There could be a million things Aurora King could be doing that night. Like hanging out with her best friend Tara and watching scary movies or kicking her best friend Wes' ass in Mario Kart for the 100th time but decided to spend it by staying at home but who said she was alone.

The sound of a phone ringing filled the bedroom that belonged to Aurora King, causing her to reach for it.

"Hello." Aurora spoke into her phone after the third ring.

"Hey Ro, you still coming over tonight?" Aurora's best friend Tara Carpenter's voice rang through the phone. "Amber's on her way now."

"Sorry T, I can't make it tonight. Something came up." Aurora said, biting her lip as she watched the boy hovering over her, letting out a small hum as he kissed her neck. "Maybe we can reschedule for another time. Maybe tomorrow night."

"Yeah, that's fine." Tara spoke as the sound of rustling was heard from her end.

"Everything okay?" Aurora asked.

"Yeah, someone's trying to call on the other line. I'll catch you at school tomorrow." Tara said.

"Okay. Love you T." Aurora spoke.

"Love you too." Tara spoke before all the King girl heard was the dial tone.

This caused her to end the call before leaning over to place her phone on the nightstand.

As she laid her head back down she immediately felt the boy's lips connect to hers, causing her to hum.

"Mmm, you're so beautiful." The boy said, pulling apart from the girl as he stared into her eyes.

"You're not too bad yourself." Aurora said, smirking up at the boy, causing the boy to chuckle.

The sound of the boy's phone buzzing caught the duo's attention, causing him to roll over on the bed, causing the girl to chuckle.

"It's Liv." Chad spoke, causing the girl to roll her eyes. "I gotta go."

"Of course, don't want to leave your girlfriend waiting." Aurora said, sitting up on her bed.

"Come on Rory, don't be like that." Chad said, taking a seat beside the girl, causing her to look over at him.

"Don't be like what, Chad." Aurora said. "You told me you were going to break up with her."

"And I will, I promise." Chad said, tucking a piece of hair behind her ear. "I just need some time, okay. Just a little bit more time and it'll be just me and you, okay?"

"Okay." Aurora said above a whisper, nodding her head, looking up locking eyes with the Meeks-Martin boy, sending him a small smile.

"I'll see you tomorrow okay." Chad said, pressing his head against the girl's, causing the girl to silently nod, causing him to place a sweet kiss on the girl's head before standing up from the bed. "Bye."

"Bye." Aurora said above a whisper as she sent a small wave before the boy left the room, causing her to let out a sigh before falling backwards onto her bed.

Quickly sitting up at the sound of her phone ringing, causing her to grab it, seeing the caller ID as Tara's House.

"Hey Tara, did Amber make it?" Aurora questioned.

"This isn't Tara." The voice spoke, causing the girl's skin to grow goosebumps.

"Who is this?" Aurora questioned, standing up from her bed, making her way to her window as she peered towards the Carpenters house.

"I think the real question you should be asking is where's Tara?" The voice spoke, causing the girl to freeze in her tracks as the girl's familiar scream filled her ears.

"What the fuck did you do to her?" Aurora demanded.

"The same thing I'm going to do to you Aurora. I'm going to gut you like a fish."

Aurora quickly hung up her phone as tears fell down her face as blue and red lights covered her face.

"Shit, Tara!" Aurora exclaimed, quickly racing out of her room and out of her house, across the street toward the familiar house.

"Tara!" Aurora exclaimed, rushing into the girl's house with the paramedics hot on her heels.

As soon as she stepped into the house she noticed the blood trails leading from the front door into the kitchen.

"Tara." Aurora called out softer as she made her way around the corner before her hand shot up to her mouth at the sight of her best friend. "Oh my god."

"We got a girl down!" A paramedic exclaimed, rushing into the kitchen with three others. "Young lady, I'm going to need you to step back."

Aurora didn't hear a word as her ears were filled with ringing as the voices mumbled together as her eyes never left her best friend.

"Aurora." Sheriff Hicks said, placing her hand on the girl's shoulder, snapping her out of her trance as she quickly looked up at the lady with tears streaming from her eyes. "Come on and let's give them some space to work."

As her friend's mom guided her away, Aurora couldn't help but keep her eyes glued to Tara's lifeless body until she was no longer in view.
