Luci lay in the hospital bed propped up against the pillows as the nurses continued to come in and out of her hospital room all the while taking her temperature.

"I'll get you some water dear." one of the nurses said kindly patting Luci's hand before leaving the room. 

Luci looked around the room before closing her eyes as she lay in bed the sound of her father's mental voice filling her mind. 

'Luciana? Luci? Baby, it's daddy, can you hear me?' it asked sounding worried causing her to smile slightly. 

'Yes daddy, I can hear you.' her mental voice replied weakly as she adjusted herself on the pillows.  

'I'm coming to see you very soon, alright? I just wanted to check in.' her father's mental voice replied sounding choked up. 

'I'd like that, is everyone okay?' she asked as she attempted to sit up in bed. 

'Yes honey, everyone is fine. your godfather is getting better every day.' her father's mental voice replied and tears fell down Luci's cheeks. 

'I miss you, dad.' she said to which a small sob came from her father's mental voice. 

'I miss you too honey, so much.' he replied  sadly. 

'I'm going to take some medicine now, but I'll talk to you a little later okay?' Luci said to which there came a small sigh from her father. 

'Alright love, get some good rest and I'll see you tonight.' his mental voice replied sounding relieved. 

'Dad?' Luci asked with a small smile as more tears fell down her face. 'Yes honey?' Regulus's voice replied sounding relieved. 

'Je taime.' Luci said causing a soft gasp on her father's end before a soft laugh was heard. 

'Je taime aussi, mon amour.' he replied with a small smile before his voice faded away as Luci opened her eyes to see the nurse standing over her with a cup of water in her hand.
