Chapter One: The Underground
The fall felt like it took forever... I seriously mean it, as we were falling, the digital azure blue numbers showing the time flashed on my screen constantly. It finally reached 12:30, and my feet finally touched solid ground. That sent a shock up my nervous system, you can imagine, as I had not been standing for almost half an hour. I was still clutching Vic tightly, as I did not want him to get hurt. Then, when he assured me he was fine, I let him go. I looked behind us, there were two navy blue double doors, with squared glass at the top of them. I could see faint light through it. In front of us stretched a long, creepy hallway. The walls and floor were just covered in beige tiles. The ceiling however was covered in long black metal bars. The only other light came from, a rectangular light ontop of one of the bars, in the middle of the hallway. I kept on my night vision, just in case something happened. I turned to my Left, to face Vic.
"What now?" I asked, my metallic voice echoing throughout the corridor. Vic shrugged.
"I'm not sure, we should probably search for Max and Zane though, right?" Vic asked.
"Definitely." I agreed. We began walking, our footsteps ricocheted off the walls and ceiling. We got to the middle of the hallway, when a loud CRASH! Echoed throughout the space. Vic and I jumped, spinning around in suprise... And what we saw, sent a shiver up my spine, and made me catch my breath.
Standing ontop of the now fallen doors behind us, was a mechanical alligator the size of bear. It's metallic hot pink scales on its tail were very shiny. The scales on its body and feet were glimmering dark purple, and the ones on its head were shimmering gold. It's teeth were also gold, but it's eyes were pure silver. It let out a mighty loud roar, causing a ringing in my ears.
"RUUUUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN!" I bellowed, as I grabbed Vic's Left hand, spun him and myself around, and turned his Left hand into his Right. I could hear the alligator right on our arses. Its footsteps were even louder than ours. We came to a path that split in two, a crossroads. One path went Left, one went Right. We halted. I frantically tried making a decision on where to go.
"IT'S RIGHT BEHIND US!" Vic screamed, as I thought. I decided to go Left, as I could see it did not bend Left again, unlike Right, and instead just went straight forward. Gripping Vic's hand tightly, we ran Left, the alligator did the same... Because, of course it did... Just our luck. We kept running straight forward for about five minutes, until we came to another decision. This time there were three paths. The Left one took another Left. The middle one took a Right, and the Right one took a Left. I decided to go with the middle, since it was the only one that didn't follow the same pattern, unlike the other options. Me and Vic sprinted into the middle, then we veered Right. We came to two double matt black doors. I kicked them right off their hinges, and we sprinted straight through them, and then we took a Left after we met a dead end. We ran straight down, almost falling. Then we ran straight up, almost falling again, and we met another dead end. Fortunately, I spotted a silver vent, just big enough for us. I pried off the opening throwing it at the dead end wall. I then pushed Vic inside it, as he got onto all fours. I then crawled in myself.
I looked behind us to spot the alligator, poking it's head through the opening, snapping its mouth and growling.
"GO! GO! GO!" I pushed Vic's back. He turned Right, and we crawled up a steep silver slope. Then, there was the tiniest drop ever and at the end of it was another silver vent cover. I dropped down, and barely managed to stand up. I then kicked the cover and fell down into another hallway, identical to the first one we fell into, but I could tell it was not actually the same one. Vic dropped down at my Left, unscathed just like me. Then, we turned around at just the right time, to see tons of bricks fly right over our heads, as the alligator broke right through the dead end, using his head as a battering-ram. He snarled, before charging right at us. I grabbed Vic's waist and hyper jumped right out of the way of its attack. Mid-jump, I turned my head around and noticed a navy blue keycard inserted in the middle of the alligator's back by zooming in on it. I landed and put Vic back down.
The alligator had ran straight into the navy blue double doors, causing a wide crack to appear on its head. It turned around and let out another mighty roar, before charging again. I gathered up all my courage and strength, and used my Right fist to knock some of its teeth out, and send it flying back first, into the doors again, it landed back on its feet though angrier than ever. After kicking it in the belly, stomping on its head, and prying its Right eyeball out, it finally flew into the doors for the last time head first, and landed on its back, completely destroyed. I walked up to it, and using both hands, flipped it over onto its belly. I then grabbed the keycard from out of its back, sending a few electrical sparks flying.
There was a black keycard slot to the middle Right of the doors, with the slot lit up navy blue. I slid the keycard into the slot, and then back out again, and the slot lit up lime green. The doors opened outwards...
