I have found it. The Key is not a key.

After many years of search, the trials came to an end. Hidden in a luscious oasis the key of doom waited patiently for me, and when I took it, an angel with fiery hair appeared before me.

His voice sounded like thunder as he spoke: "Now you must choose if the end begins or is delayed."

As I held the Key of hell, terrible visions invaded my mind. Monsters swarming from within a crystal gate, people screaming in pain while they fell to a fire pit, four demonic knights scorching the land and a monstrous dragon eating the souls of the innocents. Screaming with fright and pain, I fell to the ground; and my fingers released the key as if they were possessed by some spirit. "Take it back! Take it back!" I pleaded to the fire angel but he only shook his head and ordered me to choose.

I heard their screams inside my head again and the words came out of my mouth: "I choose to delay the end."

The angel came to me and touching my back, he took us both to another place.  A strange dry land where the ground was covered in salt and root-like mountains surrounded the place. The air was hotter than the sands of Egypt but the cry of a bird of prey could be heard in the distance.

The fiery angel spoke in a strange tongue and the ground beneath our feet began to shake and shift, leaving us floating in midair. Before my eyes the earth was shaped until various caves took form. And we descended to them as if it were mist, leaving the key hidden behind rock and tricks.

My divine companion then brought me home and told me my task had been done. His voice like thunder and storm said to me: "Well done, Chosen One. You saved humanity from an early judgment but now your real test begins. Satan's mistress will haunt your footsteps forever for she is as relentless as a furious storm. Remember; your enemies are closer than you think."

And with those words he vanished from my life forever.

She has come for me....
