Hey everyone! Thought Wolves by Selena Gomez had a good feeling to it <3

It was Hero.
He was standing tall, with his hands in his pockets. He didn't look quite remorseful, but staring at his eyes peeking from under his lashes, he looked too attractive to turn away.
"Um... Hi?" I began.
How did he even know where I resided? I hadn't told him, had I? Had Josephine?
"I know this is weird, me showing up," Hero said, "But I came to apologize... again. Seems like I'm always doing that with you..."
"It's not like your presence isn't welcome," I answered truthfully, "but how did you even know where I live?"
Hero seemed nervous. He nearly choked as he spit out his reply. "I've heard it around campus."
I knew there was more than what he was letting on, but I ignored it.
"Look, it's not like I'm not glad to see you-" I tried to say but Hero interrupted.
"Except you're not. I was being a dick. You called me out and I hated that. No one calls me out. I wasn't used to it."
I didn't know what came over me, but I forgot about morals and manners and just spit out what I wanted to talk about.
"I don't really care about any of that right now, Hero. A bigger issue has arised. My parents have been stalking me like the psychos they are."
At first, Hero's eyes widened as if he was shocked by what I'd just said, but then his expression turned into an arrogant smile.
"I like the way my name rolls off your mouth."
I blushed, knowing that nothing escaped him.
"Didn't you hear anything I said?" I did my best to sound authoritative. "Not right now!"
Hero huffed, falling back onto Josephine's bed.
"Fine! I suppose I have to sit back while you read or some shit?" He rolled his eyes.
I sat on the edge of my own bed. "No. That's the last thing on my mind right now. My parents will be here soon- probably sooner than I expect. Knowing my dad, he'll be driving ninety all the way here."
Hero began lifting his phone to his nose but he immediately lowered it. "You want to tell me just how psycho your parents are?"
I sighed, already remembering the state I'd found the man in. "If installing a tracker on my phone wasn't enough, they sent a man, they know nothing of, to case my room."
Hero's eyes nearly bugged out of their sockets.
"I'm sorry?"
"What!" I snapped. "I'm serious! They're crazy!"
"Calm down." Hero demanded. "I believe you. I just didn't think it was possible for anyone's family to be this dysfunctional..."
"Well, they are," I went on, "that's why I tried to catch their attention by saying the man terrified me and stole half of my belongings-"
"Seriously?" Hero breathed, jumping up from the bed instantly. "What did he look like?"
"You don't need to be concerned with any of that." I replied. "I only lied to gain their attention."
"You actually lied?" Hero asked in disbelief.
"You don't know my parents." I explained. "You have to go to the extreme. Unfortunately for me, I'm more of an experiment to them. My father could have cared less if I'd been hurt."
"Believe it or not, I'm not trying to be a dick," Hero said, "but you sound like more of an inconvenience than anything..."
I pursed my lips, now feeling even more angry.
"Wow. Thank you so much for that. Makes me feel loads better."
As if my day couldn't get any worse a bang sounded on the closed door.
"KRISTINA! YOU OPEN THIS DOOR THIS INSTANT!"
What? It was my father.
Bit of an early chapter :)
