Chapter 11: His Parents
Nagisa's POV
"Your parents?" I asked as I walked.
"Yeah," The red head beside me said. "They're in town since last week and they said they wanted to meet you."
Karma's parents, huh? Now that I think about it, we actually haven't met yet.
"Okay, sure. When?" I asked him.
He replied, "Is tomorrow good?"
"Yeah. After school?"
"Yeah." He said.
I wonder what they're like?
"Don't worry," He said as he held my hand. "I'll make them like you. There's no way I'll let them separate us!" He smiled.
I smiled as I held his hand.
"Yeah."
I reassured myself that I have nothing to be nervous about.
-Time skip-
Okay, nevermind, I'm getting kind of nervous right now.
Karma noticed my unusual behavior as we were getting closer and closer to his house.
"It'll be okay. They're pretty nice. Besides, they've been asking lots of questions about you." Karma said while smiling.
"Is that so?" I asked.
"Yep."
I looked at my uniform from top to bottom.
"Do I look neat?" I asked. "I actually made myself neater today."
He looked at me, "You already look neat without even making yourself neat." He said as he chuckled.
We walked and walked, until we reached a certain house.
Well, maybe "mansion" is a more appropriate word.
I've been to Karma's house many times, but his parents were never there when I did come.
He opened the big gates, and we went inside.
My heart was beating faster and faster as we reached the door.
He opened the door and went inside.
"I'm home." He said as he walked in.
I walked in as well, and we took off our shoes.
Karma lazily took off his shoes and left them where they were messily. He went inside the house.
I sighed. "Geez..."
I took his shoes and aligned it next to mine and then went in.
"Welcome home, Karma." A female voice said.
I turned to the source to see a woman wearing a white turtle neck shirt and black pants.
She had maroon colored hair that curled up on the ends, going past her shoulders on her back. Her eyes were dark red, and they were very pretty.
She looked like a beautiful and elegant woman.
"Oh, you must be Nagisa-chan?" She smiled as she looked at me.
I smiled, "Ah, yes."
She walked in front of me and put her hands on my shoulders, "My, what a beautiful girl you are!"
Her comment made me blush a little. "T-thank you very much."
"Come in, come in! Let's talk on the table." She said. "Oh, but I'm sure you know where it is, right?"
"Yes." I said.
"Go ahead and sit down, I'll go get my husband." She said as she smiled.
She walked upstairs.
Karma looked at me and said, "Well, let's sit."
He led me to the table and we sat down.
"Nervous?" Karma asked me as he smirked.
"Yeah." I said.
"Don't worry!" He smiled at me before putting his hand on top of mine.
He relaxed me a bit.
Not long after, the woman from before came back with a man.
The man she was with had blonde hair with orange eyes. Nagisa was a little surprised, considering his foreign-like appearance. He was a little taller than the woman.
"Ah, so you must be the girl Karma wouldn't stop talking about." He said as he smiled.
They sat down across us.
I said, "My name is Shiota Nagisa. I'm currently in a relationship with Karma. Pleased to meet you." I bowed a little.
The woman smiled, "Nice to meet you, my name is Akabane Mitsuru, Karma's mother."
The man then said, "My name is Akabane Isaac, Karma's father. Thank you for taking care of my son." He smiled.
"Karma," Mitsuru-san said. "Why don't you make us some tea?"
"Ehh, why me?" Karma whined. He then stood up and went to the kitchen, flashing me a smile.
"So," Isaac-san started. "What do you like about Karma?" He asked.
I looked at him and said, "Well, there's actually a lot of things I like about him."
"Would you be so kind to tell us?" Mitsuru-san said as she smiled and put her head on her hands.
"Well, at first, I thought he was weird. I was right, he is weird, but when he started talking to me, I started to think more of him." I started.
"I then learned more things about him. He fights for the sake of other people, the hard work he puts into everything, and the confidence he shows..." I said.
"I really admire Karma. He's kind, confident, intelligent, caring, and a little bit overprotective..."
I continued, "Even though he can be such a devil sometimes, it didn't stop me from falling in love with him." I blushed a little.
They looked at each other, surprised.
They then looked at me while smiling. Mitsuru-san said, "Has he changed at all since you met him?"
"I try to be a good influence on him." I answered. "But he has changed a lot, especially since last year." I thought about Korosensei.
"Is that so?" Isaac-san said. "What are your thoughts about the people who think poorly of him? That he's violent, sadistic, and such?" He asked.
I smiled, "I think they're right. He is violent and sadistic. But they don't know how he truly is on the inside. If they know, I'm sure that they'll change their mind about him."
I said, "Karma is without a doubt the most amazing person I've met."
They smiled at me.
Karma came back with a tray of tea. He put the tray on the table and put the cups in front of us.
He sat back down next to me.
"What do you like about Nagisa-chan, Karma?" Isaac-san asked him.
"Nagisa? Well, everything." He said.
He continued, "How kind she is, how beautiful she is, how caring she is, how sharp she is about her surroundings... Everything."
Mitsuru-san smiled, "Is that so?" She sipped her tea. "That's understandable, considering how charming Nagisa-chan is!"
"E-eh?" I said.
We continued talking as we drank our tea.
Isaac-san said, "You see, Nagisa-chan, me and his mother often travel around the world to work. So we always leave him at home alone."
"He has always been quiet when we do come home. I figured that he was lonely, being left alone almost everyday." Mitsuru-san started.
"But since last year, he's been a lot more cheerful and noisy. Now I know the reason why." She smiled as she looked at me.
"We do care about him, even though it doesn't seem like we show it." Isaac-san said. "And we do feel guilty leaving him at home. It also seems like he feels a lot of loneliness."
"However," Mitsuru-san said. She put her hands on mine. "With you, Nagisa-chan, I believe that you have erased the loneliness Karma felt."
She continued, "I remember when Karma was born. It was a cold night, and me and my husband were going to the shrine."
She said, "Suddenly, my stomach started hurting, and I was quickly rushed to the hospital."
"We still remember that day very clearly." Isaac-san said.
"Karma was a Christmas gift for us." Mitsuru-san said. "It was the best gift we could ever hope for, and we were very grateful."
She smiled, "Even though we know he can be a handful sometimes, please continue taking care of Karma."
I smiled, "Yes. I will."
Mitsuru-san and Isaac-san smiled at me warmly.
She stood up, "Now then! I'm going to clean up." She put the now empty cups of tea on the tray.
I stood up, "Ah, I'll help!"
"No, no, you can sit down, Nagisa-chan." She said as she walked to the kitchen.
I walked beside her, "No, I insist."
We then left to the kitchen to clean up.
Karma's POV
Phew... That ended well.
Man, they said some embarrassing and cheesy stuff back there...
My dad walked up to me and said, "Make sure to take good care of her, Karma."
He put his arm around my neck and playfully said, "She's a keeper~"
I smiled, "Yeah."
Nagisa and my mom soon came back from the kitchen.
"Now, why don't you two go up to Karma's room while I prepare dinner?" Mom said.
"Sure." I said as I walked beside Nagisa, going upstairs.
Dad yelled, "Don't do anything M rated~"
"S-shut up!" I shouted from the stairs, my face red.
We could hear chuckling.
We went into my room.
Same old stuff.
Nagisa sat down on my bed and released a sigh of relief.
I sat next to her and said, "See? Nothing to worry about!"
She smiled, "Yeah."
She said, "I'm glad... I'm really glad..."
I put her head on my shoulder, "I wouldn't have allowed it if they didn't let us be together! So either way, the outcome would be the same~"
She smiled.
"Let's play video games." I said as I turned the TV on.
"Okay." She said as she got of my bed.
We started playing a fighting game. A lot of time has passed.
"Ah!" She exclaimed as the screen said "K.O.". "I lost again! That one was pretty close..."
I smirked, "No one can beat my Shadow Labrys~"
"I think my Aigis is pretty good..." She said while pouting.
She's so cute...
I pushed her onto the floor, pinning her down while dropping my controller.
Her face became red, "W-what?"
I smirked and leaned in, kissing her. I could see her face getting even more red.
I intertwined my hands with hers as she closed her eyes.
The music from the game kept playing, and it went back to the character selection.
Soon we pulled away.
"W-why did you do that?" Nagisa asked.
"You looked cute." I smirked.
She said, "Karma?"
"Yeah?" I replied.
"...If you feel lonely... just say it to me. I'll do my best to be there for you."
My eyes widened a bit.
I smiled. "I never feel lonely when you're around. And besides, you're always there for me."
Suddenly, the door opened. "Dinner is ready!" Mom said as she swung the door open.
.
.
.
"Oh my~~" She said as she blushed while putting her hand on her cheek.
My dad peered in, and looked at us. "Ohohohoho~ What do we have here~?" He started taking pictures of us.
Our faces became redder than ever.
"Get out!!" I shouted.
