I followed Baoshan and Lan Queen to the Yashi to talk. Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen were to come as they were also involved. Whatever it was that these people wanted, I was starting to become disinterested. The amount of pain that sits in my heart is so strong that it hurts to breathe.

Why can't anyone ever understand, Why won't they listen to me?

"Now," Lan Qiren said and placed a privacy ward over the room so we can talk with everyone privately, "I want no more secrets. I want to talk all this out today and now. From what I can see, and I am sure you have noticed, Baoshan, that your grandson is in pain. I am not faulting Wangji this time as I have noticed he is trying to mend his relationship with Wuxian...As for you, Xichen, Wangji told me about the words you express the other day to Wuxian and I have to say, I am most disappointed in you. I have long since let go of my past grudges towards Wuxian and here is why...

Wei Wuxian may be the product of Cangse and Changze, but he has not been around his parents since he was a small child. He lost his parents before either of you two lost yours. Wangji was six and Xichen was almost nine by the time of your mother's passing and you both have long since looked to me as a father figure because your father was never in the picture. Wei Wuxian had no parental guidance until he was at least..." he stopped and looked at me, "How old were you when you were taken in by Jiang Fengmian?"

"I was nine, but his wife made it clear from the first day I stepped into the sect that I was never going to be a part of her family. She was going to treat me like my father was treated but worse, a servant," I answered. Baoshan had me sit beside her and I refused to move anywhere else. Lan Wangji and Lan Xichen sat on either side of the table and Lan Qiren sat across from me and Baoshan.

"So as you can see, he still has little to no parental guidance," Lan Qiren said, "I have repented from my actions towards Wei Wuxian when he came here for guest lectures four years ago. When you and Baoshan showed up after you seceded the Jiang Sect, I knew then, that you suffered more than what you would ever say to anyone. I could tell you were at your wits end and could no longer be treated the way you were. You were never once respected as a young teen, and you have even now to gain respect from others. How can you when no one is willing to give you face?

That is what my repentance has taught me about Wei Wuxian. He can so easily seal his pain away until one day, he finally combusts and can no longer keep it all inside. So you are now here again after four years, you have because more mature and even have tried to make amends here. You have given Wangji a chance to seek you out which was kind of you. A person can change a lot after four years and as you can see, Wei Wuxian is a clear example. Xichen, why did you say those words to him like that?

Do you know that Wuxian is now publicly known as heir to Baoshan's mountain and estate? He may be younger than you but he has more authority over you as he ranks higher then you. Xiao Xingchen even informed me that Wei Wuxian is even an Immortal so his combat and intelligence far outweigh yours. Yet you feel so obligated to tell him that he needs to earn your trust when it is the other way around? Wei Wuxian has not once received an ounce of trust until he started living with Baoshan, so if anyone lacks trust, it should be him, not you."

I looked at Lan Xichen and sighed, "I am not bothered by his words, Grandmaster Lan," I said, "Everyone is entitled to their opinions. If he does not trust me, I can understand...as I did stab him four years ago."

"And not only have you apologized for you, I say you have made up for it," Lan Qiren said, "And I think you can just call me Shufu from now on. If you and Wangji can work out your relationship, I imagine that you both will be cultivation partners in the future."

I nodded, "I did offer him to become my disciple though," I said.

Baoshan looked at me, "You want to have him as your disciple but you want to break your string of fate that ties you two together?" She asked.

I blinked a couple times as I realized how ridiculous that sounds, "Um..Yeah," Baoshan then smacked me over the back of the head, "Ouch, that hurt," I argued rubbing the back of my head.

"Because I need to smack some sense into you every once in a while," She said with a sigh and looked at the others, "After lectures, would you be alright with Wuxian taking Wangji as a disciple? He would go through the same training that Wuxian did...but some steps will be removed as he isn't a part of the Sanren bloodline."

"I am okay with this," Lan Qiren said, "But may I ask what part of the Sanren Bloodline has to do with training?"

"Qiren, You know that the cultivation world is now close to having its new Yin and Yang Master," Baoshan pointed out.

"I am aware, and you train them," he said, "as they always...." Lan Qiren looked at me, "fall under the Sanren bloodline."

"Figured it out?" Baoshan asked.

"Wuxian is the next Yin and Yang Master?" Lan Qiren asked astonished.

"I am, and I have been fully trained on the Yin arts already. Of course, one can never stop learning new skills," I said, "So when I said fourth path...I was not wrong...technically."

Lan Qiren sighed, "I have another apology that I owe you Wei Wuxian," he said.

"It is not necessary," I said, "However, your guidance is always needed. Have you noticed this time around during your lectures that I have actually been paying attention?"

"I have."

"You can thank Baoshan for that," I said, "all of my training was very hard but it served me well. I have come a long way and I am always looking for new opportunities to learn and improve."

"How did you do it?" Lan Qiren asked.

"A'Ying's brain is more complex then the average person. He needs ways to stimulate his brain for him to function and focus. Did you know he did not even know how to properly meditate when I started training him? He said he gained all of his spiritual energy from all of the abuse he received from Lotus Pier. Apparently it has a way of building up pain, energy and tolerance levels."

"And he can meditate now?" Xichen asked.

"He can," Baoshan said.

"I would like to become Wei Ying's disciple," Wangji said.

"Very well," Baoshan said and looked at Lan Xichen, "Can you handle that?"

"I am sorry for my behavior and I will do everything I can to improve that," he said.

"Perhaps you and Wuxian need to sit down and properly talk. After all, would you like to get along for the sake of your brother's future?" Baoshan asked.

"If he would like to," Xichen said.

"We can anytime...can I trust being alone with you?" I asked.

"We can be in a public place if you wish," Xichen offered.

"We can meet up in a few days. Let everything settle down and let everyone absorb what was learned today," I said.

"Very well," Xichen replied.
