Hey everyone!!! I thought Bad Liar by Selena Gomez was perfect because of the dynamic with Kristina and her parents (:

I knew what I wanted more than anything at the moment was to dial my parents and ask them what they were thinking. Who had that man been anyway? An employee? They didn't know if he was some chaotic rapist or something. I could have died.

Not only that but they were being even more overbearing than usual.

What if my father was still looking at me on the tracker?

Powering on my phone, I flicked through my tabs wondering how a person even put a tracker on a phone. Didn't they have to go to a store and install it?

It wasn't long before I stumbled upon a GPS installation in my app folder. I clicked on the application, frowning as soon as it loaded up. I thought my parents and I were closer than this. Surely I had proved my worth after years of sacrifice and a severe regiment. Now I saw that they simply didn't respect me. It went far above trust.

My finger hovered above the uninstall button, really testing what I could do. If I followed through, my mother would go into hysterics. My father on the other hand would probably kill me. Did I really want to take that risk?

As to not to raise any suspicion, I let it be. I knew what I had to do; I had to take them off-guard. Maybe if I scared them, they would think twice about snooping on me.

I dialed my father's number, not sure whether he'd be at work. To my surprise, he answered on the second ring.

"Kristina." He said. He sounded dead inside, like always.

"I hope you're happy," I replied, sounding just as lazy.

He, however, wasn't taking the bait.

"What are you going on about, Kristina?"

I took a deep breath ready to tell the biggest lie in my life. "I already know what you did, by the way. You had some man break into my dorm and go through my things."

My father had a sharp intake of breath before he responded. "I know nothing of which you accuse me of."

"At least take responsibility!" I shouted, now realizing everything I was accusing the man of would cut him out of the deal for the money. "He didn't only go through my things to find 'condoms'. He stole most of what I had and had me fearing for my life!"

It didn't take long for my father to quit his charade. "What can I say? I didn't think he was a complete neanderthal..."

"Are you serious right now? You're not going to ask if he hurt me or not?"

I thought I was going to faint from the shock going through my system.

"Believe it or not," he went on, "It's not on my top list of priorities. I know you've been up to no good, dear. I saw you on the tracker-"

"You're unbelievable!" I screamed, making sure he could hear me. "That's really all you care about! Making me your perfect little fucking creation you can carry around-!"

"You watch your tone!" My father demanded in a harsh voice.

"You know what," I stomped my foot, feeling like I had control, "I'm going to delete that tracker!"

"Oh no, you won't!" his voice was more desperate. "It's one of the rules that you have to keep it!"

I scoffed. "I'm an adult now. I can do whatever I feel like."

"Have you forgotten I pay for everything including your housing and schooling?"

My head hurt at this realization. But what had Hero said? Yes. I'm eighteen. I could make my own choices.

"Yes, but that doesn't give you the right to stalk me."

As if I didn't think anything could get any creepier, my father said:

"If I want to stalk you I will. As a parent, it's my right."

"Not anymore."

Hearing my father screaming obscenities at me from the other end, I hung up immediately deleting the tracker. For a minute, I grinned, already feeling free. Then, as the excitement ebbed away, I suddenly felt afraid. Afraid that my parents were angry. Afraid that they were heading down to yank me out of college right now...

My father really seemed to be off his rocker. Something definitely wasn't right with him lately.

A hard knock sounded at my door, making my heart leap in my chest. With everything happening at once, I didn't expect Josephine to return so early. I frowned at the thought of being pulled out of college so early. She was a good friend and I didn't want to end the friendship now.

I plastered on a smile as I opened the door, but it dropped as I saw who stood on the other side.

I appreciate all the new reads :) thank you all for making me #10 in AWC.

It really means a lot :]
