Chapter 1
*I like to acknowledge my best friend Ashely/ Littleblackstar0018 for helping me create this wonderful story.* <3
I live deep in the jungles of the Amazon Rein Forest. In a little very secluded area where it was almost impossible for outsiders to reach us. I lived in a tribe of Amazon warrior women. There are men in tribe but they weren't nearly as strong as the women. We're the ones that fight and forge for food. The women from my tribe are taller and stronger then normal women. We made all our huts from plants around us. We hand made all our weapons by hand. We also wear cloth made from animal skin to cover our chests and our lower regions. But it leaves our bodies pretty exposed. We even make our own armor by hand. We only wear it during times of war.
My mother is the queen of my tribe so that makes me an Amazon princess. But I'm also born from a long bloodline of bangle tiger shape shifters. Sadly I was the only one in my family born with the gift. So that makes me the last tiger sense my grandmother. You could only tell I was a shape shifter because of of my hair and eyes. My eyes were gold like a tigers. My hair was really long with mainly orange with black and blond streaks through it. Every shape shifter has a familiar that takes on the same shape their master does which in this case is a bangle tiger. My familiars name is Kayto. He is a tall well built male. He's very strong and compassionate. When a heir hits a certain age we are forced to go on long journey so that we can become the new leader. We are only allowed a few friends to bring along. Sense I was the only heir that means it's my turn. So I picked two of my closest friends (Silea and Harmonia.) They were both really strong and reliable. I grew up with them so there were no secrets between us. We knew everything about each other. So I knew I could trust them to have my back no matter what. Only the strongest could survive this journey. Every clan leader from my clan has went through it. My goal is to get through it without losing any of my friends. We gathered only the necessities (weapons, food, clothes, and a book.) This book is like a survival guide each generation add something new to it. It tell the story of how each generation got throw the journey and the different creatures they faced. My mother told me the journey would be long and difficult but that she had faith in me.
Then we all met up with the rest of my clan who was waiting for us. I walked up to my mother who was waiting up front. She smiled I knelt down in front of her and closed my eyes. While she gave me her blessing for good luck. Then she pulled me up and put her head to mine to show me support. She hugged me tightly I hugged her back. We said, our goodbyes to the rest of the clan and left. For miles we didn't hear or see anything. We marched through the woods while Silea read the book she was the brains and Harmonia was the muscle.
"So what do you think we're going to encounter on this journey?" I asked them. Kayto walked up beside me. He was lugging all the supplies.
"I think we'll run into just about everything and anything." He said, grabbing my head. I smiled and laid my head on his shoulder.
"Get a room." Harmonia yelled, laughing. Kayto's always been sweet on me. Sense I'm the last of my kind my clan actually encourages it sense he's my familiar which means if we had offspring they would be shifters. I lifted my head. When I heard something. I pulled out my dagger and pounced. I stabbed it with my dagger but it turned out to be a harmless Broket deer. A type of deer that lives in the Amazon. I lifted it up.
"Hey I got dinner." I said, they laughed. I gutted it and through it over my shoulder. We walked till we came a crossed a small clan. We didn't know which tribe they were so we stayed hidden. They were all gathered around a fire. When a man in really weird clothes walked over to the fire. My mother told me a little about them. He was a American they come to the Amazon's to learn about the tribes of course none have ever came to my tribe. I watched carefully when I noticed he had a dog with him. It turned to our direction and started barking. The man got up. When a younger man about our age walked out. He walked over. The others hid I ducked and hid under the bush. Ya not my brightest idea. When he walked over and started looking around. When he noticed the deer. He walked over to picked it up. The light off his lantern hit me. He looked over and jumped when he seen me. I didn't know what to do so I just smiled and waved. He just laughed.
"You scared the shit out of me." He laughed. I knew how to speak English.
"Sorry." I said, getting up. He just looked up at me in disbelief.
"What you act like you never seen an Amazon woman before?" I said, calling them out. He looked at us up and down.
"Well that's because I haven't. No one has. I knew that Amazon women are said to be tall but I wasn't expecting you to be this tall. Damn you make me feel like a midget and I'm average height." He replied. Harmonia laughed, picking up the deer. The other clan members started looking around when they noticed us. Kayto cleared out a spot for us to set up camp.
"By the way not to be nosey but why are your eyes gold? I've never seen anything like it." He asked.
"That's a family secret." I said, yawning as Kayto set up the tent and set up a fire.
"You don't mind if I stay over here do you?" He asked.
"No go ahead." I said, cutting up the deer with my dagger.
"You know we might need a little more sense he's here." Silea said, I nodded and took off leaving her to finish cutting up the meat. I had no lights with me because I could see in the dark. I ran till I found another deer. I took it down with my dagger and gutted it. Then I dragged it back to camp when I seen the others socializing with the other clan. I walked out when Silea hugged me.
"Tora." She yelled. Tora's my name it means tiger. I said nothing when I seen Kayto getting oddly friendly with one of the young woman. I cut the meat up when a man came over. He was tall and very well built you could tell he was one of the warriors.
"You are a hunter?" He asked, I looked up at him. He froze when he seen my eyes.
"Among other things." I said, looking away covering my face while I put the meat on.
"You shouldn't hide them you should show them with pride." He said, putting his hand over mine. I flinched pulling my hand away.
"How can I when that's the only thing anyone ever notice. All they see is my bangle tiger not me." I said, glancing over at him. I could read his exasperation. When a man came up behind me it was the older American man.
"Did someone bangle tiger. Do you know where they are?" He asked, I got up.
"No I don't." I answered and walked to my tent. I climbed in and laid down on one of the skins.
