeared to be a freshman.

He was only about an inch or two shorter than I was, and had on rectangular shaped glasses, with pretty emerald eyes. His hair reached up to his neck and was both black and neon green. The boy wore a white t-shirt with the Wonderbolts logo on the front of his shirt, and had on beige cargo shorts with blue sneakers.

"Sorry about that, Ecylyptic! We didn't see you there with the crowd," Twilight greeted him with a grin. Eclyptic nervously smiled at me, then at Twilight. He awkwardly laughed.

"Oh, it's fine, no worries! Haha! Er... You didn't happen to see my cousin around, did you? She's kinda mad at me and I'm pretty scared to go talk to her." Eclyptic looked down at the floor, ashamed. Twilight messed up his hair and chuckled.

"Don't worry, I'll talk to Sunset about what happened. I'll text you the results. Eclyptic looked up with a big smile and hugged Twilight tightly while repeating 'Thank you, thank you, thank you' over and over again. "No problem! Just try not to upset her next time. We all know how she gets - well, except you, Fluttershy."

Eclyptic waved good-bye to us before he ran down the hallway. I glanced at Twilight and we both began to walk to our next class which was Chemistry. Curious, I asked about the boy we had just run into moments ago.

"Oh, his name is Eclyptic Greene. He's barely a sophomore in this school despite his height," Twilight paused to let out a small chuckle. "Me and him met since I was particularly close friends with his cousin, Sunset Shimmer who is, of course, in the same grade as you and I. Me and her met back in grade school, and let me tell ya, things were extremely competitive between Sunset and I, and we constantly fought to see who was better.

"There were times when either one of us would succeed at challenging things, and the loser always demanded a rematch no matter what. We had a bit of a rivalry, you can say. But over the years we grew out of our childish ways and became really close friends and all. You'll meet her too one day." Twilight finished and I looked over at her and I realized that she seemed to be lost in thought.

"Um... Twilight? Chemistry is that way," I tugged her arm gently and pointed down the stairs which would lead us down to the third floor of the building. Once she snapped out of it she laughed it off and led the way once again.

After getting sucked into the crowd, we had finally survived and made it to our chemistry class. Outside of our chemistry class was a tall, skinny man with white and gray hair, and a goatee. His eyes had a tint of yellow, and his irises were as red as a ruby. He wore a brown coat with a tattered, white scarf. The white, button up shirt underneath the coat was wrinkled and unkempt along with his hair. His different colored pants are what confused me the most - one half was green while the other half was maroon.

The moment he saw us, he held open the door for the two of us to enter. The man looked down upon me, intimidating me quite a bit. Twilight scoffed and moved onward into the class, but it was as if he kept me in a daze.

"Oh? Looks like there's a new student in my class! How wonderful! If only Principal Celestia would have alerted me beforehand so I could have retrieved an extra seat for my magnificent classroom of chaos - and by chaos, I mean the students," He muttered out the last part and chuckled to himself. He bowed down his head. "I'm Professor Discord, your chemistry teacher for the rest of your junior year. And you are?"

"F-F-Fluttershy, Professor Discord," I whispered out. My anxiety was getting the better of me and I could already feel myself trembling like mad, and the tears were already arriving shortly. Discord raised an eyebrow while crossing his arms and gave an expression that looked as if he were disappointed or even frustrated.

"My dearest Fluttershy, there's no need to cry. Sure, the first day of school is usually the worst, but eh... Even a little chaos could brighten one's day if you really needed it to," He laughed half-heartedly and politely told me to find an empty seat for me. When I walked inside the classroom, I would have expected to see every inch of it covered in lab safety posters and science related things on the board. But even a professor with chaos for his name couldn't have been more ironic than his own classroom.

The ceiling of the room was decorated with multicolored plastic test tubes and flasks used for class. Heck, even a RULER was hanging upside down on the ceiling by a thin thread glued onto the ceiling. Instead of having the room painted white like the others, this one was painted brown, and the classroom posters were hung up and glued in odd positions.

The green chalkboard in the front of the class was scribbled on all over with different chemistry symbols and words I hadn't even learned yet in Cloudsdale. On the right side of the board was some sort of creature with a highly asymmetrical body. It consisted of a long slender body, a lion paw and eagle talon. Its head was decorated with two different horns and had some kind of zebra-like mane. One foot of the creature was a hoof while the other was a some kind of reptile part. Its tail represented one of a dragon, and both wings were diverse from the other.

The strange creature was drawn holding a purple umbrella while many lines were drawn on the board, representing rain. Some text was written with upper and lower case letters that read "ChOcoLaTe Rain" in a little storm cloud. What even...?

This room could give a person with OCD a heart attack!

"Fluttershy! Over here!" The sound of my name being called made me jump up a little. I turned to where my name was called and saw Twilight waving at me to come over to the table. Sitting beside Twilight, was another girl with wavy silvery hair that ran past her waist like mine and Twilight's. What stood out the most was that the girl had on a blue witch hat with a blue cape that were both designed with stars and other astronomical things on the fabric.

I pulled out an extra chair for me to sit on, and took a seat beside Twilight. The unusually dressed girl caught me staring, and I couldn't help but look down in embarrassment as my face heated up. Oh gosh, she must think I'm stupid or something!

"The Great and Powerful Trixie demands to know why the pink haired girl was staring," her voice was a little high pitched, catching me off guard a little. I slowly lifted my head and saw that she was towering over me. I squeaked instead of actually forming words, causing my blush to redden once more.

"I-I'm s-s-sorry..." I whispered out frightfully. Twilight sighed and closed the book that she was reading and pushed the girl down to her seat.

"That's enough. Look what you've done, Trixie. You've scared her half to death!" Twilight scolded Trixie and the girl looked down in annoyance with her arms crossed in front of her chest. Twilight let out another sigh, and looked over at me, "It's all right, Fluttershy. That's Trixie Lulamoon, one of my other closest childhood friends."

"The Great and Powerful Trixie agrees. Trixie owes an apology to the one allegedly named Fluttershy." Trixie bowed her head and Twilight only face palmed. A shade of red was visible on her face. This school is only getting stranger and stranger. Could things possibly get anymore unusual?

"Good morning, my fellow subjects of chaos!"

I spoke too soon.

"I'd like to introduce you to our newest member of this chemistry class! Fluttershy!" The class began to murmur and I could already feel every students' eyes burning right through me. I hated the attention, and if I could, I would die right on the spot.

"Looks like Miss Shimmer is out sick today. Fluttershy will be substituting your friend's absence, Miss Sparkle, and Miss Lulamoon," Twilight rolled her eyes and looked down at her book once more. Discord chuckled at her action and clapped his hands together.

"All right class! Take out your textbooks to page 132. It's time to conduct an experiment."

Let's just say our class ended with someone's experiment exploding in their face. I have to admit, it was quite funny seeing his reaction, even though it might even traumatized him for a long while. Okay, that sounded even worse than I thought it would. The rest of the periods went by pretty quickly as Twilight had mentioned earlier, and it was already sixth period - lunch.

The cafeteria of the school was located on the second level of the building, and was pretty easy to locate. After getting lost in the crowd a few times, I finally managed to find the large glass doors that would soon lead me inside the eatery. Outside the door, my gaze was set upon Twilight and Pinkie Pie. The first I noticed immediately was their facial expressions. Both girls had a worried look on their face, but those expressions soon vanished into joy once they saw me.

"WHIPPEE! WE FOUND YOU! For a huge second, we thought you got eaten alive by the crowd of people! But LUCKILY, you were STANDING THERE THE WHOLE TIME! CAN YOU BELIEVE IT, TWILY? WE DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE HER THERE!" Pinkie Pie cracked up in laughter, and couldn't help but giggle myself at how bubbly and energetic she was.

"C'mon, you two. The others are probably waiting for us by now." Twilight led the way, and it took me a moment to realize that Pinkie Pie seemed to be skipping, instead of walking normally like the rest of us. She's a strange one, that girl. But if she's happy, I'm happy.

Pinkie Pie pushed open the glass doors, and we were all finally inside the cafeteria. The walls of the large room were painted blue, and at the center of the wall on the right was a painting of a large white shield with six pink stars inside it. Around the shield were bursts of yellow and white, probably representing shooting stars, or something of the sort.

At the center of the room was several black, pink, purple, and white colored rounded tables scattered around in an orderly fashion with an equal amount of seats for each table. Already, several students crowded the cafeteria, and were occupying the majority of tables, making me wonder if there was even going to be enough room for me to join Twilight's group of friends.

Up ahead, were several different fast food stands from burgers, to foreign foods that I hadn't even tried. This cafeteria was like a mall, except this was actually part of a school. On the left side of the room was a balcony like structure, with a few round white tables perched on them. At the end of the platform was a white spiral staircase that would lead you straight to those seats.

Underneath the balcony was a small book shop where more than a few students were at, sitting down on the sofas, reading. Perhaps one day, I'd stop by to check it out with Twilight, after finding out that she was quite the reader.

"Enjoying the scenery?" Pinkie Pie asked, nudging my shoulder while giggling. I simply smiled and nodded.

"Cloudsdale High is nothing compared to this school. Even though I've been here for only a day, I already really love this school... Even though it may be a bit unusual," I laughed a little as soon as Pinkie Pie began to clap in cheerfulness.

"Oh, I see them! Come on, girls," Twilight announced happily. Pinkie Pie and I both trailed behind her as she began to lead us to the milky white spiral staircase I had seen just a moment ago. I tugged at the ends of my sleeves as my anxiety came creeping in. What if her friends don't like me? What if they kick me out of the group? What if -

"Aw, damn -"

I hadn't even been looking where I was going once we finally reached the balcony, and I wound up colliding into another girl, causing me to fall backwards. I yelped in both surprise and in pain, and heard Pinkie and Twilight gasp together. I felt their hands on my back and shoulder as they both asked me if I was okay or not. Before any of them could even try to help me up, the girl I had bumped into outstretched their hand in front of my face.

Using my hand, I shakily moved my pink bangs away from my face and put them to the side as always. The moment I looked up, I felt my heart beat faster than ever. The girl in front of me had messy shoulder length, rainbow hair with a slightly tan complexion. Her ruby colored eyes stared into mine for a split second, and my cheeks automatically went hot. Oh my gosh...

I took her hand and she effortlessly picked me up. I stumbled forward a bit accidentally, and our faces were only inches apart. No, no, no, no! I hate my clumsiness! By now it was the girl's turn to blush furiously. We both remained like that, gazing into each others' eyes for a few seconds before we both backed away from each other.

Finally, I was able to have a good look at her appearance. She wore a blue tank top, with black yoga pants and red with white Nike Dunks. She was sporting a rainbow colored wrist band and had a tattoo on her left forearm of a white cloud with a red, blue, and yellow colored lightning strike coming out of it.

"Fluttershy?" I snapped out of my thoughts, and spun around quickly to see that Twilight was eyeing me and the colorful girl with concern. She looked over at the girl, and simply smirked at her. When I returned my gaze to the rainbow beauty, I saw that her face was as red as a lobster. She cleared her throat, flashed a smile at me, and began to jog down the staircase.

"Fluttershy!"

"Wha -?"

"Are you okay? You kinda spaced out on us," Twilight questioned me. I only nodded, and she took me by the arm gently, and led me to a white table that was at the end of the platform we had been standing on. Pinkie Pie had already beat us to the table, but nicely saved two seats for Twilight and I.

"... And that's the new girl!" Pinkie Pie practically shouted it, and a few other students walking by shot stares at our direction, causing me to blush profusely in embarrassment. I removed my messenger bag and  sat down on the metal chair. Finally, I was able to find myself staring at Twilight's group.

Sitting beside Pinkie Pie was a pale girl with beautifully wavy purple hair that ran past her chest. She had on a white blouse with a black ruffled skirt and some black heels. The girl wore a charm bracelet, and a necklace that had a heart shaped gemstone on it as the pendant. Our eyes met, and I finally noticed her deep sapphire eyes and nicely done make up.

"Well hello there. You must be the new girl that Pinkie Pie here was talking about," she said with a British accent. "My name is Rarity, and you must be Fluttershy. Correct?"

"Y-Yes. N-Nice to meet you, Rarity," I stuttered out, and she only giggled into her hand. Oh gosh, she must think I'm a total loser!

"Hey, Fluttershy! Name's Spike, I'm Rare's boyfriend, and Twilight's step-brother," Spike had neon green hair that was styled into a small messy mohawk, and he wore a white t-shirt underneath the purple flannel he wore. In addition, he had on green jeans with purple Vans. Spike held his arm around Rarity's shoulder protectively, and I had to admit, the couple looked extremely cute together.

"Howdy! I'm Applejack, nice to meet ya, Fluttershy," another girl said with a country accent. The dirty blonde reached out her hand toward me and I gladly shook it. Her hair was messy, and wavy and reached down to her waist. She wore a brown Stetson with a plain white V-neck shirt with a brown leather jacket. She had blue skinny jeans with brown cowboy boots.

Next to Applejack, I noticed that there was an empty seat. Rarity must have sensed that I was wondering who that chair was reserved for, and spoke up, "That spare seat belongs to one of our other friends, Rainbow Dash. She ran off somewhere."

"Yeah, Dash hardly ever leaves the group. Something must be up with that girl for her to suddenly get up and leave the way she did," Applejack stated bluntly, and took a bite out of the red apple I didn't even know she had with her.

While we were all getting along great, I couldn't help but think about that girl. Perhaps SHE was Rainbow Dash. The rest of the lunch period, my mind was spinning with endless thoughts about that one girl who I accidentally ran into. She was gorgeous. I wonder when I'll meet her again...

All right guys, how are you enjoying this new fan-fiction so far? All I can say is that I promise this won't be a homicidal, gruesome story like my other fanfic xD this is more of a shipfic kind of thing.

I was pretty excited writing this - DISCORD IS IN THIS STORY. ISN'T THAT AWESOME? I'd literally kill to have a teacher like him in my school. It'd be totally freaking rad. c:

Shoutout to my own OC for being in the story, yo! GO ECLYPTIC GREENE! Okay, okay - so the next chapter should be finished later on during the week. I really hope you're enjoying this as much as I am. Okay, peace out guys!
