Chapter 11

Gajeel P.O.V.

I sat, impatiently waiting for Flare at the restaurant we had chosen. It was run by some McGarden clients, so there were guards everywhere, hiding as civilians. And actually, they were all gang members. Flare walked in with her small guard and sat. My eyes shot to the necklace around her neck, I nearly chocked her out right then and there.

"Thank you for meeting with me Mr.Redfox." I nodded, putting on a fake smile. "Of course Miss.Corona. My that's a lovely necklace." She smiled and touched it. "Thank you, it was a gift." I leaned forward and I saw Lily closing in out of the corner of my eye. "May I see what the picture is inside?" I saw her pale. "T-there isn't a picture Mr.Redfox. It's just a necklace." I didn't listen to her as I popped open the locket. There it was, that picture of me eating ice cream for the first time. Opposite of it was Levy smiling, wearing my bandana after she stole it from me.

"Now, don't lie to me Corona." I started as the members began to stand. "I will ask you once. Where is my wife?" The room was deadly quiet. She tensed and jumped to her feet. Dozens of guns were raised and the Ravens couldn't move. I stood calmly, ripping the necklace from her and pocketing it. "I'm waiting Miss.Corona." She glared at me and I was losing what little patience I had. I didn't much care that she was a woman, anyone who hurts my wife deserves what hell I give them.

I back handed her, sending her sprawling on the floor. Her guard tried to step forward but I pulled out my gun, shooting the closest one between the eyes. "S-she's at our compound!" Flare cried. "But it's heavily guarded... You might not get to her before..." she started a crazed laugh. I picked her up by the front of her dress, growling. "Before what?" She tried to smirk but my anger turned it to fear. "Little blue is carrying yours. She could have it at any time now." I thought my heart would stop.

I recalled Levys letter. 'And Gajeel please hurry, I'm p-'. She was writing pregnant. I threw Flare across the room and she smashed into the wall. "I want everyone at the Raven mansion in thirty minutes. Call the Heartfillias as well." I called and everyone lept into action. Lily and I made it to the Coronas first and there were dozens of them in front alone. Soon, our three families were gathered. "What's the plan?" Lucy asked. She had the Dragneel son, Natsu, with her. "Storm the gates, shoot anyone who isn't the shrimp." I said roughly. She nodded. Everyone raised their guns, taking aim, and in a rain of bullets, the front guard was wiped out.

We ran inside, guns blazing and the Ravens fell like flies. I ran through the halls, blasting away anyone in my path. I eventually found a door that lead below the house. I followed it to find a small dungeon, filled with guards. I looked to Lily who had followed me and nodded. We stepped forward and let loose. The guards fell before they even realized what happened. All was quiet, if only briefly. What I heard next had me sprinting down the halls, abandoning my gun. The sound of a baby's cry.

I got to the door it was coming from and kicked open the door. The sight before me nearly knocked me to my knees. Levy was laying on the ground, barely breathing. Her skin was pale and her leg had a makeshift brace. Her forehead was covered in dried blood and fresh blood pooled around her legs. Her dress was drenched, and in her lip arms was a tiny squalling baby. "Gajeel pull yourself together!" Lily snapped at me. I shook my head and knelt beside her.

Lily left the room and came back with two blankets he found. I wrapped the baby in one and handed it, her, to Lily. I wrapped the other one tightly around Levy and carefully picked her up. Even unconscious she whimpered in pain and it tore at my heart. I made a run for it, trying not to jostle her to much. As we ran back through the mansion people cleared the way. From what little Flare had said and from Levys letter, I knew she would need to go to the hospital. Our family had connections and there was already and ambulance waiting outside.

I climbed in with Levy tightly in my arms and Lily handed the baby to one of the emts. "We will take care if things here sir." Lily said and I nodded, laying my broken wife on the stretcher. The ambulance ride almost killed me. They hooked her up to monitors and ivs. The monitor for her heart was slow and I was afraid it would stop. At the hospital they rushed her to the er and I wasn't allowed to follow.

They took the baby to the nicu, where I also wasn't allowed to follow. I paced angrily around the waiting room, not caring about the stares. After about an hour a nurse came out of the nicu. I knew her, she worked for the family. "Gajeel." she said as I walked up to her. "The baby was early, by almost two months. She wi need to stay here so we can put some weight on her and make sure everything is developed correctly. She could be here for a month, two at the most." She said quietly. I had to sit before my legs have out.

"Any news on Levy?" She shook her head sadly before patting my shoulder. I covered my face in my hands.
