My mouth drops wide open, and my mother laughs and says

" Yes, we have always known, but since neither of you wanted to admit it, we left it alone. Why do you think your Godmother was so hysterical when she came to the house that day? She was crying because she knew your heart was going to break and that your Godfather was probably going to kill her son because of it.

We talked in front of you so that you would speak to Sincere and try and figure out what happened, but things got out of hand."

My Dad said that he had a bad feeling when he heard all the commotion outside that day. When Chance ran to the house saying I got stabbed, he was scared to death.

"Mami, you were not yourself. I had never seen you look like that, and that girl was laying in the street blood was everywhere on you, on the girl on the street...and Sincere was paralyzed he couldn't move. The crowd was getting more worked up, and I could hear the sirens of the police cars.

My mother smiled at Temor " The day you brought Temor home to meet us, I watched him. He never took his eyes off of you. I have only seen one other person love you as deeply. It may be wrong, but that is how I always judged the boys that pursued you. If they didn't love you and treat you on the level that Sincere did, they were never truly worthy of you. I see that level of love when Temor looks at you.

Temor nodded his head, "I know that there is and will always be love between Sincere and Minah. We have talked about it, and I am confident in our relationship. I am secure enough not to feel intimidated by their history or their relationship." Temor said

My Dad chimed in, " When Temor came to ask for my permission to marry you, I knew. Still, most importantly, he came to us and took responsibility for the incident at the club and stated clearly he needed his woman back."

I looked at Temor and said, "Wow," repeating what I said, Tyler said, "Wow," and we all laughed,

"Do you think I would give my blessing to just anybody to marry my only child? Not everyone is worthy of my only baby," Dad says, dead serious.

Then my mother says..." Now let's plan this wedding. I need some more grandbabies."
