"A'Ying, I am going to go keep Sect Leader Jin distracted, I want you to search the place, can you do that?" Baoshan asked. I nodded, "be careful."

"Wai Po, you be careful too, you're all I have left," I told her.

"I know, I don't go down that easily," she said and disappeared.

I let out a sigh before placing an invisibility talisman on my inner robes so no one would notice me. I then searched everywhere, even Jin Zixuan's area. I saw that Jiang Yanli was here, and having tea with him. I smiled knowing that the two were together and getting to know each other. I might have thought of him as a peacock but I know he is a much better person than his father.

I then searched Koi Tower. I saw Jin Guangyao and he was talking to someone who was in Gusu Lan robes. The Lan also had on Lan Xichen's forehead ribbon. There was a difference between disciple and main blood forehead ribbons, and I know for a fact that, the ribbon on that disciple was Lan Xichen's. So Jin Guangyao did have him somewhere. I followed the two and watched them disappear into a bronze mirror.

"Portal charm," I said quietly and and entered without being noticed. I saw that the real Lan Xichen was sitting on a chair, and his hand and feet were bound. His mouth was covered to keep him from speaking. I saw Jin Guangyao remove the cloth from Xichen's mouth and the Lan Disciple stood beside him.

"Your brother is alive...for now," the Lan Disciple told him, "I'm sure you must be very worried."

"Why are you doing this?" Xichen asked, "I helped you, Jin Guangyao, and you do this to me?"

"I want to know what Wei Wuxian is all about. Having Su She disguise himself as you has indeed been nice. Too bad Wei Wuxian only showed him one trick that is to enchant the damn clouds," Jin Guangyao said.

"What is so important you get from him?" Lan Xichen asked.

"He is immortal, and is to be announced as the next Yin and Yang master. I want him to tell me how to use resentful energy. Then maybe I can let you go," Jin Guangyao said. I just shook my head as I found his ambitions to be so stupid, "but both him and Lan Wangji are very depressed right now. Wei Wuxian did break the tie between him and Lan Wangji. I heard Lan Wangji tried to kill himself because of it...you can thank Su She for tearing them apart."

I was so angry and quietly removed the invisibility talisman from my robes. I then saw a dagger on the shelf near me and I summoned it using some spiritual energy. I then Duplicated the dagger into several daggers and they were all floating in the air ready to strike both Jin Guangyao and Su She.

"You two think you are so smart, don't you?" I asked. They turned and saw the daggers right in their faces, "what's this, are you scared?"

"How did you get here?" Jin Guangyao asked.

"Did you really think that Lan Zhan and I wouldn't figure it out? The way Lan Xichen has been so bipolar towards me, I thought maybe he'd be thrilled that I'd try to make amends with his brother. When that didn't happen it did not even click until it was nearly too late for both him and me...but guess what, I am here and Lan Zhan is very much alive. He and I are still bound so I do not think you two understand anything," I said explained.

"How are you doing this?" Su She asked.

I scoffed and summoned one of Baoshan's birds, "come to fragrance hall and you will see a bronze mirror. It is charmed so you can step through it. I am there, so is Zewu Jun and the two culprits," I said and sent the bird away.

"What is that?" Jin Guangyao asked.

"A trick I learned from Baoshan," I said with a smile. I left the daggers to surround the two and moved over to Zewu Jun, "hello again Zewu Jun, it seems that we have a lot to catch up on."

"Seems so," he said as I untied his arms, "my abilities are sealed."

"I can help you," I said, "are you going to stab me though?"

He smiled, "no, I will not hurt you, you have my word," he said.

"That's good to hear, otherwise I would have to use Lan Zhan as a bargaining chip," I told him.

"No need," he said and stood up. I then unsealed his spiritual passage ways, "thank you."

"Mnn," I said and summoned my sword, even with the daggers still surrounded Jin Guangyao and Su She, "now, what made you think I would so willingly share my secrets with you?"

"I didn't expect you to be so cunning," Su She replied.

"I spent four years training under Baoshan and you have underestimated me," I told him.

"So it seems," Su She said.

Just then, I was struck by something in the left shoulder and I saw a couple pieces of glass in my shoulder. It was doused with something to suppress my abilities so before I got too weak, I let the daggers fly, striking them both until neither of them were breathing. I then let the daggers fall and nearly collapsed but Xichen caught me.

"This looks bad," he said.

I shook my head, "Baoshan will know what to do," I said, "I am sorry for ever hurting you, Zewu Jun, I hope you know that."

He helped me sit down and grabbed a cloth to apply pressure to my shoulder, "it's alright, but it seems that a lot has happened since we last spoke."

I nodded, "would you believe me if I told you that your uncle defended me against Su She who played off as you. He didn't know it at the time but he stood up for me," I told him.

"That is new," he said and laughed, "anything else I should know?"

"The tie between Lan Zhan and me, I was blindsided by Su She's scheme and I hurt him...I cut it but it mended just as quickly...I understand if it will take time for you to trust me with him, but all I ask is not to keep me away from him...I realized that I need him more than anything right now," I told him, "I would like your blessing, Zewu Jun...and I would like to sit down and tell you everything you want to know."

"I trust you, Wuxian," he said.

I saw movement behind Lan Xichen and it was Jin Guangyao. He had a dagger and was going to strike Zewu Jun with it. I quickly shoved him aside and was stabbed in the shoulder where the glass shards were. Zewu Jun took another dagger from nearby and cut Jin Guangyao with it, making sure he was dead this time.

"Stay with me, Wuxian," Zewu Jun said as he made sure the dagger was stable and did not remove it as it would only make it worse.

"Mnn," I nodded, "if this doesn't kill me, Lan Zhan will...I promises to come back to him safely."

"Well, I will make sure of that...though, unharmed, I cannot do anything about," he said.

"Zewu Jun, his glares are still terrifying," I told him.

He chuckled, "I am sure you can handle it."

"A'Ying?!" Baoshan yelled as she finally came running in was reinforcements, meaning other Jin disciples, and then Lan Qiren and Lan Wangji did end up coming.

"I am okay, just a small cut," I told her.

"I will be the judge of that," she said and took over from Xichen. She looked over my wound and said I needed immediate medical attention. Jin Guangshan was okay with me going to his infirmary.

"Xiongzhang?" I heard Lan Zhan say.

"It's the real me, Wangji," he said, "you know I would never try to keep you away from him. I know how much you were hurting back then and I wanted to help you two work it out. I am okay now, and I am back."

"Please do not disappear like that again," he demanded as he hugged Xichen.

"I will try," he said, "why don't you go help Baoshan, your partner is injured and he may need you."

"Thank you," Lan Zhan said with a smile and came over to me and Baoshan.

"Wangji, can you carry him to the infirmary?" Baoshan asked.

"I will," he said and picked me up, "I apologize for getting hurt, it happened unexpectedly."

"I will deal with you after you are recovered," Lan Zhan said and placed a kiss on my forehead, "you are lucky that I am not too mad at you. I know you are alive at least."

"I am sorry," I said feeling bad, "I am not good at keeping my promises apparently."

Lan Zhan glanced down at me, "Wei Ying, don't close yourself up. Talk to me if you need it. I am not upset with you, and I am not mad. I am just worried. I will be careful of my words from now on, okay?"

I nodded, "I just don't want to keep disappointing you. If I can't keep myself from getting injured, how do you expect me to help train you?"

"You will have Baoshan to help you," he said, "you do not have to be so hard on yourself."

I rested my head on his shoulder, "don't leave me, please," I begged.

"I will not," Lan Zhan assured me.
