"Meredith is a nice person." Zhan commented as he walked beside Yibo, who clenched his fists once he heard that, while Zhan continued, "She is such a nice and beautiful woman and friendly too."

"Yeah, I know," Yibo said with disinterest.

"What happened? Why do you look so down?"

Yibo just shook his head and said, "I was just tired, by the way, you are going to be super busy from now on right? In the morning, you will have badminton practice, football practice in the evening, and then the debate club activities in the recess."

Zhan smiled and nodded, "Yeah right,  but I am surprisingly excited."

"Good for you."

As the days passed things were going rather smoothly, Zhan's practice was going well as well, and he had become extremely busy, he didn't have the time to hang out with Yibo before or after the class but they would sit together and hang out during the classes.

The great thing that happened was that Zhan was completely focused on his game, and what he didn't notice was that the others noticed him. His charm was back and once again everyone had started appreciating him for his sports skills, and he became good friends with Simon, Zhehan, and Meredith as well.

The teachers were no longer unhappy with him as he regularly attended the classes, his old self was finally coming back and there were three people who were not very happy with that as their limelight had been stolen.

One morning, Zhan met Yibo just right outside the gates, the two smiled at each other before Zhan said, "Why don't you come with me to the ground? Let's play for a while."

"Play what?"

"Badminton, you know how to play right?"

"Yes, I do." Yibo said and the two of them went to the ground which was fairly empty and while they were playing, Zhan said, "You know we are shifting this week."

"Meaning?"

"Meaning we are changing house."

"Oh, it must be a lot of work."

"Yeah, it is. But, it's alright, I guess."

"You must have a lot of memories in the house."

Zhan smiled and said nothing after that, he had a lot of memories in that house which was true but most of them were not that good, just constant yelling, beating, loud noises, and nothing else.

After playing for a while they sat down for a while before they went to the class and there Zhan said, "You know, I have to show you something. I found while we were moving stuff, I had no idea it was still in the house."

"What is it?" Yibo asked with excitement Zhan opened his bag and took out a necklace, which seemed quite old and not in good condition, but Yibo could recognize the gold and diamonds. And it must be extremely expensive.

"Wow," he said.

Zhan smiled and said, "It belonged to my late grandmother and she gave it to my mother, I remember that my grandmother and mother both loved this necklace a lot, I had thought that we had lost this but no it was lying hidden in the storeroom, my mother must have kept it there to hide it and then she forgot about it."

Yibo took the necklace and smiled, "what are you planning to do with this?"

"I am planning to restore it's beauty and give it to my mother as a gift."

"But it might cost a lot."

"I talked to my brother and he agreed, I am planning to go after the practice, but I really wanted to show this to you."

"It's very beautiful no wonder why your mother and grandmother loved it."

Zhan smiled, "it was a gift to my grandmother from her father."

"I see. It's precious." Yibo said.

As the students started to get in, Zhan kept the necklace back in the bag and while he kept the necklace back, Yibo looked around and saw Brenna near the door but when she saw that Yibo had noticed her she turned and went away.

The classes resumed again and they went smoothly soon the recess came, and Yibo had gone to talk to the professor about some topic that he didn't get whereas Zhan was met with Meredith and the two walked for a while standing outside the class.

Once Yibo came back to the class after talking to the professor he nearly bumped into Brenna and she looked rather worried, she just looked at him and gave him a look before she ran away.

Yibo felt that something was wrong before he thought about something.

The classes had ended and Yibo was the last one to leave but as he was about the leave the class he heard two people arguining in the corridor and he recognised Zhan's voice, so he stayed back and listened for a while as Brenna and Zhan argued.

"Brenna, return the ring right now."

"Why?"

"Because that ring belongs to my mother it's her engagement ring and she adores and you took it without permission."

"Are you calling me a thief? Besides your mother has worn it for so many years, Can't she buy a new one and give this to me? I want it! And besides I am your girlfriend this is going to be mine in the future."

"I will buy you another ring but this belongs to my  other, you have previously taken things from my house as well, like watches that cost a thousand dollars, earrings, and my mother's shoes and she has never said anything but not this time it is her ring and she holds it dear."

Breann pouted and said in a baby voice, "Okay, I will give it back, once you give me that necklace that I had seen in the photo of your mother."

And this time Yibo heard Zhan's cold and louder voice, "Don't talk nonsense Brenna, it's not yours, and return my ring right now or else I will go to your parents."

Brenna made a crying face and when she saw that it had no effect on Zhan she threw a tantrum and threw the ring at his face, "you are an asshole!" she said and walked away

Back in the present, Yibo's eyes widened and his heart shook as he rushed to Zhan's bag and searched for the necklace, but didn't see it there.

Zhan also noticed Yibo going through his bag and looking worried, and then Yibo suddenly ran outside the classroom Zhan thought that something was wrong so he ran after him

Yibo ran as fast as he could as if it was him who had lost his most precious thing, he was able to find Brenna walking hurriedly through the corridor and so he yelled at the top of his lungs, "STOP RIGHT THERE BRENNA!"

Brenna stopped and all the eyes were on him, but Yibo didn't care as the teachers, and students watched him, Yibo walked straight to Brenna and raised his hand,"Return it!"

Brenna looked at him with wide eyes and pretended to be innocent as she made an innocent face, "I have no idea what you are talking about."

"You know very well what I am talking about! Return it or I will call the cops on you!"

Brenna's eyes widened and she made a crying face, "Why are you harassing me? Zhan has sent you, right? He just can't see me happy?"

"What the hell is going on here huh!" Grady said as he stood before Brenna and glared at Yibo trying to intimidate him but Yibo didn't budge, some teachers as  well as the principal came there too and Zhan stood behind Yibo,"What happened Yibo?"

Yibo looked at Grady and said, "Your girlfriend has stolen something and she is a thief I want it back! Or else I am calling the cops!"

Grady came to Yibo and was about to charge him and Zhan wanted to come before Yibo but Yibo said, "Touch me and I will call the cops and have you arrested for assaulting me, how does that sound."

The principal said, "Do you have any idea what are you saying? you are accusing someone of being a thief!"

"I know what I am doing! sir, why don't we check the footage?"

Brenna saw Yibo arguing and when the attention was not on her she clutched her bag tightly and took a step back but as she was about to turn around and leave Yibo grabbed her bag and emptied it's contents on the ground and there was the necklace.

"That's mine," Zhan said as he picked it up.

Brenna started to cry and Yibo said, "Yes, and she stole it." he then looked at the principal and said, "Should I call the cops huh sir? and create a huge issue or are you going to deal with her? And just to be sure let's watch the CCTV footage as well."

The principal sighed and said to Brenna, "Come to my office Brenna."

Once he was gone Yibo gave a nasty look to Brenna, Grady and Liam and said, "Not only she is a cheating whore she is also a thief, guess a trash like you deserves her."

With that Yibo turned around and grabbed Zhan's hand before the walked away.
