Hey everyone. I thought I could fall in love by Selena was a perfect song :)

I remained in my room until I was sure my parents had left. I didn't want to take the chance to look them in the eyes just in case Hero hadn't left.

After I heard complete silence and was sure I was alone, I approached the door, flinging it open. I frowned when I realized that Hero wasn't anywhere to be seen.

I supposed this had made sense. My father had been in his emotions and would have likely caused a scene if he still had been outside.

I still couldn't help but feel upset at this fact. Even in the short time we had known each other, Hero and I seemed to be making progress. He'd made it clear he wasn't one to apologize yet he had several times with me.

In some aspects, my father was wrong about him. He wasn't all bad, but this didn't matter. I made a promise that I wouldn't see Hero ever again. I promised that my classes were more important than him. I had to prove myself once again.

I could not risk anything.

Taking a deep breath, I sat back on my bed, crossing my arms over my chest, coming to terms with my life.

When Josephine had returned, I hadn't meant to be in a foul mood, but she had noticed. I tried telling her that it was nothing, but when I saw that she wasn't buying it, I told about everything that had unfolded while she'd been gone.
Her mouth had fallen open towards the end, nearly resting on the ground.

"How did he even know you live here?" She exclaimed.

I shrugged. "That's the thing. I don't even know. He said he heard it around campus."

Josephine, for a moment, looked like she had a lot to say, but she only offered a shake of her head.

"I suppose that Annie girl let him know."

I gasped, not even realizing Annie could have been involved. She had, after all, picked us up for the party.

"Right," I replied, fiddling around with a few papers sitting on my bed, "well, something off-topic: since I have some short classes this week, I thought it would be a good idea to look for a job."

Josephines head snapped up at this. "Why? Are you worried your dad is going to pull you out of school? I mean it is a good idea to have a back up plan."

"What? No, I-"

Was that what I was worried about? My father pulling me out and costing me my schooling? No. That wasn't it. I wanted to feel like I wasn't completely lazy. Then again, Josephine did have a point.

What my father said about getting a job, like I was some spoiled pansy, came unbidden into my mind.

"I just feel like it's the best idea right now." I finally replied.

Josephine smiled in response. "Okay. Let me check my schedule. I should try to look for a job as well."

I grinned as she looked through her own binder on her bed. After a few moments of intense silence, she turned back around, grinning.

"Well, let's go."

Thank you all for the reads.

It's been a crazy week.
