Nagisa's POV

"Nagisa, dear!" Mom called me from downstairs.

"Yeah!" I shouted.

"Can you come here for a moment?" She said.

"Okay!" I put my phone down on my end table. I got off my bed and walked out my room.

I stepped down the stairs, searching for my mother. She was in the kitchen.

"What is it?" I asked her.

She turned to me and said, "We're running low on some supplies. Could you go to the convenience store and buy them?" She asked.

I thought about it for a few seconds. I then said, "Okay."

"That's my girl!" She smiled at me. "Here's the list and money. And come help me prepare dinner later, okay?"

I took the list and the money. "Yes, mom." I said to her.

I then headed towards the door to wear my shoes. "Be careful!" Dad said to me.

I turned my head and smiled at him. "Yeah!"

I headed out.

I sighed as I walked through the streets. It was about 3 in the afternoon, and the sky already has a mixture if orange in it.

Yes, mom has been a lot less strict now. But I know that that side of her is still there. And it'll be triggered if I disobey her, or anything else that relates to that topic.

But dad is here now, so she's been a lot less strict lately. I'm sure dad has talked to her about it at some point...

Karma still doesn't like my mom, by the way. He still gets worried over me if I mention my her. And vice versa.

I kept walking to the convenience store. It was pretty far since there were no convenience stores near my house, but I can handle it.

And besides, it's nothing compared to walking up the mountain or walking to the main building everyday back in 3-E.

While walking, I saw another person walking around. He went into another street, and I didn't see him anymore. I didn't think much about it and continued walking.

After about 15 minutes, I reached the convenience store. I went in and bought the stuff I needed. Eggs, milk, meat, leeks, onions...

I went to the cashier after I got everything I needed. It was all put into two plastic bags, one of them had a leek sticking out of it.

I payed for it and went out. "Thank you very much!" One of the workers said.

I walked back into the lonely street.

I could hear some dogs barking behind some fences. Other than that, it was completely quiet.

Even though my neighborhood is usually quiet, the people here are really nice.

While I was walking, I saw someone walking around.

"...Huh?" I thought. "That's the person who was walking around here before."

I looked at him.

He had blonde hair and a familiar figure. He was holding a bag while he walked.

...It's Yamaguchi-kun.

I walked towards him. I was behind him, but he didn't seem to notice.

"Yamaguchi-kun?" I said.

He was startled and jumped a bit before turning his head. "...It's just you, Shiota-san..." He released his breath.

"What a coincidence." I said.

"What are you doing here?" He asked me in a no-tone voice.

"I live here. What are you doing?"

"I'm going home." He started walking again.

I walked and caught up with him. "Oh. Where were you from?"

He said, "Cram school."

"Cram school? On Golden Week?" I said, amazed. "That's amazing, Yamaguchi-kun. I don't think I can survive studying in the weekends."

"Well, no wonder he's smart."

"And why are you following me?" He looked at me and asked.

"I'm not. This is the way to my house." I replied.

We kept walking.

"Say, Yamaguchi-kun," I started. "Are you lost?"

He flinched and looked away. "N-no, I'm not."

"Really? I think you've been walking around here for a while. And then you ended up in the same place anyway." I said.

"I know where I'm going." He said.

I looked at him, sweat dropping.

It was clear that he doesn't know where he was going.

"Do you want help?" I said.

"No."

"Why not?"

He looked at me. "I don't like asking other people for help." He said, "And I know where I'm going."

I asked him, "Where do you live?"

He stayed silence for a few seconds and then said, "The Tokiwa neighborhood."

I stopped walking and started pointing. "You have to go back and then left. When you come across a convenience store, go right. Then walk straight ahead."

"That's where all the huge mansions are..."

He looked back at me. "I'm not lost."

"Just admit that you're lost..." I thought as I sweat dropped.

"Just go, Yamaguchi-kun. Otherwise you'll never get home." I said as I made a (￣∇￣") face.

He looked at me for a few seconds before turning his body and walking the other way, the way I told him to go. He passed me and said, "I told you, I don't need help."

I looked back at him and smiled.

"It seems like Yamaguchi-kun has a lot of pride..." I thought as I continued carrying the plastic bags while walking.

After another 15 minutes, I reached my house. "I'm back!" I shouted as I closed the door with my back.

"Welcome back." Dad said.

I went to the kitchen, where mom was still preparing. "Thank you, Nagisa." She said.

"Now help me prepare dinner. You still remember how to make sukiyaki, right? I've taught you not too long ago." She said.

"Yes, mom." I replied.

"Good. Let's start making dinner."

-Time skip-

I looked at my phone as I flopped onto my bed.

It's like none of that ever happened.

I looked at my phone to see text messages. They were from Kaede.

"Nagisa, how you doing? It's been a while! So tomorrow, 3-E are going to an amusement park. You know, since it's golden week and all. Can you come?" Was what it said.

I replied back, "Yeah, I'm free tomorrow, I'll come. What time?"

Not long after, she replied. "Really!? Awesome! > 3 > We're all meeting up at 9 am in the amusement park."

"When it opens?"

"Well, yeah! We're gonna be there when it opens until it closes! ヽ(＾Д＾)ﾉ"

"Not wasting any time, huh?"

"Nope, none at all! See you tomorrow! ≧ω≦"

"See you!"

I then exited the messaging app. "The amusement park... I rarely ever go to the amusement park. I've only went once."

I laid down, smiling. "I'm feeling kind of excited..."

I'm going to put actual rides that exist in the next chapter! And it totally isn't going to be from the amusement park I usually go to.
