The waitress wore an apron that was white with a pocket on the top right corner. Under the apron, she wore a red and whiteish-gray plaid shirt and jeans from Old Navy. In a cheery tone, she asked, "Would you like to order?"

Tim and Ashton looked up at the waitress. "Would you like to order first Ashton?" Tim asked. "Oh, sure. I'll have a pizza with mushrooms and my friend will have..." Ashton looked over at Tim. "Oh and I'll have a pizza with pepperoni please."

"Ok, half the pizza mushrooms and the other half pepperoni...?" The waitress asked as she wrote it down on her notepad. "Yes." They both chimed in. "Ok, we'll be right with you two." The waitress said as she walked off to the kitchen.

"Tim, I seriously think we should get this job. We'd get paid and plus we'd be helping these people. Think about it. Not many people would take the night shift, even if they got paid 120 bucks a week." Ashton explained. Tim sighed and looked over to the counter where you would order or apply for a job. Tim hesitated long enough and looked back to Ashton. "Fine. But you're the one who's dragging me into this."

As soon as Tim decided, the waitress came back with their pizza, just as they ordered; the first half of the pizza was covered with mushrooms and the other half was covered with pepperoni. "Thank you." Tim smiled warmly. "Here's your tip." Tim handed the waitress a five dollar bill, two quarters, three nickels, and a penny. "You're very welcome. Please come again." The waitress smiled back at the two, gently took Tim's tip, and walked off.

"Will you ask or should I?" Tim asked as the two approached the counter to apply for the night shift. "I'll do it." Ashton walked in front of Tim and up to the counter, Tim followed behind.

"Hello. Can I help you two?" The assistant manager asked. "Yes, we'd like to apply for the night shift here." Ashton said. "Alright. Just sign out these papers and we'll be right with you two." The assistant manager said, and handed them the application papers. "Thanks." Ashton said and the two boys walked back to their table to sign out the application papers.

As soon as they did, they handed the papers back to the assistant manager. He read over the papers and looked up at the boys. "Alright, seems like you two are the right guys for the job. You start Monday, after this weekend. Congratulations. You guys have got the job." The assistant manager smiled, and put the papers into a folder. "What're your names?" The assistant manager asked. "I'm Ashton and this is my best friend Tim." Ashton pointed at his best buddy Tim. Tim waved and smiled. "Alright then." The assistant manager said, writing their names on the folder with their application papers and put the folder into the employee drawer. "Again, you start Monday after this weekend." The assistant manager said. "Thank you for your time. We won't let you down." Tim said, smiled shyly, and paid for the pizza bill. After that, the two boys walked back to Tim's house to play video games.
