Personality
Ethni is a very bold person, and has a strong personality, but she isn't completely bull-headed; it usually takes a while for someone to grasp the full view of who she is.
On the surface she's harsh, mean, stubborn, and she likes to push boundaries placed around her. She doesn't take shit from anyone, and she doesn't like people trying to take advantage of her, or anyone for that matter. She isn't afraid to use her voice when she sees or hears something she doesn't agree with, and typically will verbally attack anyone she feels is being rude or cruel. She never gets physical, though, past trauma makes her partial against violence, and she freezes up a bit if she ever had the urge to hurt someone. She doesn't back down from any of her stances, and it's near impossible to change her mind based on opinion alone, but she will listen to facts.
If no one is posing a threat or being rash, however, Ethni is very motherly and protective. She had a soft spot in her heart for younger children and dogs, and protects those she thinks need it (unless they don't want to be protected or think they'll be fine, then she leaves people alone). She gets in arguments that don't involve her trying to protect people, and she helps those she can when she can.

Backstory
Ethni was born in a wealthy home, she was raised bilingual and had a lovely childhood until age seven. At seven her parents were killed while she was with a friend, and she returned home to their dead bodies (she doesn't know this but her parents took part in illegal business and something went wrong, hence why they were killed). She ran away rather than going with her family (most of whom she'd never met), and lived on the streets after that.
She faired decently after a while, she started taking to the stray dogs, who were friendly if you fed them. At this point she was still fairly violent as a person.
She got in a fight with another homeless kid over something stupid that she frankly doesn't remember, and it got physical. She slammed the boy's head into a wall, and he died. She hid the body and it still hasn't been found, but she's been traumatized since. She never meant to kill him and has vowed to avoid physical violence.
She barely remembers her parents anymore.
