I wasn't surprised when my Kia led me to the frat. I had annoyance surging through me and I wanted answers. Kylie had known Hero for quite some time.

She couldn't tell me she didn't know just a little bit about his past conquests.

The front lawn and house was just as energetic as ever with a  techno beat playing in the background. Everyone was sweaty, bumping and grinding as they clunked cups against each other.
I felt out of place as I stepped inside.

This time I didn't have anyone with me and the last I did this I had found out about the sex tapes.

When I made it to the familiar couch in the living room, I rolled my eyes. How was it possible for the gang to always be in the precise place I needed them.

I glared when I saw Nora. The whore.

Kylie seemed more awkward than usual, sinking in her seat. Ellie, Luke, and Annie however looked at me though hooded expressions.

"Look who made it!" Nora squeaked, jumping up from where she sat. "Where's my favorite boy?"

I wasn't shocked to see her dressed in a severely cut top and revealing booty shorts. Dear god. If Hugh Hefner had seen her at Hooters, the gold digger would have taken him on his offer.

"My fiance is asleep." I seethed. "In my bed."

Nora feel back on the couch, laying an arm around Luke. This made Ellie frown.

Annie looked up from the boy she was dry humping and groaned in disgust.

"Way to ruin the vibe. Why is that thing here?"

I placed my keys in a pocket leaning against a padded chair.

"I invited myself. I was actually hoping you guys could answer a question for me."

"What makes you think we want to help?" Annie went on, making the boy under her quite uncomfortable.

I cleared my throat.

"That's fine. I don't need to involve myself with the likes of you anyway. All I need is to see Kylie."

Ellie shielded her, shaking her head.

"No she doesn't want to talk to you-"

I was surprised when Kylie pushed her friend away.

"No, it's fine."

She quickly led the way to a secluded corner, folding her arms.

"What?" She choked out.

Oh no. She was still upset over my engagement. I hid my ringed finger behind my back.

"First off," I began, "I'm sorry. I didn't mean for you to hurt. Second... I really need to ask if you know someone from Hero's past. We can't pretend as if you two didn't have history."

Kylie hung her head in defeat.

"No.... I can't do that."

"Please," I begged, "it's just one person. They've been talking and... I need to know before I make any serious decisions."

As if understanding completely, she then nodded.

"Okay. Who is it?"

I gulped. "Rose Montgomery?"

At this, Kylie's eyes widened.

"Are you serious? Oh my god. That girl has been asking around for you all night... as a matter of fact..."

As she peered over my shoulder, I turned to see what she was looking at. Right before my eyes was Rose herself, now speaking to Luke and Nora.

She really was picture perfect... all crisp and clean like some girl from a private school.

As I made my way back to the group, Kylie followed in my wake silently. We crept up on them mid-conversation.

"It's imperative I see her," Rose said in a small, heavenly voice. "I need to straighten out a few things."

At once, all eyes shifted to me. Rose followed suit, her mouth falling open in recognition.

"You have to be Kristina Addison." She said, walking closer to me like I was some experiment. "Hero's shown me so many pictures."

What the hell did that mean?

The air felt awkward with everyone judging me and my relationship. Rose seemed so underhanded. Clearly it made Kylie uncomfortable as well because she was the one who spoke.

"Is this some kind of sick joke?"

Rose's eyes went wide.

"What-? No. I'm not trying to be rude. I'm just clearing the air."

She then turned to look at me.

"Can we speak privately?"

I took a ragged breath, instantly hurrying away. I couldn't do this right now. I thought I could, but the thought of her and my fiance possibly having a connection bit away at me.

Over in the kitchen, a frat boy with a snap-back was mixing two drinks in a mixer. He smirked at me, a bit too widely.

"You look like you could use a drink."

I shook my head.

"No... what I need is a break."

Before the boy could continue talking, Nora skipped happily into the room, cuddling up to him. Oh right. This was probably another poor soul she was seducing.

"It's nice to know you're not exempt," she taunted, pressing a kiss to the boy's cheek, "you're no different than any of us. Do me a favor and disappear."

Once she left, the frat boy stared in pity.

"Don't think too hard on what she said- here have a drink. I promise it's non- alcoholic. You need something to take the edge off."

After pondering for a minute I shrugged.

"Sure. Thanks."

I took the red solo cup, downing the juice immediately.
