~Karkat's Pov~

I've was having a great morning,in art and band.Then 3rd period came around and I had History With Strider,I can't say I wasn't excited,because I honestly was excited to meet new people.I might seem like a grumpy asshole all the time,but I just don't want to get picked on for being small and weak.

I walk into the classroom and see Strider in the back.He notices me and waves me over,I sigh and walk over "HI ASSHOLE"I say casually.He smirks"Hi Kitkat"

~Daves Pov~

When Karkat talked to me all I could do is smirk,he's so cute.Shut.Up.Dave.You're.Not.Gay."So Kitkat how has your day been?"Karkat glares at me."WHAT DID I SAY EARLIER NO NICKNAMES,ALSO ITS ACTUALLY BEEN GREAT"he says not as angry as usual."Wow,Kitkat has a nicer side??"I say putting my hand on my chest."YES,FUCKING STRIDER.I DO HAVE A "NICE" SIDE"Karkat says annoyed.

-time skip(still dave's pov)-

Aahhh yes it's finally the end of the day,I can't wait to see Karkat again.I head to my locker and get what I need,then I wait for Karkat.A few minutes later I see Karkat walking down the hallway,I wave to him and then I realize he's crying.I run over too him "Hey what's wrong??"I ask worried.Karkat doesn't answer he just looks at me and gets what he needs from his locker,he then walks away ignoring me.
~Karkat's Pov~

I decided to ignore Dave,I didn't want to tell him what happened.I feel ashamed that I was weak enough for that to happen.I quickly walk to the bus,Dave in toe.I sit down on the bus and of course Dave sits down next to me,"Yo Kitkat what happened?"he asked again,I of course ignored him again.

When it finally got to my stop I got off as fast as possible.I glance back to see Strider running behind me "F-FUCK OFF"I say trying not to cry again.Of course he doesn't give up "Kikat wait up!"he yells at me.I speed up a little,but before I realized it Dave was grabbing my wrist.I winced at the pain,Dave notices that and pulls his hand away.

~Daves Pov~

I grabbed Karkat's wrist,and when I did he winced as if I had grabbed him and hurt him.I then release his wrist from my grip,I look at him with a worried expression."Yo dude what's up??"I asked,he just looked away"please bro,tell me."He sighs"Come to my house and I'll tell you"Karkat says quietly.I'm taken back by him not yelling,but I kinda liked it.

~Karkat's Pov~

I lead Dave to my house,we don't talk the entire way there.When we get there I unlock the door and put my bag neer the door,he does the same."Do you want something to drink?"I ask Dave quietly,he looks at me and shakes his head.I then decide to take him into the living room to tell him what happened.

~Flash Back to Earlier Today~

I just got out of Math ,which is 5th period,when two guys come up too me and start picking on me.I coward away,but that just makes it worse,one of them pushes me into the lockers.Then the other kicks me,in the end I'm on the floor crying and they're walking away laughing.

~Daves Pov~

After Karkat tells me what happened I decide now would be a good time to hug him,so I do.He doesn't pull away all he does is...Hug back,which suprised me the most."Hey Kikat can I ask you a question?"I ask."Sure Dave,I don't think anything could make this day worse"he says quietly.

~Karkat's Pov~

"why did you wince like you were in pain earlier  when I grabbed your wrist?"Dave asks.I freeze and look at him,I spoke to soon,this day just got worse.I look down pulling my sleeves down more,like he could see my cuts even though I knew he couldn't."I-I cut myself"I say super quite,hoping he didn't hear.Even though I tried he still heard,"Karkat...Why?"I look away ashamed of myself for what felt like the millionth time today."Can you....show me..please"Dave says calmly,I don't do anything for a minute,I then nod slowly.I grab his hand and pull him too my bedroom.

I really enjoy writing this,like WAAAAY more then I thought I would.I also think I'm gonna update twice a week and then every so often update maybe three or four times a week.
