Guy Talk
CHAPTER SIX
Daniel’s P.O.V
I know what everyone is thinking, that I am a bad guy who abandoned his own fiancée and went after some childhood friend. And I am certain most of you are thinking I was risking my perfect relationship for a fling. But, I tell you it’s more than that. Before, I raise my case; let’s go back to the story.
“It would be bad of me not to complete what I started?”
Tiara stopped, she turned to me in anger. Although every emotion on her face usually makes me laugh, it didn’t this time. She was beyond angry at me, which made me stepped back few steps with my hands up in surrender, “Okay. Okay. I’m sorry.”
She raised a brow, “For what?”
I shrugged, I don’t know; for whatever put you in that current mood.”
“You mean the nonsense you just performed in there. Everyone was there and you went ahead to do what you did…” her cheeks turned shades of pink.
“I just wanted to please you and you seemed pleased.” I closed the gap between us and made her smell herself on my finger. She moved back, her eyes blazing red, and without words she stormed off from my presence.
I chuckled. It was so cute.
“What do you think you are doing?” a voice said behind me. I frowned before turning to her. The finger I placed in Tiara’s nose was safe in my pocket now.
“What do you mean?”
Fikkie’s moved closer to me. We were almost the same height thanks to the heel she had on her feet. “Are you trying to ruin my wedding?”
Okay. I was confused now. I thought she had heard my discussion with Tiara, but now it certainly was something else. Feigning ignorance, I shrugged, “I’ve no idea what you’re talking about.”
“Of course, you do. I know you don’t love your fiancée and you are into this cheating business big deal, but watch it, Daniel.”
I wouldn’t have heard her if not for the fact that she was so close to me
I stared at my little sister; as close as we were, we never interfered in each other’s business, so what was the deal.
“What’s the insult?”
She looked around; no one else has left the room. “I know what you did with Tiara. If I see it, do you know how many other people saw it in there? Don’t ruin my marriage with your lust.”
She turned back towards the room, and soon I heard her loud laughter.
I walked towards Tiara’s direction. Was she still feeling the headache, I wonder?
Whatever Fikkie was thinking about, she was wrong?
When I got to Tiara’s door, I pressed on the bell, gently.
I waited, and soon she opened the door. The moment she saw me, she sighed,
“Can I get a break from you? You’re clingier than the clingiest boyfriend, and you aren’t even my boyfriend.”
I smiled, “Just came to check on you. Are you feeling better?”
She nodded, “Thanks. I think the drugs already kicked in. I am feeling way better. What about Tina, is she cool?”
I frowned, “Tina is fine. You don’t need to bother yourself with her.”
“Anyways, thanks for checking on me. Later.”
She locked the door to my face without warning.
I smiled at the closed door.
“I never see you smile at me that way.”
I frowned; what’s with everyone sneaking on me. I turned toward my fiancée, “How are you feeling, now?”
Her red eyeballs had reduced drastically; she folded her arm under her round breast with a smirk on her face. It wasn’t a good sign in any way. “I see, I am the second option here.”
I chuckled, “What are you talking about, babe? You are always my first option.”
She turned, “I won’t allow you waste my life, Daniel. I am not blind and I know what’s going on. I don’t care about your reason for acting the way you are, but I am done crying over you and I refuse to make a fool of myself.”
She turned swaying her big behind. There was a reason Tina had lasted than most of my girlfriends, apart from the fact that she was beautiful with an insane curve; she was brilliant.
Tina was the only one that had challenged me and got me thinking of things I never thought I would. Now, she got me thinking again.
What the heck did she meant by ‘she refused to make a fool of herself.’
I shook my head. The purpose of this vacation was to relax and enjoy myself. I wouldn’t allow a woman riddle bother me.
I decided to have some fun, so I left the fifth floor and move to the bar. Maybe some booze would take my mind off Tiara. Unlike the first day Fikkie had reserved the bar for us alone, this time it was filled with people. I laughed; it was exactly what I needed.
I loved having fun and this was my best way to unwind.
I moved towards the bartender with ease. “Martell…”
The bartender nodded and moved towards the bar.
“Good to see you here,” Someone slide into the seat beside him. “You’re just the man I am looking for.”
Thankfully, the barman dropped my drink. I picked up my drink, and turned towards him. “And why so? We aren’t exactly friends, are we?”
He smiled, picked up his drink. He made sure to drink slowly, which annoyed me before responding, “But we’re both guys, and I think you need to hear the truth from someone.”
“What truth?”
“It is about your open lust to Tiara.”
I lift my drink and stood up from my chair. The last thing I needed was some guy who doesn’t know me, judging me.
But Moses seemed to be the persistent type; he also lifted his drink and followed me.
I moved to a more secluded part of the bar, and he did the same, sitting himself opposite me with a raised brow. I didn’t say a word.
“I’m quite determined to have this conversation with you. I don’t think you can escape me.”
It would be as easy as peanut to escape him, but I allowed him dwell in his confidence.
“So, what’s your business with Tiara?”
He nodded, “She’s a friend I wouldn’t want to see hurt.”
I stared him in the face to see how serious he was and he was quite serious. I had no idea when I started laughing,
“Come on, guy. It’s not up to a week you met her. Come out honest and say you want to fuck her. I might believe you better.”
He narrowed his eyes, “Truly Tiara is beautiful, but trust me, she isn’t the only beautiful lady among the bridesmaid. I’ve my eyes set to another person.”
Honestly, it was pure curiosity that made me asked, “Who?”
He raised his brow. I already asked the question before realizing it’s none of my business, “Sorry. You don’t need to answer that question.”
He shrugged, “Well, it’s not like I could pursue her due to a factor, but it seemed it might be possible soon.” He stood up with his drink and patted my back.
“I just hope you make the right
decision.”
