          Many would say that Helena Potter was born with tragedy in her blood. Unknown parents, spent her first years in an orphanage surrounded by children that weren't like her. In some ways, she always was an outcast wherever she was. At the orphanage, at the Potter mansion, at Hogwarts.

An outcast.

But sometimes she liked to think that she had it easy when she listened to her parents talking about the war. It was no secret that James Potter and Daphne Potter had been through hell. So surely, she had it easy. Loving family and loving brother. What was there to ask?

Somehow she always found herself pulled back by the ties that bind her to that unknown past—the one that haunted the back of her mind where most of the naughty thoughts went, the ones she wasn't proud of, the ones she hated to have.

Helena Potter was born with tragedy in her blood, turning her into a tragedy herself. If the Seers were right, Helena was the kind of play that dealt with tragic events, ended with an unhappy ending and of course, the downfall of someone special. Or perhaps, she would overcome the war and live happily ever after.

authors note, hello! i am back with the second book of illicit affairs... im so excited to have my lovers still here and of course, helena with the love triangle! 🤭🤭

this book can be read as a stand alone book but would be better if illicit affairs was read first.

disclaimer, i do not own anything (sadly) except for the whole plot of illicit affairs that may be mentioned throughout the book. i also own helena potter and her storyline!

reminders, important for me to remind you some points that are relevant for the book:
- lily died but still got harry AND married james,
- sirius was freed of azkaban by daphne in illicit affairs (book one),
- daphne is sirius's cousin because she was born a rosier, and her mum was a black before marrying daph's father (something i had trouble showing in illicit affairs at the beginning),
- daphne and james got married at the end of the book and adopted helena!
