Chapter 19
{This is the end! I want to thank everyone for sticking though my longest story yet! I love you all!}
Levy P.O.V.
I sat beside Gajeels bed, Aurora asleep in my lap. I had gotten her cleaned up and the bruise on her face made me even angrier than before. She also had several small cuts on her arms along with her scrapped knee. Gajeels doctors said other than some severe blood loss there wasn't much damage. He would have to lay off the jobs for awhile but he would live. He had yet to wake up though so I was worried. I held his hand as I watched him sleep. I had called Lily and explained what happened, he said he would stay with Aaron till I came home.
I fiddled with the locket at my neck, the one Gajeel had gotten for me all those years ago. I opened it and smiled softly. Gajeels picture was still there, him with ice cream. On the other side was a new picture, Aurora kissing newborn Aaron's head. I closed the locket and held it close, trying not to cry. I jumped a little as a large hand wiped away an escaped tear. I looked to Gajeel and he smiled a little. "Don't cry..." He whispered. Of course that only made me cry more. "Jerk," I sniffed as I wiped at my eyes. Aurora stirred and looked up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She perked up when she saw he was awake.
"Daddy!" she cried, hopping off my lap and jumping on him. He tried not to wince as he wrapped his arms around her. "Hey princess. Have you been good for mommy?" She nodded as she grinned. He smiled as he ruffled her hair. He looked at me and held his arm out. I sniffed and stood up, walking to him. He pulled me close and hugged me with Aurora. "Im so glad your ok..." I whispered into his ear. He chuckled lightly. "I wouldn't leave you." He kissed my cheek. We sat for a long time just talking before the doctor came in. After giving him a check up he said he could leave in the morning as long as he did well during the night.
I took Aurora home, much to her dislike. The next morning I left her and Aaron with Lily before going to get Gajeel. He was shrugging into his shirt when I walked in, well trying to. His stomach was wrapped and he looked like he was having a hard time. "Here" I said quietly. It was a button up shirt so I took it and helped him into it before buttoning it for him. He lifted my chin and smiled softly. "Im sorry I scared you," he whispered. I smiled a little. "Your here, that's all that matters." I said quietly. He hugged me tight and I hugged him back, carful of his wound.
I helped him into the limo before sitting next to him. We were quiet for the ride home. As we got out Aurora ran to us. Gajeel picked her up, even though he wasn't supposed to but I smiled. This difficult man and the little girl in his arms were my life. The boy inside completed it all, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
