Were-Folk are people who are partialy animals which may mean a lot, from their specific behaviour to diet or even possible mating season. They are mostly living away from humans in their best possible climate and environment. Were-Folk are mostly human looking with additional animal traits.

Types of Were-Folk :

Werewolves - Humans of slim but very muscular build. Their arms and legs are those of a wolf. They have human faces. They also have ears and a tail along with glowing wolf eyes. While mostly living in forests and near large plains the may also inhabit villages where they work as hunters among humans or even in cities if some rich noble would like one as a pet. Feral werewolves don't understand languages and usually just sticks to their own territory where they hunt and live. If mated with human-like races the child will be a werewolf otherwise it is unknown. If werewolf chooses to it may enter full-strenght time, where it will shift into a beast almost completely but be stronger and faster.

Werecats - Slim humans with cat ears and tail. Their arms and legs like those of a cat with sharp claws. Their eyes are also cat-like allowing them for near perfect vision if darkness with only minimum amout of light. While not magically gifted they're talented hand-to-hand fighters and thanks to their cat-like abilities they can move around without making much noise. They can also turn into cat-like creatures that represent their wilder side, allowing them to attack ferociously. There are many diffrent type of werecats, from simple cat-like found at many households to dangerous werecat lions of deserts or tiger werecats from jungles.

Harpies - Usually very petite humans with wings instead of arms and bird-like legs. They usually don't stick around humans or other races, living in forests, mountains or even near beaches, on high points where most won't be able to reach. There are all type of harpies, depending where they live. As those living in forests will be smaller while those near beaches might be like albatross, which is very large. They lay eggs. Much like werewolves in human-like race cases of mating the child will be a harpy. They are sometimes met in cities if there will be a tower that they can live in or if a rich nobleman wants an exotic pet.

Centaur - Humans who are half-horses. They are usually rather strong, able to wear heavy armor and race onward with their horse-half. Centaurs live near plains and it's not surprising to find them living in villages of other races as they are very strong helping in transporting the goods or even working at the field while dragging the farming equipment. They have their honor and no matter if a farmer or a noble warrior, no centaur will agree to have someone ride on their back unless it's their loved one or someone they trust with their life. In case of human-like race mating the child will always be a centaur. Centaur warriors appeal to human society and many become knights and their families gain the noble privilage.

Gorgon - Race of humans who are half-snakes. They are very large and are rather battle-set race. They live in mountains, some villages and even swamps. They are very strong and hard to hit. They can climb trees and crush their pray with powerful tails. They have scaly arms with claws, long snake tails instead of legs, part of their bodies are protected by scales and they have snake-like eyes. The mating with human-like race always results in gorgon baby. Wild Gorgons are very territorial and to freely live in their place a person must earn their respect or become a mate of someone from their tribe. Civilized Gorgons have very good relationship with The Dawn Empire and many of them become Kenshi.

Naga - Race that lives underwater. Most are the size of a human and human look. Their whole body is scaly and they have snake-like tails that they can use either for swimming or slithering across the land. They also have snake-like eyes. They have many settlements and even cities underwater. They are very closely bounded to Shallas, as women can become her sworn priestesses, priestesses gain ability to additionaly control lighting and their hair become snakes. Males who wants to learn fighting are Myrmidons, armed with a trident and wearing scaly light armor. In most contacts Naga are rather cold towards landwalkers but they also trade and sometimes fall in love with landwalkers. Offspring will always be a Naga.

Arachne - Humans with lower part that of a spider. They are also a race that has many varations depending on where they live. Those who prefer to live among civilized nations are usually tailors, using their silk-like web to create high grade clothes that reach high prices. Wild Arachne are very territorial and often trap unaware travellers in their web. Male Arachne are more ferocious than females but females are usually bigger than them, at least for a few races. They can reproduce male / female and lay impregnated eggs inside their webs or a female may lay eggs inside the womb of a woman of different race to carry her offspring.

Lizardman - Humans of reptile origin. They usually look like humans but their body is covered in think layer of scales for protection, they also have tails and lizard eyes. They are race where most people become warriors. It is a very important aspect of their life as they train their entire life and often throw challanges against each other or warriors of other races. It's especially important when they are ready to have offspring where they travel the land in search for a warriors who's stronger than them and proves this by defeating them in battle with fair ease. It is important as they belive that having a child with such person will result in even stonger and better fighter. Defeat lizardman whose proposition was accepted will usually stop fighting and stay at home to raise child and look after home. This works in case of both male and female lizardman. Salamanders are fire versions of Lizardman. Their bodies are resistent to all fire magic and they're capable of using fire attacks such as fire breathing themselves. Their tail is usually on fire and some more advanced in art of fire even have flaming hair.

Dragonewt - Humans of dragon origin. Dragonewt were created by mages who wanted to experiment with dragon and human possibility ot create offspring. The effect was a Dragonewt. Their body is covered with scale stronger than steel. They can fly and breath fire. While looking a lot like humans it's impossible to think of them as such. Their arms and legs are dragon-like and they have pair of dragon wings. Most physical traits depend on their dragon blood. If having an offspring they lay eggs from which a dragonewt will always hatch. They like treasures and become very possessive of their items and lover.

Nekomata - Twin tailed - their single tails splits into two - werecats capable of magic. They're more wild than what most would expect from magic users. They can completely turn into a cat and sneak into houses like that to steal food or even become pets in disguise. For most part they're rarely capable of upholding it for long and sooner or later they will show their true nature. Their werecat nature gives them the same possibilities but their magic allows them to enchant their claws or for a very advanced nekomata to turn others into cats or other small animals, while not eternal the curse will not be broken as long as someone enjoy their new life. Some mages turn into nekomata if they are cursed with their magic and manage to turn back with their own power.

Kitsune - The nine-tailed fox. Magically gifted were-folk with fox ears and nine fox tails. They're born only with a single tail and they grow more with power they achieve, they also possess very long lifespans thanks to their powers. Those who have all nine tails are the strongest entities in the world and can cast magic so powerful in can tear into mountains, however, it would quickly leave them vulnurable so they usually live by themselves or as 'guardian' of village where they're fed, clothed and sheltered in exchange for protecting village from threats. They usually enchant their mate with the same longevity they have and with them forever. Kitsune are leaving their parents upon reaching adulthood and reaching second tail that proves they're capable of defending themselves. It's also said that their tails are cursed and all who touch them will suffer for it if they're not their mate or someone they hold close.

Girtablilu - Scorpion-like were-folk. They live among the deserts where they can move silently in shifting sands to await their prey. They upper half is that of human while lower is a scorpion, making them dangerous because of claws they use to pin someone or grab their weapon while using their tails with poisoned needle to paralyse or straight up kill someone. They often live as bandits but Sand People hire them as assassin and scouts.

Kappa - Frog-like were-folk capable of amazing feats of jumping and kicking. Their powerful legs allow them to jump over small walls and sometimes even houses. They can kick with enough strength to make a grown man in armor fall. They often act as spies or thieves for their own amusement. They're not evil or overall bad by nature but they have a very mischevious nature, being a living curse for lake and river fisherman unless they have something to trade in exchange for peace, sometimes if their 'tribute' is very good Kappa might even help them for that by helping with finding a better fishing spot or straight up giving them what they came for.

Minotaur - Bull-like were-folk with horns and powerful hooved legs. They are very strong, easily capable of overpowering normal human. They can charge using their horns and they're usually armed with some giant weapons to break all those who throw them a challange. There are both male and female representatives of their races, where male show strength female are usually smarter and still stronger than simple humans. They are not evil by nature but there are those who prefer to be evil and join Dark Elves are slave overseer or as warriors. In normal circumstances they're usually hired at farms and by lumberlacks to help using their amazing strength.
