How does one break a cycle? 

is it even possible? 

Staring at the crib that I built myself, it's clear that things have gone awry. 

Lies turned to anger, and anger turned to... 

No. My family means more than anything in the world to me yet the thought of HER suffering something that was deserved made me act accordingly.

The urge to want retreat back to the shadows and risk the only decent thing in my life?

Swiveling to stare at the callous woman, it was evident she'd changed from her leathers and into a revealing nightgown. 

"Yes. I intend to keep it." 

After a moment of silence, she made her way to me, chest thrusted out. 

"You do realize that I've cared for all my life. The frat boy. Living sex God. Now you're all mine."
