I woke up that morning, having a huge headache. I don't know why, because I certainly didn't have alcohol. I stood up from my bed, took off my hoodie and walked to the bathroom.

I opened the medicine cabinet and saw some painkillers on the shelf. I quickly grabbed them and had some.

I'm seventeen Jesus.

I quickly come into realization that it's December and I should start buying Christmas presents, but I'm too lazy to do anything.

That's probably the main reason I get along with my brother.

I walked out into the living room, and plopped myself down in a seat in front of the TV. I change the channel to some horror movie and lay back.

About thirty minutes into the movie, I got thirsty. I paused the movie and got up to get something to drink. I realized I hadn't seen Dan or Phil in the apartment today, and was quite worried.

I hopped into the kitchen and stopped at the fridge. I was going to get something to drink, but I realized there was a note on the fridge.

Dan and I went to buy some stuff and a few presents! Hope ur okay! :)

I laughed at his child-like humor and opened up the fridge. I saw apple juice, water, and ribena.

Of course that was their fridge.

I poked around and saw a half way finished coke bottle in the back of the fridge. I shrugged and grabbed it. I went over to the rack and snatched a cup.

I ran back into the living room and quickly play the movie. I turned all the lights off, and regretted it very soon.

Saw is scary, okay?

I jumped out of my seat and dashed to turn all the lights on. As I was doing so, I heard the door open. Of course I jump to conclusions and think it's a monster. I run near the hallway and grab the pipe that is next to it just in case.

When I hear a light squeal, I realize that it's the boys. I drop the pipe and run back into the lounge, trying not to get caught.

"Phil! No, we are not doing that!"

"Why not! My mum always wanted to meet Andre!"

What.

Meet Phil's Mum? I mean sure, the way he talks about her she seems pretty cool, but she's my dad's ex-wife!!!! It would be supremely awkward! Ho-

DING.

I jumped at the small sound in my pocket. I quickly grabbed it and saw I had a message from Jamie. Jamie was the girl who seemed like she could be tough, but couldn't harm a fly.

I remember one time back in our fifth grade class, she did the question a different way that wasn't wrong. The teacher than went to tell her that she could've done it a shorter way, but instead she apologized to the teacher.

I read the text and turned around to see if Phil had come in yet. I saw him staring out the window while Dan must've been making some type of food.

"Hey Phil! Are you okay?" I asked since he seemed to have a worried expression written on his face.

He looked over to me and seemed to snap out of his trance. He was usually pale, but looked even more pale than he usually did.

"Can I go out to eat with my friends?" I asked as he grinned.

"Sure, just be careful." He said, his voice sounding a bit hoarse.

I quickly smiled and ran into the kitchen to alarm Dan. Phil seemed to have been a little out of it, so I wanted to make sure Dan knew.

"Hey Dan? Phil seems a little...dazed. Can you keep a eye on him?" I whispered as Dan turned and faced me.

"Yeah! Of course! He seemed to be spacing out while we were out! I'll watch him." Dan whispered screamed.

We chuckled a bit before I went to go get changed to something I could wear outside. I slammed my door shut and stared rummaging threw my dresser. I found a black plaid shirt in the bottom. I saw some ripped black jeans and grabbed them quickly.

It was mid-December so I knew I should wear some type of jacket, but I just threw on a hoodie. I pulled of my boot slippers and jumped into my drawer to find socks. I found some vampire dog ones an put them on.

Ugh, shoes.

I dropped down to my knees and looked under the bed to see what kind a of shoes were there. I threw out some dark black boots and some light brown ones. I was giving up hope, until I found my worn out black converse and slipped them on.

I pushed open my door and grabbed my phone from outside my room. Phil was sitting on the couch, Dan cuddling into his side. Both of them were asleep so I snapped a quick photo.

I mad a mad dash out the door and texted Jamie back.

I ran down the street, not caring if people were staring. I had to get to a place, and needed to get there quick. I continued running, until I felt myself hit into a figure.

Shoot.

"S-sorry." I somehow managed to get out.

"Watch it kid." The man replied to me, a sound of disgust n his voice.

These are the moments I wish I actually knew the outside world existed. I stopped running, because why would I want to run into another stranger?

I kept on walking and soon heard a ding from my phone.

I waited for the answer, and didn't get one until I realized I was at the shop. I raced in and saw my three best friends sitting at a table, my stuff already bought and paid for.

"Hey guys! Sorry I'm late!" I yelled to them as I sat down next to Amelia.

"It's fine! We have to talk to you about something important!" Jamie exclaimed at me, worry clouding her voice. I took a sip of my latte they had bought me and heard another ding from my phone.

"One second!" I mumbled through the latte, a little bit of the drink spilling out of my mouth.

I looked outside and saw a red - headed girl looking straight at me. A smile broke out on my face, and decided not to tell my friends.

"So, about the thing with Kyle..." Jamie started.

"Why was he at your temporary apartment yesterday!?!?" Emma blurted out of nowhere.

"He was helping me clean."

"Sur-"

"Andre!" I heard somebody scream as the door. I peeked my head out from behind the booth, and grinned like the Grinch. Emma gave a confused look and Amelia must've realized.

I stood up from my seat and went over and hugged her. She wrapped her arms around me and we both started crying. People were staring, but I don't think you're supposed to care when one of best friends, who lives on the other side of the world, shows up at a Starbucks near you.

We released each other and motioned for her to come follow me. She did as told and we both sat down.

"So guys, can we talk about the other topic later? I'd like you to meet, Mel!"
