Karma's POV

I laid my head down on my desk. "So boring..."

"Sleeping again, Akabane?" A familiar voice said. I already know it's Hasegawa.

"Leave me alone." I said, not bothering to look at him.

"Don't be so cold, Akabane!" He said in a whiny voice.

This guy...

This guy, Hasegawa Kouichi, has not left me alone since the first day.

"I'm just showing some concern for my friend! It's not good to sleep in class." He said.

Friend...

I stood up and walked towards the door. "H-hey, where are you going?" Hasegawa asked.

"Finding some peace and quiet." I slid the door open, "See ya~" I smiled.

As I walked through the hallway, a bunch of girls began whispering.

"Hey, hey, it's Akabane-kun!"

"He's so hot! I heard he's super strong, too!"

"You're so lucky to be in the same class!"

"Shut up..." I said under my breath.

I went outside and walked towards a tree. There was no one around. "I think I've found my spot in this school~"

I laid down under the tree and took out my music player. I was getting more and more sleepy as each song finished.

"I wonder what Nagisa's doing... Probably with her friends." I thought about the bluenette.

I looked at the blue sky as I began to fall asleep. The sky kinda reminds me of Nagisa...

-Time skip-

I ended up going back after two periods. It turned out it was lunchtime.

"Do you have a girlfriend, Akabane?" Hasegawa asked as he stood by my desk.

"Yeah." I said while smiling.

"Seriously!? What's she like?" He asked in excitement.

"Well, she's basically the perfe-" I paused.

"What if he starts to fall for her? No way I can talk about how beautiful and perfect Nagisa is..."

"Normal." I said.

"Normal?" He said in disappointment. "You got any pictures of her?"

I took out my phone, "Yep-" I thought again. "No, I don't."

"I can't let him see what's in there... Then he'll definitely fall for her."

Of course, I have a lot of pictures of Nagisa. Most of them she didn't know I took a picture of. I even have one of her in her swimsuit when we went to the beach with the others.

Well, maybe not just one.

"What? You're totally lying!" He said while smirking.

"I'm not!" I said while putting away my phone.

He suddenly snatched my phone and started unlocking it. Before I could react, he was already in my gallery.

"Whoaa!! She's super hot!!" He said while holding his spiky brown hair.

"She's very fine if I do say so myself... And wow, you have a bunch of them..."

He continued looking at them. "What's this? Nagisa? That's her name?"

That one must be the one from her birthday party...

"Are you sure you didn't blackmail her into dating you or something?" He said teasingly.

I quickly snatched it back from him, "Give it back!" I growled.

"Ah, your girlfriend is pretty, Akabane! You're so lucky you have a girlfriend..." He said while blushing.

"Great. Now he fell for her."

I smiled, "If you lay a finger on my Nagisa, then I'll show you the true meaning of pain!" I said while my Koro-sensei face showed.

He sweat dropped, "Yikes!! Okay, okay!!"

Yes, he does know about my violent behavior. He's seen me when he was walking with me.

"Hey, did you hear that?" A girl said to her friend.

"Akabane-kun has a girlfriend? Aw, too bad..."

"Where is this girl? I need to see if she's qualified enough for Akabane-kun..." She said.

I scoffed. "She's way more qualified than you~"

"How can you like him!?" They continued to whisper. "Sure, he's hot, but he's so scary..." Another said.

"I've seen him beat up guys and force them to eat hot chili peppers!!"

"Seriously!?"

"I can hear you, you know..." I thought as I pretended not to hear them.

But yes, what they said is true. I guess there are some people who are scared of me and some people who like me...

Oh well. It's not like I care...

"Anyway, let's buy lunch. I'm starving!" Hasegawa said while smiling.

"Sure." I stood up and walked towards the door.

"Whoa, you said yes!?" He said in surprise as he looked at me walking.

I looked back and smiled, "Hurry up, slowpoke!"

"Yeah, yeah!" He ran to me.

We walked towards the school canteen.

There were students in the hallways and in their classrooms.

The atmosphere is different than in Kunugigaoka Junior High. Here, there are no people who discriminate you for having bad grades or for being a troublemaker.

Well, not that I know of.

"Hey, where's my money you promised me yesterday!?" A voice said, echoing through the hallway.

We turned over to them and saw a black haired boy with glasses getting picked on by two douche bags.

"U-um... I don't have it yet..." The smaller boy said in fear.

"You said you promised, right? It's bad to break promises..." The bully said.

No one was even looking their way and just walked by.

"Hey~" I said in a sing-sing tone.

"Huh?" One of them said. They turned to me.

I raised my fist, about to punch him.

But suddenly, an image of Nagisa putting her arms into an "X" appeared. "No fighting!" She said.

I stopped and sweat dropped.

I smiled, "Your mommy didn't give you any change, today? Too bad~"

"Huh!?" They seemed angry.

"But don't you think it's kind of lame to be bullying people weaker than you to get money~?" I said.

He ran up to me, "Why you-" He punched me, but I dodged it.

Well, I tried...

I punched him in the stomach, making him fall down. I punched the other in the face and then kneed him in the stomach. "Haha~"

I continued to beat them up and saw Hasegawa go to the black haired boy while sweat dropping.

"A-are you okay? There's no stopping him now..." He said while smiling.

"Y-yeah..." The boy replied.

-Time skip-

"Don't ever pick on other people again, okay~?" I said while smiling. "Or else I might have to do something even worse..." My Koro-sensei face showed.

The bullies ran away with bruises on them, "D-dammit!!"

I sighed and turned back to the black haired boy.

"U-um, th-thank you very much!!" He bowed.

I smiled, "No need to show such formality."

I turned back, "See ya!"

"A-ah!" The boy said in surprise.

Hasegawa walked beside me and said, "Man. You did a number on those guys."

"I guess."

"Hey, you kinda held back a little there. What's up?" He smiled.

"Ah, that. Well, Nagisa told me not to fight much, so I kinda held back a little." I said.

He smirked, "Heeh, so it was your girlfriend, huh~?" He nudged me with his elbow as we walked.

"Anyway, we're here." I said as I stopped in front of the canteen.

"I think I'll go for an onigiri today..." Hasegawa said as he took out his wallet. "What are you getting?"

"I'll get strawberry milk." I walked to the vending machine.

"You sure love strawberry milk." He said.

As I was about to put my money in, a voice said, "U-um, I'll get that for you!"

I turned over to see the boy from earlier. "Oh, it's you? Nah, it's fine."

"N-no, it's the least I could do to repay you!" He said as he put some change in and pressed the button under the strawberry milk.

"Really? Well, okay." I said as I smiled.

"Um, my name is Hirose Ryouma..." He gave me the strawberry milk. I said, "Akabane Karma." I accepted the drink.

"You did have money after all."

"Eh?"

"Hey, Akabane, you done?" Hasegawa called me while holding his onigiri.

"Yeah!" I said as I walked to him. I turned my head back, "You coming?"

He stayed quiet and then said, "Y-yeah!"

-Time skip-

"B-bye-bye, Nagisa-chan!" Shiraishi said as she waved to Nagisa. "See you tomorrow!" Nagisa replied.

She went.

The train moved again after the doors closed. "So," Nagisa started. "How's school?"

"Same as always." I replied while smiling.

"Same as always? Don't you say that everytime I ask you that?" She looked at me.

"Well, I say it because it's true."

"Hm..." She said. "Then, did you make any friends?"

I thought about Hasegawa and Hiro.

"Hm... I wouldn't consider those two as 'friends'..." I said.

"'Those two'? So you have made friends!" She smiled.

"Like I said..."

"You're just being a tsundere again, Karma. Just admit that they're your friends."

I sweat dropped. "O-okay, okay..."

She smiled and then leaned on my shoulder, "I'm glad."

I smiled and hugged her, "Why is it that everything you do turns out so cute?"

She blushed, "I-I'm not even trying to be..."

"You're always cute, though~"
