Chapter 32~Second Chances
Temor POV
I dropped Love off at the hotel. I swear part of me wanted to wait outside until 9pm.
I would see Love out the past few months, and she acted like I didn't exist. I never got the opportunity to put my plan into effect because she ensured I couldn't get to her. I felt like we were boxing. Every move I made shorty blocked it and then hit back harder.
I remember seeing her out at the club, and I wanted to talk to her, so I had the bartender ask Love and her crew what they were drinking. I see the bartender talking to her, and then she is writing something on a napkin. I got excited, thinking maybe she was sending me her new phone number because yes, she changed that shit too. I tried calling her the day after she cussed me out only to hear the number had been changed, and now I am grinning, thinking I am finally making some progress.
The bartender passes me the napkin, and what I thought was the change from me paying for my last round of drinks. He smirks as he walks away. I look down, and I read.
Thanks, But great Hoes don't drink on the job.
The Sack Chasin Crew.
P.S and we always pay what we owe.
After reading that, I see the two dollars under the napkin...
Well damn.
That shit wasn't funny then, but I'm laughing now thinking about it. I would see Love and Camila at all the clubs, at the park shit I even saw her at IHOP at 5 am with some guy, and I could tell she was wearing his shirt. For the first time, I was out of ideas on how to get a girl to deal with me. I tried everything that generally worked. I was confused. I was disappointed, but mainly I was sorry I had fucked up.
I get home and pack a bag and then head out to make a few stops before picking Love up. I am on edge because I know that there are more conversations and more questions to be had, and Love is expecting my complete honesty. If this was last year, I would be able to tell her the same shit I said to every other girl I got with, but it's not last year, and I promised her I would do whatever it takes.
When I get to the Hotel, Camila and Love are sitting in the lobby, and Camila is looking at me like she would rather cut her tongue out than speak to me. With a hateful tone, she says, "Well, look what hell sent back" I smile and say, "Hi Camila," and then look at Love. I ask her if she is ready.
How is it possible for this girl to look so innocent but so seductive? The dress she is wearing accentuates her luscious thighs that I hope to have wrapped around me tonight?
Love gets up and kisses Camila," I will be back before our flight leaves on Monday, I promise." My heart skips a beat, but I act like I didn't hear it and take Love's hand as we walk outside to my car.
A part of me hopes she isn't leaving with Camila for good, but that is her girl and I haven't given her a reason to stay with me...yet.
