Inside Raina could hear the apologetic voice of Udayan. She finally opened the door and motioned him to come inside. She sat on the edge of the bed with her head hung low. Udayan sat on the ground near her knees and looked up at her face. She had tears in her eyes. This made Udayan feel more guilty.

Udayan: Raina, I am sorry. I wanted to gift you something special but I never realized that this could happen. I don't know why I behaved so childishly. Please forgive me Raina.

Raina: Udayan, never hurt yourself to make anyone feel special. It's alright. Maybe I over reacted.

Udayan: No you didn't. You were right. I am sorry for ruining your birthday.

Raina: Who said that it's ruined. Let's go. Vo bechare pareshaan ho rahe honge.

Udayan: Ok.

Raina: But please bring me that page.

Udayan: Why?

Raina: It's your blood on it Udayan. I just can't let it thrown away.

Both came outside and Raina picked up the paper. Everybody was silent.

Raina: Guys, am I having a silent birthday?

With this statement everybody came to action. Cake was cut and then a round of truth and dare started. Bottle was spun, at first it landed on Rishan and Udayan.

Rishan: So Uday, truth or dare?

Udayan: Truth.

Rishan: So if you were to date any girl here who would that be?

Udayan: Well.... If I will go with any of you guys' girlfriends you all will kill me so I guess it will be Raina.

Raina smiled at this.

Samar: How I wish to ask Raina a question.

As if listening to his wish the bottle stopped at Raina. Samar gave a chuckle.

Samar: Now you are trapped! Raina darling, truth or dare?

Raina: Truth.

Samar: Ok so Raina, if you get to flirt with either me or Udayan in a bar, who would it be? And why?

Raina: It will be you Samar.

Udayan's face dropped and Samar performed a victory dance.

Samar: Why?

Raina: Two reasons. One is that Udayan is serious type guy. If one wants a serious relationship she should meet him. And second it's easier to flirt with an alcoholic like you than a sober guy like him.

Now there was a role reversal between Udayan and Samar who was sitting with a dropped face while Udayan did a victory dance.

Rishan: Should Samar take this alcoholic comment as compliment?

Raina: Well, it's upon him. I didn't mean it that way.

Samar: Ok. Enough on me now. I will tell you something. Once in college me and Ud went to a bar. There a girl flirted with him and he taking it seriously paid for her drinks and gave her his number. Do I need to tell that she never called him?

Udayan looked embarrassed.

Samira: So Samar, why didn't you warn him?

Samar: No, I wanted him to learn from experiences.

At this Raina quickly said, ' Well, knowing you Samar I would rephrase it that you were busy flirting with some other girl and so you didn't notice Udayan. Am I right or am I right? '

This brought a glow on Udayan's face. He looked at Raina and she smiled assuringly.

Samar: Oh God, why is this girl so quick?

This made everybody laugh including Samar.

After some rounds the bottle finally stopped on Raina and Udayan.

Udayan: Truth or Dare?

Raina: Truth.

Udayan: So Raina, if you fall in love with someone here but you have to leave then what will you do?

Raina: If it is one-sided then there is no point in staying and if that guy loves me back then he would never stop me from going.

This answer made Udayan feel calm. But why? He didn't knew.

Before the next round started, Raina got a call from Cole. (look into characters meet if you don't remember him.) She went out to attend it.

While she was away, Samar took Udayan to a side.

Samar: Ud, do you like Raina?

Udayan: No, why?

Samar: Bro, there is nothing you can hide from me. It's so obvious.

Udayan: Ok, yeah I do. She is good.

Samar: When are you going to propose her?

Udayan: Are you mad? She is my friend. Moreover she will go to Harvard soon.

Samar: Then you need to do it very soon. Abe soch, use koi angrez le jaega to chalega tujhe? Abhi Cole ka phone aaya hai, kal Diamond ka aaega, parso Platinum ka. Phir kisi din tere ghar par ek wedding card aaega, 'Raina weds Emerald'. Phir kya is topic par short film bnaega tu?

Udayan: Bhai, you are right. But it will be too soon.

Samar: Make her fall for you. Show her your masculinity. Show her your rough and tough side. You know girls like that alot.

Udayan: I will try.

All night Udayan thought on how he can impress Raina. All that Samar said suddenly started making sense to him. He was hell bent to show Raina that he loved her.
