Even though Wei Wuxian was heir to Celestial Mountain, his and Wangji's wedding will be held at Cloud Recesses. It has been decided that the two will spend a half the year at Cloud Recesses and the second half at Celestial Mountain. At the moment, there were various sects who were invited for the special occasion that had just arrived to Cloud Recesses. Today was the day the pair would marry. There was a space set up just for Wei Wuxian to prepare. Wangji was to prepare in the Jingshi.

At the moment Wei Wuxian was doing pretty good, but he was nervous. After everything the two had been through, was a lot. Wuxian was just ready to settle everything and be able to call Wangji his. Even after getting his heart broken so long ago by Wangji through a misunderstanding, Wuxian always knew he had an interest in Wangji. He wondered if Wangji was even worth it after the heartbreak.

After the two times he broke the tie Wangji still kept trying to make up for his mistakes. Wei Wuxian gave in eventually especially after he had a special visit from his parents' spirits. After the tie was repaired, Wangji made a block so it couldn't be broken again. Once they marry the tie will no long be temporary but permanent.

With Wangji, Lan Xichen and Lan Qiren were with him. They were helping him with the final touches of his wedding robes. Xiao Xingchen and Song Lan were with Wuxian to help him prepare. Wangji's robes were beautiful red robes with golden cloud motif embroidery. The hemming of the robes were also gold. Wei Wuxian's robes were similar but instead of cloud motifs, he had a floral pattern with gold stitching. His hemming was also gold.

In the ancestral hall, the room was decorated with red and gold. Beautiful orchids and lilies were all over the room. Lilies have an idiom that means 'happy union for a hundred years'...but for Wuxian and Wangji, it will be for eternity. As for the orchids, represent the happy couple, love, wealth and fortune.

Normally the bride and bridegroom will walk around the tables greeting guests and taking shots of baijiu, traditional Chinese rice-wine, with the guests. At many weddings, however, he will sometimes sneakily switch to water after a few shots as baijiu is very strong. The men attending the wedding will have to take a drink with the groom. However, the Lan Sect does not allow alcohol and Wuxian and Wangji do not drink it. They exchanged the rice wine with very high quality tea.

To be honest, Wei Wuxian wasn't nervous about the ceremony or the banquet or even entering guests. He was actually a bit nervous about that night as it would be him and Wangji finally consummating. Wangji had long sense prepared for it and made sure he had everything he needed to ensure that Wei Wuxian was comfortable.

At the banquet, the only Jiang's that were there were Jiang Yanli and a couple of the Jiang Sect Elders as they helped defend Wei Wuxian during his trail. Wuxian was a bit hesitant about having certain sects there though, such as the Jin Sect, as they have already given the Lan Sect and Wei Wuxian some issues in the past. Thankfully Jin Guangyao and Su She were dead so no one had to deal with them.

Wuxian said that Xihe was Lan Xichen's attending guest to the wedding. It didn't surprise him actually. Since finding out about the two, Wuxian had actually hoped the two would hit it off. So far, they seem to be doing well together.

Right now, Wuxian and Wangji were sitting at their designated table and guests were going up to them to congratulate them for their union. The night was going so well, but it all came to a halt when Xihe had told Xichen not to touch his drink. The silver spoon used to stir his tea turned color which indicated that there was poison in his tea.

"Lan Zhan, your Ge's drink?" Wuxian asked in a whisper.

Wangji looked at him and froze in horror, "You didn't drink it did you?" Wangji asked Xichen.

"No, but we need to know who wanted to kill me," Xichen said.

"Didn't Wei Wuxian and Lan Xichen have a fall out in the past?" A Yao disciple asked.

Wei Wuxian stood from his seat and looked at the Yao disciple, "I would never, and I mean NEVER harm my brother-in-law!" He told him, "maybe it is you as you are the first to make an accusation."

"I have a way to find out who," Baoshan said. She then held out an orb, "this orb will glow red to the guilty party. I ask if you poisoned the tea and if it's white you are clear if it's red, you are the culprit."

With that being said, Baoshan went around the banquet hall with the orb asking everyone to touch it. She even started with Wei Wuxian to clear his name. It turned up to be white, "see, I told you it wasn't me," Wuxian said.

"I believed you," Wangji said.

"So do I," Xichen said, "you and I may have had our differences but we resolved those long ago."

"We did," Wuxian said.

After a long time searching, Baoshan finally caught someone, "who are you?" She asked as she sealed the boy's spiritual powers.

"I am a former disciple of Su She and Jin Guangyao. Since you killed my masters, I needed to take my revenge!" The boy yelled.

"What is your name?" Baoshan asked.

The boy found it difficult to lie to her. What he didn't know was that Baoshan cast a truth spell the boy, "Jin Han."

Without any further questioning, Jin Han was taken to the dungeons for now. The banquet went on and it was as if everything had been forgotten for now. Before entering the bridal chambers, Wangji and Wuxian exchanged nuptial cups and perform their ceremonial bows.
