(Regulus's view)

I held my shaking daughter against my chest humming to her softly as I stroked her curls affectionately.

"Fair rose for my love, I'd pluck a red rose blowin', love's in my heart, I'm tryin' so to prove
What you heart's knowin'." I sang as I rocked her slightly in my arms resting my chin on her head as I continued to sing to her attempting to calm her.

"Do you want to tell me about it sweetheart?" I asked her only to get a head shake in response.

"Can I just tell you in the morning?" Luci asked and I nodded before kissing her forehead and bidding her goodnight as she headed back to her room. 

I waited until she'd left before sliding down with my back pressed against the wall as sobs shook my body and tears streamed down my face soaking my hair as I continued to cry my hand closing around the note from my wife. 

"I need you Rox, I would give anything just to hold you once more." I whispered burying my face into my arms still shaking from the amount of sobs my body still had yet to let out. 

 A loud thumping noise from upstairs made my head snap up as I leapt to my feet and dashed upstairs to find Dimitry on the ground rubbing his head. 

"You alright, Dim?" I asked helping him to his feet only to have him look up at me before shaking his head.

 'so dizzy.' his mental voice replied weakly as he leaned against me for support just as his knees gave out and I caught him.

 "Just hold onto me and I'll take you to your room." I said as we climbed the stairs to his room.

 "R-Reg?" he asked as he looked up at me with a weak smile on his lips. 

"Yes?" I replied holding him a little closer as we continued up the stairs together.

 "I-Is Luci home?" he asked as his green eyes sparkled slightly in the lamplight. 

"Yeah, she's home. She wants to see you." I said once we'd gotten back to his room and gotten him settled back in his bed with a cup of minty tea.  

"Let me know if you want anything else, alright?" I said before leaning down to kiss his burning forehead to which he hummed in response before closing his eyes and drifting off into a deep sleep.
