Wei Wuxian woke the next morning feeling like a new person almost. He remembered the tie between him and Wangji was only temporary but now that they married and consummated, that tie was forever bound. Wei Wuxian was extremely happy about it. He couldn't help bet let tears fall as he remembered how hard it was for him to accept love as he grew up always believing that he didn't deserve it, or that he was cursed.

Lan Wangji woke with Wuxian laying curled up beside him. Wuxian's head was resting on Wangji's chest and his legs wrapped around Wangji's. As Wangji was waking, he could feel something wet on his chest. His connection to Wuxian was stronger now so he can now feel how he feels. Wuxian was happy but he was crying. Wangji gently curled and circled his fingers through Wei Wuxian's hair.

"Wei Ying?" Wangji asked, "are you hurt?"

"No," Wuxian replied, "just overwhelmed and happy."

"Did you want to talk to me?" He asked.

"In a bit, can you give me a moment to calm down?" Wuxian questioned.

"Mnn," Wangji responded. Wangji slowly turned over a bit and held Wuxian closer to him, "I am here."

"I know," Wuxian said as he took in a deep breath, "I was just thinking. I grew up thinking I was someone who didn't deserve to be loved or I was cursed and love was never to have me. Being able to accept it now makes me happy but it's a lot to take in. The bond between in now, I can really feel it, and I find it soothing. I still fear losing it."

Wangji smiled and placed a kiss on Wuxian's forehead, "you will not lose me. We are bound together by fate and we are bound together forever. I couldn't have asked for anyone better. I love you so much."

"I love you too," Wuxian said.

Wuxian and Wangji were both happy. Wangji was born in a sect that was filled with so many rules and traditions and regulations that it was hard for him to really be his own person. He was just a walking stone scripture that had so much knowledge and was also very disciplined and knew how to cultivate well. He didn't have his parents to teach him proper familial love and his uncle was the epitome of a master and wanted nothing more than to create successful cultivators.

Wei Wuxian also had it difficult. Losing his parents a lot younger than when Wangji lost his. Wuxian wandered the streets for a few years before being taken into the Jiang Sect. He was then treated like a servant but was always disciplined and abused by the leading madam. She made it her mission to make Wei Wuxian know just who he was and where he stood in the hierarchy of the world.

When Wuxian's heart broke completely through a misunderstanding, he found his biological grandmother and lived with her. He gained immortality and became a very strong cultivator. He soon found he was bound to someone by the string of fate. No matter how many times he tried to break it, it would reconnect and he'd be back in that man's arms. That man was now his husband, Wangji.

Wangji and Wuxian have learned to communicate better and even learned how their bond works. They wanted to fully understand it so they know when they would need each other most. They came to rely on each other. They even adopted a few children as they lived a long life together. They adopted two boys Lan Yuan and Lan Jingyi, and a young girl named Lan Ehuang.

They would go back and forth between Cloud Recesses and Celestial Mountain. The children loved spending time at the mountain though. They learned a lot more about cultivating there and at Cloud Recesses, they learned more about the Sects and the history of them. It was beneficial for both sides.

Wangji and Wuxian were walking along the river that cut through Celestial Mountain. The two loved having evening walks along the river as it was very soothing and it was quiet and it gave them some nice alone time. They would reminisce and talk. They would hold hands and occasionally kiss. In the end, the two were forever soulmates through the Ties that bound them.
