A screeching sound from the tree above startled the man as he leaned with his back pressed against the tree watching the snowflakes swirl and spin around him in the air and he looked up to see an owl looking down at him curiously. 

There was something familiar about this owl he thought but he couldn't quite place it. 

The owl sat there for a few minutes, then flew at him with a loud hoot of annoyance.

 "Get away! You'll gouge my eyes out!" the man exclaimed as he ducked to avoid getting scratched by the owl's sharp talons, before breathing a sigh of relief as the owl hovered above him. 

"That damned bird.." the man exclaimed with a small chuckle before the realization hit him and he held a hand out to the owl. 

"Well, hello there Silvey." Sirius Black said as he gave the owl a quick little pet before shifting into his animagus form his bones shifting and creaking his face changing form and getting longer and more narrow. 

where Sirius Black had stood only moments before in his place stood a great black dog who let out a loud howl before dashing off into the gathering snow.
