they would all abandon me
i was the one giving effort
i was the one who texted them first
the one who comforted them
the one who made sure they got home safe
but when it came to me
there was no one to ask if I was okay
nobody cared enough to try and wrap up my bruised heart
but from that I learned no one has the same heart as you
and if you spend your whole life expecting people
to treat you the same way
you will forever be disappointed
