Tiara’s P.O.V

Daniel remained silent at the door for a while. I frowned at the door before moving towards them. 

At the door was Daniel locking Tobi’s shirt. My frown deepened. I hadn’t heard any noise or sound, so I was surprised that it had gotten to the extent that his hand was locked deeply in his shirt.

When Tobi eyes shifted to mine, I could see a sign of hurt flick in his eyes, before he smirked at me. “I know you are going to be here.” He said. 

I moved outside, checking to see if there were any spectators around, but others seem to have something better doing with their time.

I frowned at them, “What’s going on here?”

Daniel eye’s shifted to me, and then he looked back at Tobi, his hand still deeply buried in his shirt. 

“Tell him to leave me alone first then we can talk.” Tobi said his voice calm and collected for someone whose cloth was locked. 

“As if there’s anything to talk about. Do you think I will let you go through that rubbish simply because I left you alone when I saw you then?”

Tobi chuckled, “And what will you do to stop us? We’re adults and can very well make our decisions.”

This time, Daniel landed a blow on Tobi’s cheek before I could stop him. I stared at them in disbelief. Whatever was happening, I hope it wasn’t because of me? I can’t imagine two guys fighting over me. 

Before any of them could react or say something else, I put myself in between them. “Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! You just need to stop acting like kids. What’s the matter that we can’t settle with few words, Dan? Why do you have to hit him?”

I knew Daniel was already in a bad mood today, but physical fighting wouldn’t resolve anything. 

Tobi’s hand was on his cheek. He wiped a trace of blood. “Well, I just thought it was okay to inform you because you are her brother, but if you don’t want to be part of it that’s fine.”

I was getting irritated by the fact that I had no idea what they were talking about, “Be part of what?” I asked, before Daniel would flare up on his face again. 

Tobi’s smirk only grew bigger, “What do you think? You think I will tell a cheat like you what I plan to do?”

His words stings and I felt my cheek red in embarrassment, But Daniel already pulled me behind him, “Don’t you dare call her a cheat, again? You’re nothing but a hypocrite.”

Tobi nodded, “Whatever, I already pass across the message I came over to. You guys can go in and continue whatever you were doing.” His eyes slowly moved to me in a narrowed gaze. I knew what it meant, he was disappointed in me. 

I felt guilty before, but I don’t anymore. I knew my heart wanted this, and I don’t regret doing this at all. 

Daniel held my face, “Are you okay?”

I nodded. It was hard to believe he still cared about how I felt first when he was hurting. “Good. Don’t let his words get to you.”

I nodded, again. 

“What’s that all about?”

He moved towards his bed and slum on it, “Fikayo has decided to marry Tobi.”

“What!”

To say I was shock was an understatement. I mean, they don’t even know each other. They have never met each other before, so how could that be possible. I felt like there was something I was missing. 

“But don’t worry too much. It’s not a real marriage. They decided to have a contract marriage to save Fikayo from embarrassment.”

“What!”

That was even more unbelievable. I knew Tobi love business and work, but I never thought he would use his own marriage as a business deal. “I’ll talk Tobi out of it.”

Daniel stared at me as if I just said I was going to go pet a lion cub. “Did you see the way he looks at you? Tobi hates you right now. I don’t think he will listen to anything you have to say. Instead, he will make sure to do the opposite, and that’s getting married to Fikayo.”

He was right. Tobi hated my guts right now. “If he is going to do the opposite of whatever I say, what about encouraging him to get married to Fikayo. He might do the opposite, too.”

Dan thought about it for a while, “I don’t think that will be easy, either. Fikayo must have given him an offer he can’t resist.”

Okay, that might be true. Yet, I couldn’t help the feeling at the back of my mind, “But why Tobi? They are other guys in the hotel.”

“And they are friends with Fred? I don’t know why Fikayo decided she wants Tobi or why Tobi agreed. But it seemed we can’t stop them.”

I sighed. I know they were both heartbroken, but getting into a contract marriage or whatever they planned to do was not the way put. 

“I don’t think we should just sit by and watch them proceed with this. They need to be stopped.”

“But how?”

I shrugged, “I have no plan, but this… whatever Fikkie and Tobi plan to do can’t happen. They might end up regretting it, and we need to help them realize, how wrong it is.”
