Next thing she knew, Aurora found herself stuck in a white van with the twins, Kirby and Ethan as they waited to put Detective Bailey's plan into motion.

"So we're really doing the phone tracking thing that never works in the movies?" Mindy sarcastically questions, causing Chad to let out a chuckle. "It'll be all, 'keep him talking Sam, 2 more minutes. I've almost got him.' And then he hangs up just before we can get a lock."

"I can trace a call in under 15 seconds." Kirby said, shocking the Meeks-Martin girl.

"Nice. But how come you've got them out in the open like some kind of bait?" Aurora questioned between the Landry and Meeks-Martin boys.

"Because the killer usually calls from somewhere nearby." Kirby explained.

"And you think it's safe because it's broad daylight and a public place?" Mindy questioned.

"Look, I am here, okay and so is Bailey."

"This is exactly how our Uncle Randy died. Broad daylight, public place. Yanked into a van. Stab, Stab, Stab! No more Randy!" Mindy spoke, causing everyone to go quiet.

The sound of Ethan holding out his cheeto bag to Chad and Rory was the only sound heard.

"Aunt Sidney told me about that Ghostface." Aurora spoke up, causing them to look over at the girl. "She also told me how your Uncle Randy and my Aunt Sabrina were in love."

"Huh." Kirby said, looking back down at her computer as she spoke to Sam.

Chad reached over, intertwining his fingers with Rory's, causing the girl to send him a smile of appreciation.

"You're gonna die y'know."

"No you're gonna die, Samantha. Choking on your own blood while I hack up your sister and her friend."

"Unless we find you first."

"For a mastermind, you're not very bright, waiting for me to call, desperately hoping I'm nearby so the police can grab me? But I'm not nearby. I'm a step ahead. Be seeing you Samantha."

The group listened in as Sam spoke to Ghost before the call was quickly cut short as the killer hung up.

"Did you get it?" Sam's voice rang through the van.

"Yup, Geolocation coming through right now." Kirby said, causing her face to grow with confusion. "He's on the upper West Side. He's inside an apartment building halfway across the city."

"It wouldn't happen to be on West 96th would it?" Aurora questioned, causing Kirby's head to quickly snap toward the King girl.

"How did you know that?"

"Gale." Was all Rory had to say before everyone quickly jumped into motion.

By the time the group made it to West 96th it was too late.

Gale Weathers had been attacked by Ghostface and was in very critical condition.

The Core Five sat side by side with Ethan standing beside them in the lobby of Gale's apartment building as cops swarmed it as it was now the newest official crime scene.

"Hey." Danny said, rushing toward the group out of breath. "I got here as fast as I could."

"Did you?" Tara questioned.

"I'm scared, you guys." Mindy admitted. "I really don't want to get hurt again."

"Neither do I." Chad said.
"I don't want you getting hurt again either." Mindy said, causing her brother to look over at her.

"I know, I know." Chad said, placing his head on the girl's shoulders while wrapping his arm around Rory, pulling her into his side, causing her to lay her head on his chest, while Tara placed her head on Mindy's shoulder.

"So what are we gonna do now?" Aurora questioned, glancing over at Sam.

"Maybe he gets to win this time." Sam said, causing the four to lift their heads, looking at the older Carpenter sister in disbelief as she stood up. "He wants to punish me. Me. So maybe I let him. I'll just give myself up. If this is what I have to do to keep you safe it's worth it."

"No, forget it, we're not doing that. Besides, he wants to punish us, Sam. Me and you." Aurora said, standing up, coming face to face with the girl, pointing between them. "So whatever decision you make is going to affect me because I'm not leaving your side until this chucklefuck is dead."

"You went back to Woodsboro to protect me. Every single day, you've made the decision to protect me and none of us would be alive if it weren't for you." Tara said, standing up beside Rory. "You have to let us protect you this time. "

"No." Sam said barely above a whisper, quickly shaking her head in disagreement.

"Yes. We're a team, remember?" Tara reminded her sister.

"Actually..." Mindy said, standing up behind the duo. "We're a family."
"Let's go!" Chad happily said, clapping his hands as he stood up from his seat, putting his hand out with his twin sister. "Core Five! Come on."

"Core Five." Aurora agreed with a smile, placing her hand over the boy's larger one.

"Core what?" Danny questioned, placing his hand in before Chad quickly moved it away.

"It's an us thing." Chad said, quickly dismissing the man, causing him to let out an awkward chuckle.

"He's gonna keep coming after us." Sam said, looking around at the group, ending at Tara.

"Isn't there like somewhere safe we can hold up in?" Ethan asked.

"He's just gonna keep finding us." Tara explained.

"Great." Ethan muttered.

"But maybe we can use that though." Aurora said, causing the group to look over at her. "Hunt the hunter before we can be hunted."

"We can trap." Tara said, causing the King girl to nod as Tara pulled out her phone dialing Detective Bailey's number to fill him in on the plan.

"I'm getting my ass chewed out for not dropping the case and now you want me to do what?"

"We want to lure him to a secure location and trap him inside." Tara explained.

"And then what?"

That caused Tara and Aurora to share a look before they looked over to Sam.

"We execute him." Aurora spoke. "So are you in?"

"Let's kill this son of a bitch. Now I'm stuck here but Gale gave us the keycards to the theater. It's got heavy surveillance security cameras but we can use that against him. I'll tell Kirby to meet you there and I'll join you as soon as I can. "

"Got it." Tara said.

"And remember, travel in public. The more people around you, the less chance he has to take a shot at you before you get there."

"Copy that."

The group decided to take the subway, since it was one of the busy ways of transportation in New York.

"Is this even a good plan?" Ethan questioned as the group quickly made their way down the stairs to the subway cars.

"You don't have to come if you don't want to." Tara quickly said, leading the group.

"So we just peel off and the killer picks us off one by one?" Ethan questioned, quickly following the group down the stairs. "No, thank you."

"Let's just get to the theater. Come on in here." Sam said, leading the group towards the open subway car.

"Ah, yes because it'll be much less scarier at the serial killer movie theater." Chad said, causing the King girl to let out a snort

"Come on." Aurora said, gripping onto the Meeks-Martin boy's hand as she kept close to his tall figure.

"Rory!" The King girl quickly turned at the sound of her name, spotting Mindy being pushed backwards by the sea of people along with Ethan.

"Shit, Mindy!" Aurora called, causing Chad to finally turn around, noticing his sister wasn't on the subway as the doors began to close.

"Hey, Mindy, Mindy, Mindy! Let's go, oh shit!" Chad called, turning and holding his hand out for the girl but it was to late as the door, quickly closed on him, separating the pair on either side of the door.

"Shit." Aurora said as the car began moving, leaving Mindy Meeks-Martin alone with one of the suspected Ghostface killers.

Those who made it on the train, finally made their way back to each other as the others quickly noticed a member of the core missing.

"Where's Mindy?" Sam questioned, looking around for the curly haired girl.

"She missed the train." Chad said, looking down. "I was gonna wait for her but, Cute Boy here dragged me on."

"I was trying to keep us together." Danny explained.

"By pulling us apart?" Tara quickly questioned.

"It's okay. It's fine, she's with Ethan. She'll meet us there." Chad explained, looking down at his phone, Rory only assumed it to be a text from Mindy herself.

"Holy shit." Aurora muttered, freezing in her spot, causing the group to quickly follow her gaze only to find the car full of people in serial killer mask; including a few of ghostface. "You've got to be fucking kidding."

"How many stops do we have?" Tara asked, causing Sam to quickly peer over at the map.

"Ten." Sam said as the lights continued to flicker on and off.

Aurora could feel the grip around her waist get tighter every time the lights would flicker.

"This is 79th Street."

The doors of the car quickly opened as people began leaving and coming in but the thing that stuck out to Aurora was the person in the Ghostface costume that felt was staring straight into her soul until he suddenly disappeared into the crowd.

"This is a South Ferry bound local one train. The next stop is 72nd street."

"Still nothing from Mindy." Chad said, sounding beyond worried about his sister.

At the next stop Rory once again saw the Ghostface but she realized she wasn't the only one because Sam saw him too.

"Guys." Sam said, watching the figure as it came rushing pass the people and right as they got to the group they sharply turned right, getting off the subway, causing Sam and Rory to let let out a sharp exhale as the doors quickly closed behind them.

"The next stop is 66th street."
