Yibo stayed with Zhan for around a week and during that one week had taken more care of him than his parents had ever done in his entire life.

"I need to go back to my house." Yibo said as he sat beside Zhan, "I need to check if everything is alright."

"I will come with you." Zhan said, Yibo gave him a nod, besides he didn't want to be away from Zhan either.

Suddenly a sound came from the kitchen and Zhan got up, "The cake must be ready I will be back soon."

While he was gone, his phone rang, "Yibo can you check who it is? I am a little busy."

Yibo did as he was told, "what's the password?" he asked.

Zhan then said a combination of six digits that Yibo recognized as his birthday, and once he opened the phone he even saw that the wallpaper was also his photo, which he had no idea when Zhan had taken.

He smiled as he said, "It's your brother."

"Oh just ignore."

" Are you sure?" 

"Yeah, just reply that I will do it later whatever he is telling me to do."

"He is asking you to fuck off."

Zhan laughed, "reply with sure, later."

Yibo laughed and did as he was told after he closed the app, his eyes fell on another folder, that was labelled, as 'darling' and so he became curious and opened the folder which had a password that was also his birthday.

And what he saw was his photos, and they all seemed to be taken a while ago, he had no idea when Zhan had taken these photos.

He went through them and there were some 500 hundreds of them and he was not able to look at theme all but he did smiled like an idiot as he was seeing them.

"What are you doing?" Zhan asked as he sat beside Yibo.

"When did you take these photos?" Yibo asked.

Zhan smiled and said, "back in the college when you were not paying attention, you looked so beautiful in all of them."

"What are you? a stalker?"

"Yes." Zhan replied proudly, Yibo just shook his head and sighed.

The next day they drove to the house and once they reached the house, Yibo saw two people standing in front of the entrance. As he walked near them the two people nodded at Zhan and he looked back at him,

Zhan smiled and replied, "just a little security for your house."

Yibo smiled as he walked inside the house and it seemed like nothing was touched, as he walked inside his room, he saw the mess was still there, there was some injections as well and then there was that white powder.

Yibo picked it up and gave it to Zhan, "just throw it away."

Zhan happily obliged.

Yibo then picked up his broken phone and threw it in the trash as well, Zhan had already given him a new phone and a new number and he didn't need this old one anymore so he threw it away.

After that Zhan and Yibo cleaned the house together and cooked together, before Yibo said, "I have thought about your offer Zhan, I think I will take it, so when is my interview."

Zhan smiled, "I would need to talk to my brother regarding it, he will tell you."

"I see." as the two sat and ate in silence, Yibo suddenly heard the doorbell ring and some vigorous knocking.

He sighed as he looked at Zhan, "they are back, I guess. I will deal with them, you stay here. finish your food."

Zhan nodded, once Yibo went out, he saw his parents as well his sister and Sam there, they were looking at him with anger.

His mother spoke, "where the hell were you all this week huh! We have been trying to contact you so hard and you didn't answer who do you think you are!"

"Why are you here?" he asked.

His father spoke, "of course to discuss the matters regarding the property. Your sister is pregnant you should give her this house! As  a gift! You have never done anything for your family anyway this is the least you can do!"

Yibo looked at her and sighed, "I pity your child."

His sister's eyes widened and then he looked at his father dead in the eye and said, "Father this is my last warning to you, I am not going to give this house to you or anyone and no one is getting a dime from my inheritance, it's mine. So get the fuck lost and never show me your face again.

Besides you all have done nothing for me anyways."

His father was enraged as he went ahead and was about to slap him but before he could Zhan grabbed his hand and smiled at him, his father looked at him and thought that he looked familiar.

Zhan pushed him back harshly and said, "hello, Mr. Wang, did you recognize me? It seems you didn't well let me remind you, my name is Xiao Zhan."

His father's eyes widened when he heard that and he moved back feeling visibly scared, while Zhan said "you have really pissed me off, all of you."

Zhan then looked at Sam and walked towards him, he kept his hand over his shoulder and smiled, he was taller than Sam, "Sam right? the one who bullied Yibo and then also gave him drugs right?"

Sam was uncomfortable and tried to laugh it off, "oh. what are you talking about, I never bullied him, it was all just a joke."

Zhan applied pressure on his shoulder and said in a cold voice, "then, I am also give you a gift, I am going to give all of you a gift, I hope you are all going to love it. Get lost right now, before I have you all beat up."

As he said those words the two tall and muscular guards who were earlier standing outside the house came behind them.

Yibo's family was visibly shaken up and they gave him the nastiest glare before they left and once they were gone, Yibo looked at Zhan and said, "What was that about? What gift have you planned for them?"

"Well, you will know soon."

Yibo sighed, "just tell me."

"Then  it won't be a good surprise." Zhan said, "I will go and call my brother you go ahead and prepare for your interview and you better pass."

"Oh, I will."

"That's the confidence."

Just as Zhan had said, Yibo had started to prepare for the interview, once Zhan had talked to his brother, Yibo was contacted by Cheng's assistant and he was told that there was no need to tell anything to Zhan.

Just as Zhan had said, he absolutely had nothing to do with the interview or anything, and neither he interfered in Yibo's work.

He and Yibo had also decided to move in together in Yanli's house to live together.

The day of Yibo's interview came soon and he was all ready for it as he felt confident he had also applied to several other companies for an interview as well as he wanted more options and wanted to keep himself busy and Zhan as usual supported him.

"All the best." Zhan said to Yibo as he sent him off but not before giving him a kiss.

Yibo had met Zhan's brother a few times six years ago and never after that. And now that he was seeing him after so many years, he can see that he had grown so much as well.

He had changed just like Zhan had. He looked more mature and more responsible, as well someone strict and hard to approach but from what Zhan had told him about Cheng there was nothing to worry about.

After the interview was over, Cheng finally spoke, "that was a nice interview Mr. Wang."

He and Yibo were the only two left in the room, Yibo smiled and gave him a nod while Cheng said, "your result will be sent to you soon, but now that the interview is over, I would like to request something from you on a personal level."

Yibo nodded, "sure what is it."

Cheng's smile dropped and he looked grumpy now, "Tell that idiot to contact mom and to stop cancelling meetings at the last moments, if he cancels one more appointment then I am going to find him and beat the living crap out of him before disowning him." he sighed and then smiled again, "that's all."

Yibo smiled as he looked down, "sure."

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and two looked at it, a woman sneaked in and smiled brightly when she saw Yibo, "oh my god Yibo... how have you been?"

This was Zhan's mother, and she looked so happy to see you, "how are you? how is Zhan? and you look so thin? Is Zhan nit taking care of you nicely."

Cheng scoffed, "do you really think that he can take care of anyone nicely mummy?"

"It's not like that, he takes good care of me." Yibo defended.

Zhan's mother sighed, "you come with me Yibo let's go for a lunch, after all I have been dying to meet and spend time with my son-in-law." she said it so naturally as if she had been saying this for a long time.

And she didn't even realize what she had said but Cheng did as he sighed and so did Yibo who froze at his place.

But then Cheng kept his arm around his shoulder and said, "don't be so surprised, for the past six years, we both have been hearing about your greatness, we both know more about you then you think, because that idiot just never shuts up.

Let's go and have lasagna."

Yibo's eyes widened when he heard that as it was his favorite food and not just that Zhan's mother also ordered all the dishes that were his favorite and Cheng said, "told you not to be surprised, we have done a PhD on you, even my fiancé seems to know a lot about you."

Yibo smiled when he heard that, "This dork." he mumbled.

Once Yibo came back, he heard Zhan talking to someone, as he walked towards the room, he saw there was a woman there.

When Zhan saw Yibo he smiled, "oh you are back."

The woman turned back as well and once Yibo saw her, he was confused as hell, "sister in law?"

The woman smiled and said, "Hi, Yibo. How have you been?"

"What are you doing here?" he asked and Zhan spoke, "she is here to give you, your surprise."

Yibo looked at her and she said, "I am divorcing your brother and I am taking half of his money, I am also here to tell you that recently Sam was arrested because he had possession of drugs and your father was also fired from his job, because of his attitude.

Both your mother and father are going to be sent to the nursing house by your brother as he didn't want to keep them with him, and as for your sister, well she lost her child and is still living with her brother."

Yibo was confused as this was a lot to take in but in the end his sister in law said, "in short, what I mean to say is that they will never contact you again, I and Zhan have made sure of it."

"why would you?" Yibo asked.

His sister in law smiled and said, "you brother was doing the same things to his kids that your father did to you, neglecting them, cursing them and yelling at them, he also cheated on me and your family supported him.

I had no job and I couldn't get away but then I was approached by Zhan and he offered his help. And the rest is history, you should come and meet your nephew and niece sometimes they are still very young and I am sure you will adore them."

Yibo blinked before he took a deep breathe and then looked at Zhan, who gave him a smile, Yibo smiled as well and said, "would you like to have some tea sister-in-law."

"Just call me Candace Yibo and sure."

Yibo smiled as the four of them had some tea and Candace told Yibo many things, about how abusive and manipulating his brother was and how he made her life  a living hell, she also said that Yibo's mother and sister tormented her so much that she once also had a miscarriage and so much more.

The more Yibo heard the more disgusted he became, it was truly repulsive and he stopped feeling bad for all of them, he hoped they all died.

But Zhan had made sure that all those people would be destroyed to an extent where they never dare to show up in front of Yibo again. He had himself threatened them that if they ever show up anywhere near Yibo then worse things would happen to them.

After they were done talking Candace said, "you should meet your nephew and niece  as well."

"I will, someday."

"Whenever you want, I will always be thankful to Zhan." after a little more talking she left.

And once she was gone Yibo asked, "that was your surprise?"

"You didn't like it?"

"I loved it. Thank you." Yibo said, "oh and by the way I met with your mother today."

Zhan sighed, "oh god, what did she say?"

Yibo laughed, "a lot of things."

"I didn't knew you would meet her like this and anyways did you like your mother in law?"

Yibo laughed, "Mother-in-law?"

"Of course you can call her mom as well."

Yibo laughed more before he suddenly felt something cold on his finger, he raised his hand and saw a beautiful ring on his finger, he then looked at Zhan who said, "so, will you marry me?"

"Yes."

Yibo said before he leaned forward and kissed Zhan.

"I love you." Zhan said.

"I love you too."

Author's note: So here comes an end to this story, there were still many things that I could have wrote but then I thought that it would become long and dragging, and it would be better to just keep it short and sweet.

Perhaps if one day I felt to add something more, I could just rewrite it, although I don't think that would be needed. I also didn't feel like writing smut in this one.
