Explanations
Tiara’s POV
His long finger covered my mouth, and he pulled me in for a kiss. I muffled a moan and tried to tap him to stop, but he was so engrossed in the kiss that his hand moved to my ass to squeeze it lightly. For a few seconds, I must have lost my mind because I didn’t stop him until we heard, “Babe, what’s that?”
Tobi’s voice sounded muffled, but it was enough doze to wake me up from my foolishness. I pulled Daniel away with all my strength, and when I looked at him, I could visibly see the confusion in his face. “What’s that?’ He asked.
He hadn’t bothered to whisper or even make his voice low. It was as if he wanted whoever was in my bathroom to hear his voice, and that was what happened.
Before I could respond, Tobi pushed open the bathroom door with a white towel wrapped around his waist. His abs were displayed, and his smooth body looked sleek from the wet water still on his body.
I frowned.
He stopped at the bathroom door and stared at Daniel. Thankfully, I had put enough gaps between us at that moment, or else I would have had no way to defend myself. He didn’t bother drying the rest of his body, and Tobi hated to remain wet after bathing.
He raised a brow up and faced me, “Who is this?”
Knowing how forward Daniel is, I quickly moved towards Tobi direction and did the introduction. “Babe, this is Daniel, my childhood friend brother. And Daniel, this is Tobi, my boyfriend.”
I thought the introduction would ease the air a bit, but it seemed to make it hotter. They didn’t hide the fact that they weren’t pleased to see each other. Daniel waited for a few more seconds before turning and leaving the room. I would have let out a breath of relief if I hadn’t seen Tobi turn his icy gaze at me.
I put some distances between us.
“What was he doing in your room?” He had started drying his body off; that should be a good sign that he was calming down, but nothing was ever predictable with guys.
I racked my brain to find more lies. “He keep to inform me about the practice for our dance.” I blurt out the first thing in my mind and almost slapped myself.
Was that the best thing I could come up with? But under the situation, it was the best thing I could do.
“Was that why he entered your room with so much ease as if he had been coming here?”
I chuckled. It was way awkward, but the more a person tells a lie, the easier it was to come up with more lies. “This is the first time he is coming here.” I added a bold stance to it, “And what do you mean by he entered with ease? You were in the bathroom when he entered? What are you implying?”
He frowned. He had finished drying off his body and was now changing into one of his comfy clothes. He didn’t speak.
I also turned away from him and focused on my phone.
Then I heard him sigh slowly, “Sorry, babe. I’m not suspecting you or anything. I just got jealous for a moment. You know my baby is so fine.” He moved closer to me and put his hand around my waist.
I smiled. I was so happy that I was able to avert that disaster. I allowed his hand to linger on my waist a bit, but I still feigned angry at him.
“Look at me now, babe. Don’t tell me you’re still angry.”
Finally, I turned to face him. With his face this close to me, anyone could tell I won a lottery scoring such a handsome boyfriend. “Why will you even think that? Someone who is just my childhood friend.”
He nodded. “I said sorry, nah. But if I was your childhood friend and saw you like this now, I’ll surely be interested in you.”
I hit him playfully, “I was fine since childhood.”
“I bet you are. I missed you so much, babe. I thought staying away for two weeks wouldn’t be that hard, but it seemed I can’t live without you.”
I blushed. Tobi wasn’t the type to say his feelings out that easily. Seeing Daniel in my room must have made him feel more insecure than I thought. “I missed you too, babe.”
This time, when he pulled me in for a kiss, I closed my eyes. I tried to imagine all the good things that had happened to me recently, but my stupid mind drifted to the last few hours that Daniel was in me. Without realizing it, I let out a low moan.
Tobi pulled away from me and chuckled. “I can see you truly missed me. I do, too, but I am hungry first.”
I felt guilty and, at the same time, thankful that he was hungry.
“Should I order in for you?”
He shrugged, “I am fine with anything.”
I decided it was better to order in; anything I needed to do to avoid Daniel for a few more hours. As I planned on making the orders, Tobi moved towards his bag and pulled out his laptop. I arched a brow, but I finished making the orders, then I faced him, “You brought your laptop here.”
He nodded as if it wasn’t a big deal.
Annoyed, I moved in front of him, “I thought you came here because you missed me and wanted to spend some time with me.”
He nodded again, “Of course. There was no reason for me to come all the way to Osun state.”
“Then…” I pointed at his laptop again.
Tobi was no fool, so he knew how to take a hint.
He sighed, “You know I can’t just abandon my work completely for two weeks. While you’re busy doing those practices you talked about, I can keep updates on my work and whenever you’re free. We can hang out.”
I stared at him in disbelief.
Wasn’t it better for him to have just stayed in Lagos? What was the point of him coming over if he was going to be all over his laptop – working.
He knew from my look that he had done something wrong – again. He sighed, “I can’t just be in here bored why you’re doing things with your friends, right?”
As if I was going to leave him in here to be bored. We barely spent any vacation together as a couple because both our works were tedious. This was supposed to be like a mini vacation for us both, but he was going to be working.
I moved closer to shut his laptop down when the bell rang.
