I remember the day so clearly. My homegirls and I were on the train. As usual, the train was crowded. I felt like someone was staring at me, I happened to look up, and I saw My boyfriend and a girl. They saw me too. I thought he would come and explain, but instead, he looked away.

When they got off the train, the girl was smiling in my face, and he acted like he had no idea who I was.

I was with my girls and didn't want to start anything. Back then, my friends and I were natural rah-rah types, ready to fight for each other, and I didn't feel like getting into it on the train, so I kept my mouth closed. They all knew what had happened, but they left it alone since I didn't say anything.

That night he called, but I didn't want to talk. Then when him and his family would come over, I would stay in my room, so I didn't have to see him or speak to him.

Ear hustling, I found out that the girl got rid of the baby, and he wasn't dealing with her. Around that time, he was really pressed to talk to me. One day when my parent was at his house, he came to my house.

He said he wanted to talk to me, just give him a chance to explain. He loved me...all the bullshit dudes say... I told myself if he just tells me the truth, I'll forgive him so we can get back to normal.

Again I asked him the same questions, and he looked me in the face and said no to each question again. I knew he was lying for sure. Honest people maintain eye contact. but he couldn't look into my eyes."

I pause for a minute to grab more beer and decide to bring a six-pack back with me. I pop the cap and keep talking.

" After that, I avoided seeing or talking to him. He got his brother to speak to me, but the crazy thing is his brother didn't stick up for him. He was mad too.

A few weeks after we talked, I went to a block party with my girls. There were probably 7 or 8 of us. Everything was good, and then out of nowhere, three girls were stepping to me screaming. I broke up their friend's relationship and made her lose her baby. My girls came over, and words were exchanged. They told me to watch my back, then the girls stepped off, and we moved on.
