End of May-Early June

"But it's not fair!" The short angry bisexual ball that is Alexander Hamilton whined at his best friend, who was moving back home for the summer. "I won't be able to see you for so long!"

Laurens chuckled, rolling his eyes. "Jesus Christ, Alex, it's only for the summer. I'm coming back to New York at the end of summer."

"Yeah, but you're going to college!" The boy pouted, crossing his arms like a fussy child. "And Peggy too! I'm gonna be stuck with Buzzkill Burr for a whole year."

Laurens rolled his eyes. "Stop being dramatic, Alex."

Alexander put his hand on his chest, feigning offense. "How....how DARE you, Johnathan Laurens, call ME dramatic!? Tha-Thats just....that's not like me at ALL!"

The two boys laughed at Alexander's sarcastic-ness, enjoying the cool afternoon they shared before John had to leave for South Carolina.

"Alexander, promise me something, will you?" John asked suddenly, earning the boys interest.

"Promise me that you'll wait for me."

The boy nodded, smiling. "I will."

So the two sat, under the tree behind the school, enjoying the perfect afternoon.

Plus, there's a couple of references in here, and I'm sure if you're a DEH or Hadestown fan, then I'm sure you'd be able to pick them up. ;)

(Btw, I saw a girl hold the playbill for DEH at school today, so yeah, that's something, I guess)

There will be more Lams, but it's mostly small things like this until the New Years chapter (which, there WILL be a New Years and Christmas chapter), where there's gonna be a LOT of ships, so yeah.
